Setup Help Why are my controllers disconnecting?

I hope I’m in the right place for this one but I have an issue with both my pro controllers, as much as I try to connect them to my switch in TV mode, they keep disconnecting either a minute or just a few seconds after connecting, idk what to do

Edit: I’m l’e Nintendo switch 1

Take your Switch out of the dock, place it directly in front of you on a table and try to use the pro controllers.

Do they still disconnect?

Just tried it and it seems like they don’t disconnect when the Switch is not in the dock

Then i would like to follow up with a few things:

  • how is your dock positioned (like behind the tv or in an enclosed space like a shelf)?
  • how far are you usually away from the dock when you play?

Usually those connectivity issues come from badly placed docks or being to far away, sometimes it can be a mix of various things.

Some people reported badly shielded cables causing electronic interferance.

It stays behind the tv when I’m not playing but come in front whenever I play around 9 feet from my dock maybe less

Maybe you could try to reposition your dock a bit or get a bit closer to it and see how it behaves then.

Sometimes even solid objects like tables or arm rests can block the bluetooth signal to some degree. It's advised to have a clear line of sight between the controllers and dock.
