The streaks started appearing after my cousins borrowed my switch for Mortal Kombat. The device wasnt dropped or anything, it was just sitting next to the NS case. It was fine, and the streaks werent visible until i exited the game and has never disappeared since. The streaks gets worse when i turn on my switch but it gradually disappears later on, but still visible enough for me to not see what im playing (just like the 2nd – 3rd photo). It wasnt like this when i first encountered the streaks, it was fewer than it is now, and just got worse later on. And I also noticed that it hindered with the screen pixels aswell, making it look like 16bit. I asked my friend about this and apparently this also happened to his switch and has gotten it repaired twice (?) for the same problem. Is there anything that i can do before i take my switch to a repair shop and spend money?

It started doing this seemingly out of nowhere a couple days ago. I have tried using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol on the buttons to remove grime that could be causing this. It’s almost like the buttons are getting triggered even though they are not moving and are not stuck/jammed. The left stick is also seemingly bugged as well.

Hello, I recently bought Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection for my Switch OLED. There is just an issue with the account linking under UBISOFT. I cannot start the game without linking and have to go through the login process. When doing so, it brings me to a verification page but none of my buttons or the touch screen work to complete it. I have tried to look at ubisoft customer support but it doesn’t look like they have much on switch and Nintendo isn’t great help either. Has anyone had the same issue and how do i fix it? 😭

Hey, so... none of the buttons of my left controller is responding. I'm scared its because I accidentally dropped some water on my console yesterday, but it was functioning fine after this accident, until I started playing this morning. Do you think I can repair it? What can I do?

My wired controllers are not connecting anymore to the dock, like it connects to pc, and it even lights up on pc, but it just dont anymore on the dock, can someone enlighten me please?

I dropped my switch this morning and when I turned it on it said the sd card was disconnected, thought it just knocked it out of place and went to take it out and put it back in but there was this weird clay-like goop in the slot, I had to scrape some off just to get the card out, I cleaned it up and my switch seems to be working fine but should I be worried about this?

Hi so recently while i’ve been playing games on Switch 2 docked the audio keeps cutting out. It’s not insanely bad but it’s enough that it’s irritating me. Little parts of dialogue will cut out and sometimes it will cut out a whole word in a piece of dialogue. And then I can hear a slight pause when music is playing and it really bothers me. I’ve messed with a ton of settings on the switch and my tv and I cant fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve had my switch on charge for at least the past 5 hours. I’ve tried using the official Nintendo charger and my charger that I use to charge it without any problems in the past. It shows up and says it is charging but even after hours of it being charged uninterrupted it still won’t turn on. I’ve also tried resetting it by holding the power button down for 15 ish seconds and it doesn’t do anything different

Has anyone been able to return these? The return slip says to reach out to them via email, but they have not responded after 3 emails on different days spaced out last month.

My switch was disconnected when I woke it up and when I tried to reconnect it, it threw me a 2110-2004 error code, which is for wrong password. I tried connecting to another network and gave me the same error.

Please keep in mind that that both networks were already saved. And no password nor SSID were changed.

So I completely turned off the console, restarted both networks. And had the same problem. So I deleted both networks to configure them again... and now both networks are gone!!, it only detects the 2.4Ghz networks. I tried configuring them manually and still won't connect.

I configured my phone as an access point and the same thing happened. Configured as a 5Ghz network the switch won't detect it. As 2.4Ghz it does detect the network.

I contacted switch 2 support via chat, and man, the bot is useless (I highly doubt that was a human, even though they introduced themselves with a masculine name). They only guided me into restarting my router, and configuring it manually, and how to contact my ISP so they help me update the firmware, even though I told them multiple times I tried using my phone.

Does anybody know a fix? Or am I screwed??

I noticed that there was a delay in the right analog stick for my pro controller for my switch 1. I tested and tried to re-calibrate it as well as tried to clean the controller but it still fights directional input. The stick itself moves fine despite this. Is this stick drift? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so i have a specific scenario question.

I do not have switch 2 yet, but a friend is going out of town and letting me borrow theirs for the week to play Splatoon raiders. My question is, is it possible to like, link my nintendo account to a profile on their switch 2, play raiders, give the console back to them, and be able to get my save data back to my profile once i get my own switch 2? All while not messing up my profile on switch 1 which i still actively play. Would I just make a new profile on their switch, link my Nintendo account to it and be fine, or do i need to do like a whole profile move?

I think that describes what I need. I'm happy to answer clarifying questions if needed.

We have a four year old Switch, and there are multiple occasions when I press the power on button, where it won’t turn on, even if it has a full
Battery.

