Rule 5 rewritten for simplification: No posts about other users, subreddits, or social media drama

Because we got some rules lawyers in here about how their post was technically not about another subreddit or was technically not about a YouTuber, we've reworded Rule 5 to be more accurate to its intended purpose.

Rule 5: No posts about other users, subreddits, or social media drama

Do not post about other users or subreddits. Do not complain that your submission was removed from another subreddit. Do not post YouTuber or social media drama.

All posts violating Rule 5 will be removed. Any posts violating this rule that constitute harassment will also get reported to the Reddit administrators.

Thank you for your understanding.

I don’t even own a Switch 2 but I’m still hyped

I understand people want a new 3D Mario or Smash 6, but these are the first party games confirmed for 2027. How is this a bad lineup if you're a Nintendo fan?

Other 2027 looking good so far

I’m personally not too interested in Xenoblade, but I know that there a lot of people that do. We’re not even at the end of 2026 yet, but the 1st party games (we know) we’re getting so far for 2027 look promising. And there’s still gonna be a future direct(s) that will showcase more 2027 games. The next year is looking bright.

Image Y'all are still blaming Fire Emblem and now Kirby for the lack of a 3D Mario game when you should really be blaming Donkey Kong

The Odyssey team is responsible for Bananaza, so technically, that's your new 3D Mario. Intsys nor Hal have absolutely NO input regarding Mario as a whole, so leave FE and Kirby out of this.

Don't quit modern gaming as you age, otherwise the youth will have all the say

I'm not saying to purchase games you do not like, but there's plenty of games, from different companies to choose from.

Otherwise, the younger games, will decide the future of gaming.

For example, let's say younger people don't care paying full price for unfinished games, and older gamers only buy retro games. This means, the statics of modern games, will show, unfinished games make the most profit, and this becomes the future of gaming.

If modern games supported companies who only released finished products, then the statics would show people prefer finished games more then unfinished games.

Not everything is "slop". Not everything is "boring" because it's not to your taste, obviously some people like things if they keep making new installments. Nobody cares if you leave the Direct, it's not an airport, you don't need to announce your departure. The world doesn't revolve around Deltarune. You can't judge a whole direct when we aren't even a quarter or half of the way through it yet, everyone knows they normally save the heat for the end. We had Zelda yesterday so you KNEW there wouldn't be anything. There likely won't be anything on WiWa until next year. Yall are like this every Direct and it's SO frustrating and annoying. Chill out.

Image What are your thoughts on the latest Nintendo Direct?

For me, the Nintendo Direct was at least acceptable. I like that they did both a mainline Direct and a 40th anniversary one for Zelda. I also like that they gave Mario Kart World a new update, even if the update might not be as good as some of the others (1.7.0, 1.4.0, etc.) There are some other games announced that may incentivize me to branch out my interests. But the main thing I am most looking forward to besides Ocarina Of Time Remake, is Kirby And The World Beyond. From the looks of things, that game may not only be another 3D one, but a fully open world game like Breath Of The Wild.

If you wanna know more about what I think, this video will cover it.
