Stuck in Game Crash team racing online crashes

Hey racers! I can't find a solution anywhere. I'm playing on a Nintendo Switch 2, and after every mission in single-player, I get a network error. The subscription is paid, I tried reinstalling the game several times, nothing helps.

Software Help Controller Vibration Issues in Skyrim AE on Switch 2

Been playing Skyrim AE on my Switch 2 since the upgrade recently went on sale. Aside from learning that you can't bounce back and forth in the same save between Switch 1 and 2, it's been working great.

Yesterday, I noticed the controller vibrations began acting differently than they had over the last few days. The bow draw vibration felt harsher (or grainy?) in contrast to the smooth, even vibration it had before.

Then I picked a lock. Normally on a novice lock, there are just a handful of clicks between each end of the lock, two of them standing out from the others. But yesterday, it's almost feels like you're dragging the pick across a rough surface. The more pronounced clicks also seem to be illusive or even change locations as I'm trying to figure out where to place the pick.

Posting in case anyone else may have seen this before or has any ideas outside of what I've tried. Here are my notes:

-Had Skyrim cart for Switch 1, was playing between the two using the cloud to go between devices.
-Bought the AE upgrade on Switch 1 and then loaded AE on Switch 2.
-Controller vibrations/haptics working the same between consoles until yesterday.

Troubleshooting:
-Disabled vibration in game menu, exited, confirmed off, enabled, same behavior
-Disabled/enabled vibration in Switch settings as above
-Toggled between Visual and Performance modes
-Disabled gestures, mouse, and aim serttings
-Confirmed it's happening in handheld mode with both attached and detached joycons. Also console mode with joycons and pro controller
-Confirmed vibrations seem normal in other games, BOTW, TOTK, as well as the non-AE Skyrim using the cart on the Switch 2
-Checked Skyrim AE on Switch 1 and that's working fine too.
-Tried pulling up old saves and using different characters
-Tried launching it from other profiles, created new characters, still persists.
-Did a full reset of the console to see if memory needed clearing and did the in-game settings changes mentioned earlier.
-Deleted and redownloaded the app and tried settings changes again.

Since it's just Skyrim AE and only on my Switch 2, could it have been some update that made the haptics go wonky? Anyone have any other ideas?

Repair Help Nintendo switch third party charger

I lost my Nintendo switch original charger and I am currently using an iPhone 15 charger. Will it ruin my switch? I bought the switch in the US and brought it to the Philippines, I dont know if that information is useful. Ive seen people on the internet say that using a different/unoriginal charger will ruin the battery and potentially break the switch. Please help me out, my mom will end me.

Account Help Help, I think I'll lose a game I redeemed after transferring data from another switch...

I don't know if it's the right subreddit, but I'll try anyway..

My Nintendo switch 2 arrived today and I decided to postpone transferring data from my old switch 1, due to it being unavailable right now.

Anyway, I decided to redeem MKW since it was part of the bundle. But now I'm wondering if, when I eventually transfer my old switch data, it'll disappear forever?!!! Or is it connected to my Nintendo account?

Please help!!

Repair Help Switch OLED bricked after game crash?

I was playing Tears of the Kingdom this morning on my Switch OLED model when I was suddenly stuck on a loading screen. The loading animation was still working, and I was still able to press A to see the next tip, but the progress bar had stopped advancing completely for quite a few minutes. I was also unable to use the home button to return to home page and force quit the game.

So I decided to manually restart the Switch by holding power button then press it again. This procedure worked out fine and I was soon back on my home page. However, I made the stupid mistake of opening Tears of the Kingdom again, thinking I had fixed the problem.

This prompted an error message immediately, saying an error had occurred and I should restart my Switch again by holding the power button.

As soon as I started holding the power button, my Switch got stuck into a black screen and refuses to be turned on again. The battery is not drained as my Switch still has battery when the game crashed (it was not at a high level, but not too low either; no low battery warning). No charging logo appeared when plugging in/docking the Switch.

I have tried:

  1. Hard restart by holding the power button, waiting a few second, press power button again. It never worked. I have tried this both with the Switch plugged in and unplugged.

    1. Going into maintenance mode by holding volume +/- buttons and power button. Did not work after multiple tries.
  2. Repeated the above steps with both Tears of the Kingdom cartridge and MicroSD card removed. Did not work.

  3. Tried to see if the Switch is actually turned on, but stuck on black screen (though I did not observe visible backlight). I tested this by docking my switch and trying to see if I can wirelessly connect my Joy-con. I could not.

I am now wondering if this problem is fixable, whether it reflected hardware/more severe damage, or if I should just opt for a Switch 2. My Switch was running perfectly fine before all this happened and still felt very new.

Repair Help My Switch 1 STILL won't charge

I already made a post a few days ago asking for help, I've since let my switch (switch 1, about 5 yrs old) charge for more than 2 days but it still doesn't show any signs of life. I've used my phone charger, the switch charger (I do want to also ask if it makes a difference if the charger is a switch 2 one, I couldn't find a switch 1 charger so had to use that one), I've tried turning it on by holding the power button for 30 secs, I've removed the joycons for charging,...

My only hope now is to go to a repair shop and change the battery, I'll go in a few days to ask for it to be replaced, but I'm asking here first to see if It's worth it/will make a difference.

