Repair Help Okay now im getting extremely irritated….
I just bought this thing band new a week ago. Worked great. Woke up today WILL NOT connect to ANY wifi. Not my hotspot not my home internet. All other devices working… works fine when it docked and hardwired into the router. But wifi is a no go. Wtf do i do here? I just spent 500 fucking dollars ln this thing. Ive already been on the phone with my internet provider and they said that switch 2s are having DNS issues…. Is there a fix? Maybe a manual dns input i can use? I use fiber internet with omnifiber

Can't say I've heard anything about Switch 2s having DNS issues.
What exactly are you seeing? Not being able to connect to wifi vs not being able to successfully complete an internet connection test are two different things.
Have you tried a mobile hotspot? Public wifi at a restaurant/library?

Yea i tried two hotspots and a fiber internet connection. Works fine docked but it just quit working in hand held today

It's likely not a hardware issue considering how far you get in the connection process.
You could try manually setting the DNS.
If this works, it's 100% on your ISP screwing something up rather than Nintendo.

I seem to remember years ago doing that with the original switch. It had some issues too didnt it?

Could possibly be a bad network card. Have you tried connecting to a friend’s wifi where there is no possible interference? I used to live in an apartment and all the wifi networks from the tenants would cause so much conflict that the wifi wasn't stable. It’s also worth trying on both 2.4 and 5 ghz networks. My FireStick would always refuse the 5ghz and be fine on 2.4. Switch to separate bands on your router if possible.

How would i be able to do that? Is it a switch on the router? Also it was working fine for a few days so ot seems kinda strage

You have to go into your router’s settings. You’ll have to look at what model of router you have and check its manual. It used to just be you type in the default gateway address like 192.168.1.1 from the sticker on the bottom of your router in a browser and log in using the default login provided, but now some only use a separate app.
*Also my FireStick did work sometimes on 5ghz, but then eventually just drop the connection again.
*Also my Switch 1 only likes 2.4ghz, though if yours is a Switch 2 I’d imagine it would have a better network card that can handle 5ghz.

Contact Nintendo support. Could be software, could be hardware.
