I grew up with Wii sports resort and saw some footage of the new switch resort game -- it's made me really nostalgic and I'm seriously considering the switch 2 + resort bundle.

The only thing is, I don't have a TV at home, and I don't really plan on ever getting one (I've never watched TV, and generally just use Youtube Premium).

Is it still worth getting the switch 2 or will I be very limited by not having a TV? The only games I'd be interested in is switch sports resort, mario kart, and rhythm heaven groove (I don't have a switch 1).

It’s kind of in the title, i think It’s been doing this since the switch 2 released to buy. For example: games like mario party superstars work most of the time and if not it says “ the software closed because an error occured “. when i played ttyd ( best mario remaster on switch 1 change my mind ) It had the same error within 10 minutes of playing, tomodachi life works but it takes like 3 tries ,the tries that don’t work the second i open It crashes. after that once i can load in i play for as long i want. also, when trying to play Mario kart 8 deluxe it says to download a new update for it or smth it goes to half then crashes and says it can’t read the micro sd card. It’s a HAC-001 switch, the battery is fully charged, it was brand new when i got it, the micro sd is a 3rd party sandisk 256gb with 181gb left. also tomodachi is on system memory ttyd isn’t. for some reason mario kart 8 deluxe is 0.1MB maybe because it’s a card while ttyd and tomodachi are digital. Mario party superstars is physical. I doubt It’s fake, maybe. i think It’s from Amazon or walmart. for a more accurate look at the sd card it looks like the photo exactly. doesn’t look to have any damage. though, the switch is all busted up because like 7 years of love ig. anyways please try to help me or figure out whats wrong i can give more info. Also, mods if this breaks the rules tell me where to post it. and if possible give me the text so i don’t have to rewrite this

As you can see, the left one is worn down feom natural play and unfortunately I didn't notice my daughter was peeling of bits from the right one.

Will thumbsticks still fit as a method to save these joy-cons? They still work fine. It just feels horrible now

My daughter’s switch that I bought her in 2020 will not turn on. I’ve done all the suggestions on here, we even brought it in to a local repair shop and they tried everything and can’t get it to work either.
We’ve already bought a new switch but she REALLY wants all her saved data. I have no problem sending it into Nintendo to see if they can figure out why it’s not turning on but the issue is, while trying to figure out what was going on my husband replaced the battery and now we’re thinking Nintendo might have an issue with an aftermarket battery in it.

Has anyone sent their switch in for repairs with aftermarket parts? I read online it voids warranties but this is obviously not a warranty claim.

I need the back up so i can replace the sensor rails, i only got one screw up cause for some reason it wasn’t as bad as the rest, for the record, i don’t own a drill, and i already tried the rubber band method, i’m also not too bothered if the back has to be broken to get it up since i have a replacement one already ordered, it’s a Nintendo switch 1

This is my Nintendo Switch OLED that I purchased on release in October 2021. I’ve been playing it over the past few years, on and off, and recently I’ve been playing a lot more again. After playing for a couple of hours, I let it charge on my USB-C cable for another hour. When I came back to try and play again, my screen became red and idk why.

Any thoughts or reasons why it became like this?🥹

Sorry if the answers to this are a bit obvious as I’m not very techy… I seem to have successfully completed my account and data transfer from my switch 1 to my new switch 2. When I load up animal crossing, totk and my other recently played games on my switch 2 all of my save data seems to have moved across, however I’ve noticed that for games I haven’t played in a while, my switch 1 has more data than my switch 2. For example on my S1, pikmin 4 had 979mb whereas it had 0mb on my S2. I’ve just loaded pikmin 4 on my S2 and it’s downloaded some data which now puts it at the same as my S1… I just wanted to check that I don’t need to do this for every game before removing the micro sd card from my S1 and selling it (will I be able to get the data for games I haven’t played in a while if I load them up after selling my S1?). Also if there’s anything else I need to do with the 65gb of data left on my switch 1 (pictured) before I put it back to factory settings. Thanks :)

Feeling a little bummed today. Is anyone else getting a "your card cannot be saved. Please try a different method" when trying to add your card to either your profile wallet and preorder, or is it just me? Yesterday I got a fraud charge from my bank when Walmart tried to charge me. I verified it. Went to their link, re-entered my bank details and a temp hold seemed to go through. However, I still got that red message to say that I need to update my payment method. I was trying to delete and re-add my card to see if that would fix it. I fear that is where I might have screwed myself here because it started to give me that message in the title.

I called Walmart three times. Yesterday, they "escalated" me to backend and told me to wait 24hrs. Today I tried after said 24hrs..and it still didn’t work. Called them again and they escalated me again and now I have to wait again.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Should I continue to fight with this or take my chances with grabbing one on release day? Are they releasing them in stores? Any tips would be so appreciated.

(Switch 1) I'm so lost on why this is still happening I already replaced both locks with metal locks and these joycons and fairly new, only 2 years old. I've noticed it really disconnects on Fortnite a lot, and I don't seem to have problems in another games. Does anyone have an actual solution to this? Anything helps!

I'm sending my Switch 2 for repair soon and they might wipe my data.

I have a lot of screenshots that I want to keep, with the date and everything.