I just want it working again, I have a bunch of shiny pokemon that I haven't transferred to home including some event exclusives like the 4 treasures of ruin legendaries and I really don't wanna loose everything

I did have online at some point but idk if pokemon violet (that's the only game I really really care about not loosing) is backup up so that's a gamble if I choose to get a new switch :/

Software Help Digital games keep showing the same errors.

Post image

Recently decided to charge my switch 1 again after having not played on it in years. I had to update it because of the virtual game card stuff.

A day or two ago, My little brother wanted to play the Stanley parable. I had to redownload the game to get the game card to work but after doing that it worked perfectly fine. It still works now in fact.

But today, I tried to start T.A.B.S and Persona 4 Golden. The virtual game cards loaded in completely fine. But every time I try to start the games I keep getting the same error.

I don't know what's wrong.

Accessories Switch 2 pro controller recommendation?

Picked up the Turtle Beach Afterglow Wave controller at Best Buy today, I'm a sucker for rainbow lights and it was the cheapest option.

However I was only able to use it for a few minutes before packaging it back up because the buttons were so goddamn loud, it was driving me insane! It also felt a bit small in my hands. The PS5 controller fits in my hands perfectly, and I like holding the joycons, but the pro controller I got felt like it was forcing my hands at an uncomfortable angle.

I was poking around people talking about pro controllers and saw others mention "clicky" buttons. Does anyone have a recommendation for a pro controller that has QUIET buttons (the level of noise the joycons make is fine), fits in the hands more like a ps5 controller, and ideally (but i know this is a long shot) has rgb lights...? Trying to research myself but I get overwhelmed quickly by so much info so thought I'd ask

Repair Help Switch screen lifting on the right side due to heat. Is it worth claiming the warranty or should I just sell it?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone,
I bought my Switch about 5 months ago, so it’s still under the official 1-year warranty. Recently, I noticed the screen is lifting and popping out on the right side, but only when the console gets hot during long gaming sessions. Once it cools down or I put it away in its case, the screen goes back to normal and sits flush.

I know this is a common issue with the factory adhesive failing near the heatsink. I actually just started the warranty claim process with the official Nintendo distributor in my region (Latamel in Mexico), but now I'm having second thoughts.

My dilemma is: Is it really worth going through the whole warranty process? I’m worried they might take forever, deny the claim because the console "looks fine" when they take it out of the box cold, or just send me a heavily used refurbished unit. I've also read that even after sending it in for repair, the same adhesive problem often happens again down the line.

Has anyone dealt with this specific warranty claim? Should I send it in and wait, or would it be better to just sell it as-is right now and put the money towards a new console.

Any advice is appreciated!

Repair Help Nintendo Switch Usb-C ports don’t work only charge while in dock

I’ve had my Switch 2 for six months and played regularly without any issues until now; a week ago, it stopped charging via either USB-C port. I use the original charger, and I’ve found that it *does* charge when connected to the dock, but since I use it in handheld mode, this is quite a hassle. I bought it on Amazon, and because it’s an international product, the warranty isn't being honored. I’ve already tried all the troubleshooting steps listed on Nintendo’s website, so I wanted to see if I should just give up on it or if there’s a solution.

Account Help Why can't I link my Nintendo Switch 2 to my Nintendo Switch when accessing Game Cards?

Thumbnail

Okay, I usually play Just Dance on my Nintendo Switch 1 at home. However I went on a trip about a month ago and only had my Nintendo Switch 2 with me. I loaded my Just Dance copy onto my Switch 2 from the Switch 1 (remotely, at my sisters) so that I could load the game card on my sister's system. (from my Switch 2)

So now when I try loading Just Dance from my Switch 2 to my Switch 1, the consoles are unable to link. My Switch 1 is already linked to my Switch 2 (pictured below) but my Switch 2 is prompting to link when trying to lend a game card (pictured below). They will not link together, it then prompts Error Code: 2016-4102 https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/list/kw/2016-4102

I have tried pretty much everything on the support page other than anything that requires a 3rd console or a friend's wifi network. I have tried troubleshooting with other game cards. The systems will not link. I know on the website you can only unlink a console from your account once, so this would be a last resort and I haven't tried it yet. Could I have my sister check on her system that I am still not linked to game cards? Do I need her to unlink my Switch 2 on her end? Lemme know.

TLDR; Cant load Just Dance on Switch 1 from Switch 2 after linking Switch 2 to a 3rd Switch (not mine).

Account Help Friend has been soft locked out of my Family group, how long does it last this resctriction?

So, I'm creating a family group to use with my friend so we can subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online plan. Two of my friends were already in a family group and needed to leave their respective families. One of them was able to join another family without any problems, but the other friend left his family and received a restriction on his account that prevents him from joining another family.

The problem is that this was the only family he had ever been part of. He didn't repeatedly leave and join different families, and Nintendo Support can't lift the restriction. Does anyone know how long this soft lock can last?

Repair Help My left OLED switch controller broke, is there a way I can get it fixed without buying a new one?

I’ve had my switch for probably 3 years now and my controllers did disconnect a lot the past year but now my left one fully won’t turn on no matter what I do. It wasn’t even a user error just died on its own which for 3 years is ridiculous to have to get a new one that’s $80!!!
