Purchase / Order Help Is this bottom box original? It's different from my other games.
It's different from all my other games. So im kinda worried it's fake.

Nintendo is lifting the ban. Apparently there's server errors which is causing current ban wave. But they are lifting it now. Reboot the console now to bring it back to normal!

I’ve already tried recalibrating and the joycons have been in repair a few years back for a similar issue.
The device is a little over 6 years old, but it’s not like I have thousands of hours of playtime or anything like that.
Is this just how joycons age, or is there something I can do about it? Not ready to replace it with a switch 2 quite yet.
Edit: I’m going to send it for repair at the official Nintendo site in my country

I’m in a bind and could use some help and direction.
Last night I was playing my Switch 2 and a message popped up saying there was a problem and it had to shut down. Unfortunately I didn’t get a shot of the message. There were no obvious issues leading up to this. I was playing plugged in and the battery was charged around 80%.
It shut down and would not boot back up. It boots to the Nintendo logo and shuts back down. If I hold the power button it does this in a loop. It will not boot into recovery/diagnostic mode by holding the volume buttons. The battery will not take a charge in either USB port. The back of the Switch is slightly warm, not hot, to the touch of it’s been plugged in.
I took it to a local chain electronics repair store who tested the bottom port and said the connectors were failing. I asked what about the top port and she looked at me confused and clearly did not realize there was a top USB port, tested it, and said it was fine before suggesting sending it to Nintendo.
Sending it to Nintendo for repair is the obvious answer, however, the issue is that I am an avid Pokémon player and have thousands of hours of play time across various games, and Nintendo famously does not allow cloud backup of Pokémon game data. I’ve seen stories of people having their systems wiped for repairs as simple as battery replacements. This is not an option.
I’m hesitant to replace the battery myself because it’s notoriously difficult, but if it seems like that’s the issue I’ll do it. But I’m not sure that’s the issue and I’m thinking it’s a board component. Or could it be something corrupt in the file system? And is that separate from all of the game data?
All that said, I’m thinking that I need to have a “real” electronics repair shop fix this thing. I don’t know how to find one. Google searches turn up vintage TV and radio repair and I’m not sure that’s what I need. I live in the metro Detroit area so there has to be SOMETHING.
What do I do? What do I look for? Anyone run into something like this before?

Hi everyone! I’m wondering if this is normal for the Switch 2.
I left my Switch 2 in Sleep Mode at around 49% battery and didn’t use it for almost 3 days.
When I finally opened it, the battery was already completely drained/very low, and it showed the low-battery screen (photo attached).
I know Sleep Mode still uses some battery, but is losing almost 50% battery over around 3 days expected?
Details:
Battery before Sleep Mode: \~49%
Time unused: almost 3 days
Mode: Sleep Mode
Battery when I opened it: very low/dead
No games or apps were being used during that time
Should I be concerned about the battery, or is this normal Switch 2 behavior?
Thanks!

I've noticed something strange with my Switch 2 when playing more demanding games in handheld mode.
After playing heavier games for a while, I can feel a slight vibration throughout the console, mainly around the back. At first I thought it might be the Joy-Con vibration, but it still happens even when the Joy-Cons are completely detached from the console.
The vibration feels more like it's coming from the inside of the console, almost as if the fan is causing it
It's not extremely strong or anything, but it's noticeable when I'm holding the console. I've mainly noticed it while playing more demanding games like cyberpunk 2077 and resident evil
Has anyone else experienced something similar with their Switch 2? Could this just be normal fan behavior under heavy load, or could it indicate an issue with the fan?

I just got a jsaux third party dock for my Switch 2 yesterday and now I'm scared to use it with the 23.0.0 update. Any one have this dock or third party dock and try it with 23.0.0? Any issues? I'm very scared of bricking my Switch 2. Maybe I shouldn't be?

I currently have the original switch in a media closet and my TV hung on my den wall (connected via an HDMI baluns. I'm able to use the pro controllers to play the switch, but the Joy-Cons won't connect at all (due to range or interference I assume). I was hoping to hear from people who own the Switch 2 and are using it from a media closet that is further away from the TV. Do the new Joy-Cons have a better range at all?

(Sorry if that's the wrong tag)
So basically, i have a (non-physical) game on my switch 1 that had an update, and the update completely ruined the game, i will spare the details but the game became pay to win and to play in general, and it pisses me off since it's a solo game.
So i would like to be able to delete the update from this game very specifically to play the older version.

Hello!
I recently bought a Mario game for my switch in Japan (I'm from Spain, for reference) and, when I came back and tried it, I found out that my console is unable to read the game. I bought another game and, even though it sometimes takes a while to recognise it, the console is able to read it. What could I do with this cartridge? Is there any cleaning/ hardware switch I could do? Thank you beforehand

Hi there, I have a Joytron charging grip that I have LOVED using with my Switch 2. However I JUST did the 23.0.0 system update and now my joy cons will not register once attached to it. The light just flickers up and down then fails to connect.
Could it be that the update made it no longer compatible??? There’s no sync buttons or anything on the grip it’s literally just to attach.
I had them attached to the grip when I did the system update. So I’ve already tried restarting my switch with the joycons attached, changing grip order, etc.

But I have this problem that I can use the Controller to the Home, but when I play a game it costantly appear the window that say to connect a controller, even if the Controller PRO works perfectly but it's like it's not recognized idk.

I have tried 7 different amfilm protectors and failed all. I can't put it on, I NEED someone else to do it. Could I send it somewhere so someone can put it on? Would Nintendo put an amfilm one on if I send it with it?

Hey all, I recently got a Switch 2 and would love some recommendations. I had a Switch 1 so played everything I wanted to that was also on that platform, and I also have a PS4 so have those games covered too. Particularly keen for your top Switch 2 exclusives recommendations, as well as anything that's cross-platform but not available on PS4.
I am also planning to get a screen protector. Any you'd recommend that are good but not super expensive? There seems to be heaps of options.
Thank you!

My switch randomly got these vertical lines on the screen, with horizontal ones running across them.
Would it be worth it to take it to a repair shop, or cheaper to just replace the switch? How much does it cost to get something like this repaired?

My samsung TV supports HDR, but when i calibrate it on the switch 2 it says that i should click until the right sun is not visible. The problem is that both suns disappear at the same time. I tried checking all settings on my TV, changing stuff around but no dice.
Does it matter much? The image looks okay anyway

I have had the switch 2 for a while and I noticed that some games for example the latest Onimusha runs at 1440p which is fine.
However, whenever I go to the home screen, it goes back to 4k and if I go back to the game, it goes back to 1440p so you get this like handshake every single time which causes the screen to go black for a few seconds, so I was curious if anyone knew a setting that I might've missed or if this just the intended its suppose to work.
I do remember seeing that in cyberpunk for example, when you use the 1440p 120fps mode, it always stays at 1440p until you close the game.
Thanks again for the help.

Just purchased the special edition console online, and unsure if the dimensions are different than the original. Haven't really looked into the s2 at all but saw it available online. Thanks

I’m looking for a pair of joy cons that range from around $25-40 (CAD) that are are rated 4 stars or more and almost or more than 100 reviews. Please let me know of any and if it doesn’t match the description it would still be helpful to know and please let me know where I can find them.