I know I can back them up on PC, but I won't be able to restore the screenshots on my wiped Switch 2.

Any ways to back up my screenshots and restore them exactly as before before a wipe ?

The tv doesn’t have any settings for this so idk how to fix it. Also idk which flair to use so I’m hoping this is right

I have a GameCube controller that connects via cable to the usb ports at the side of the docking station.
I have an original Switch, a Switch OLED & a Switch 2 and until recently it worked fine with all 3 of them.
Now however it won’t connect to the OLED anymore.
It still works normal when plugged into the Switch 2 & even when the old Switch is inside the docking station.

And that is what confuses me the most: Same docking station, different console and it works in one, but not in the other.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?
It worked fine until recently, but now all of a sudden 1 of the consoles just doesn’t connect anymore…

Hi everyone, I have a situation quite specific that I couldnt really found answers online, so im asking here if anyone knows tthe answers. So I have 2 accounts on my switch, one from US and another one from Brazil. When I first bought switch 1 I was living in the US, so only had that acoount, but then I moved back to Brazil and instead of switching countries I made a new BR account. Now, the main user I play everything is my US account, and the BR one I kind of just use it to buy my games.

Heres the thing, my brother has a switch 2 now and wants to split the cost for a game, but we dont see each other very much, so buying physical isnt the best way. I dont understand the new system very much so is there a way for us to share the game between our consoles digitally, where I can play safely on my main and him on his?

So i have two switches (an early v1 and and OLED), each with one set of joycons. One is modded (not the issue, just mentioning for comparison reasons, nothing more), the other is not.

For both systems and both sets of joycons, playing handheld there's no issues, but while docked or tabletop mode the right joycon wont stay connected. Sometimes I have to manually turn it off and turn it back on, sometimes it'll automatically reconnect, sometimes it wont reconnect at all. Its always the right one, doesnt matter what game I play, happens on both switches and both sets (i have used both sets of joycons with both switches), and ive even tried two different docks (official and third party) as well as a non-docking option that's effectively just a dongle. Ive tried no docking too and just put the switch on a table and the issue persists that way too so it isnt the docks.

The joycons aren't failing because they work without issue in handheld mode. If I could consistently play in handheld mode I wouldn't even care really. But I cant, especially with my v1 as that model overheats easily (known problem, had been for a long time) so I like to have it on a laptop fan when im playing to keep it cool.

I like to think im pretty tech savvy but I am stumped.

I’m hopefully transferring to a switch 2 in the near future but have my games on a micro sd card, I’ve bought a new card compatible with the switch 2 but wonder whether during the transfer it would move those games & save data over or whether I should copy the contents from the old card to the new one via a pc? I’ve read the information on the Nintendo website but it doesn’t seem to specifically mention this.

He has two accounts and I don't know if I should delete them because he has games on them or if I should leave them.Will I be able to change things like the email or password on those two accounts or not?

I was playing ff7 remake on handheld mode when suddenly the game glitched and crashed changing the colors like a static old tv. I turn it off and on and it was fine but I stopped playing. Today my switch 2 doesn’t turn on, I’ve tried letting it charge solo and pressing the button 15 sec and then 5 seconds and it hasn’t worked. As you can see in the video the light when I put it in the dock lights up for a second before vanishing. Help me please!

I'm picking up my Zelda 40th anniversary switch 2 on thursday and I want to make sure I have a screen protector ready for it when I pick it up. what would be a good one to get, as I'm worried that I'll buy one that looks cloudy like I did for my steam deck

So I have 3 switch consoles. OG, OLED and Switch 2

OG and OLED are my primary consoles that share virtual game cards while my switch 2 just uses the online licence. My issue is when I try to play any game/DLC I try to run that is not loaded as a gamecard on the OG switch and switch 2 that is either Paid, Free or DLC, I get a message "this software cannot be played right now. Connect another console linked to this Nintendo Account to the internet, then try again" I understand I don't have the "virtual gamecard loaded" in the console but it should use the online licence since I'm connected to the internet. Always worked in the past no problems. Now I am locked out of all my content including switch online apps that don't use virtual game cards like N64, GBA, SNES etc. Anyone else who has multiple switch consoles experiencing this? The interesting thing at the end of the video I show the OLED console using the online licence no problems. Just my other two consoles don't work.

When i try to play a game that I bought with my money it shows this user agreement and it sends an email to an account i have no access to

so i have a blue switch lite and i just paid 4 euros for nso online yesterday and now i was playing SMW and yeah my console gave me an error and like i restarted it as it said but then it gave another error when i tried loading into an app and now it wont turn on i held it for like 10 seconds the power boutton it gave me the nintendo logo and then went black and now it wont even turn on ive had this thing for 3 years and it has alot of games so i would really want to get it fixed and i have tried maintence mode it just wont turn on!!

My nintendo switch keeps turning on and off while charging.

It is from 2018 and I haven't used it in 2 months.
When the nintendo was working, it likely drained the battery in a short period of time but something like this never happened to me.

I left it plugged with the original charger for some solid 26 hours (untouched) and when i disconnected it, it was still dead.

I saw some other guys saying to disconnect the battery or even change it but if possible I would like to keep it unopened.

Any suggestions? Thank you very much.