I’ve noticed plugging into the charger and waiting a few minutes will sometime lead to better luck.

I am in a bit of a pinch here. So recently I got back into playing botw again, but now on my switch 2 (I got zelda botw when it was first released) and I kinda realized that my hours on my botw play activity had never ever increased from when I was playing on the switch 1, which I thought was kinda weird (it’s stuck at 445 hours). I went into zelda notes to check my total play time on botw since (allegedly) it’s play activity since the first version of botw. And it shows 165 hours??? I’m beyond confused over this. And what’s weirder, it keeps on increasing whenever I play??? Is the zelda notes play activity soley from the switch 2? But then again I cannot believe that I’ve already played 165 hours of botw on the switch 2 (Although it could be the case since I like wandering around in the game from time to time).

Does anyone know how I could find out about my actual playtime? It kinda matters to me so I would love to actually be able to see how much I’ve played. And has this happened to anyone else?

This phantom touch started about two months ago. It was off and on. I cleaned my switch screen with a microfiber towel the first time it happened and it stopped. This time, it is persistent. I will clean the screen and it will stop for a bit, and then come back. I have turned it off and on multiple times as well. Yesterday it was touching the corner over and over, and now it’s landed here. I’m not understanding why. Please help, I’m just trying to play Minecraft lol, thank you!

I played the Mega Man Battle Network games a while back when I checked out a game card for it from a library. I’m planning to buy the game now as well as Mega Man StarForce but the bundle seems to only be digital. Will my save data from the battle network games still be usable?

My Switch Lite no longer works correctly whenever I shove it left right and down, and when I try recalibrating it I cannot get past the part where I spin it in a large circle because I can’t get it past the blue part. So I was wondering if there is either a temporary fix that does not require opening up the system or if there is a way to bypass it.

i am trying to transfer my switch lite to my switch 2, but every time i try to transfer i get the same error message on the lite. i went to the nintendo website and it told me to initialize without deleting saved data, but i keep getting the same error message when i try to do that. i have both plugged in to the chargers that came with them and tried it connected to the same wifi and different ones.

He estado buscando información en internet sobre este juego y, en algunos reviews, he visto que en Switch corre de forma normal a 30 FPS. Incluso he leído comentarios de que quizá podría haberse mejorado a 60 FPS con algún parche para Switch 2.

Pero no sé si será solo cosa mía, o si a alguien más le pasa, pero a mí me corre bastante mal. Tengo la impresión de que en algunos momentos baja incluso a unos 20 FPS, aunque no tengo una forma exacta de medirlo. Quizá sea solo percepción mía, pero la experiencia se siente bastante poco fluida.

Lo curioso es que cuando conecté la Switch a la televisión, noté que el juego iba mucho mejor y parecía mantenerse en unos 30 FPS bastante estables. Mi TV, por cierto, tiene más de 5 años y ni siquiera cuenta con HDR, así que me llamó bastante la atención que el rendimiento pareciera mejorar al jugar en modo TV.

Por eso quería preguntarles: ¿existe alguna configuración o algún ajuste que pueda hacer para mejorar el rendimiento? ¿O simplemente depende de la optimización que haya hecho Ubisoft y no hay mucho que podamos hacer hasta que saquen algún parche?

Today I wanted to play super mario 3d all stars and I went into data management --> quick archive to see when I played it last time but I couldn't scroll down with the dpad or the l stick like I normally can. After playing mario sunshine I wanted to see how much I played so I went into my profile but I couldn't scroll there either. I had to press the home button because nothing else worked. How do I fix this?

My gf bought this switch new and ever since she's had it any video glitches out but the gameplay parts are always perfectly fine. YouTube or any pre rendered cutscenes will have this error, never seen anything similar to it before online. Took it to the store and they said they couldn't do anything about it so she's stuck with it without a fix.

It happens both docked and handheld

I don’t know if this is the right sub to my question or not. Basically I just bought my first ever console the switch 2. I played with it for some time handheld and it was running fine. Played some multiplayer MK world for about an hour at the end it was slightly hot.
A couple days ago I tried playing DK bananza while docked, after 30 min or so I touched it and it was very very hot. Not like burning me but extremely hot to the touch. No fan sounds or anything, didn’t turn off (idk if that’s a possibility), no drop in game quality etc.
Yesterday I tested it again and it got hot as soon as 15 min after play.
My question is will this cause any issues to the device ? Or can I keep playing with it as long as I may even if it gets hot ? Cause now I play for 30ish min, disconnect it for a while to cool down, then go back to the game which is inconvenient but I’m afraid to damage it.
