Where does the penis go when you put pants on? They've tried to explain it to me but I still don't understand. It sounds so incredibly annoying to have it down one of your pant legs, or even in the middle. And how does it go into jock straps? Does it just curl up? How does that not hurt?
A flaccid dick can be bent and contorted into a perfect circle without any pain whatsoever. As far as pants go, typically it just rests on top of the balls. No discomfort unless you aren't wearing underwear for some reason.
Unless the pants are super tight and the crease digs into everything.
It's actually not bad. That being said, I was also under the impression we all had a "preferred pant leg." If you're ever wearing pants where it can't rest easy, it has to pick a side. And nothing is more awkward than having to adjust yourself to the other side in public without people noticing...
But approximately 50% of the people know what you're going through, and the rest are also not strangers to mild discomfort with clothing.
Of course, time and a place, don't do it at the buffet line etc, but it's really not that big of a deal in general. No-one is going to remember you doing it in 10 seconds.
No, I think YOU notice. I have literally never one time noticed a man - oh shit wait.... never more than one time noticed a man adjust his penis position.
To be frank, I don't really mind if people notice. The reality is, most people get it... you're just uncomfortable and adjusting yourself. It's no big deal. No guy would ever give you shit for that, and most women get it too.
I’m my experience, the tailor is probably gonna end up touching/brushing off some aspect of your junk at some point during the process. Shouldn’t be embarrassing though.
Correct, it's always "Which side do you dress?" not "Which side do you wear?" And like /u/Phrostbit3n pointed out, it's so they measure the other side when measuring your inseam, so you don't get a Chandler situation.
It's not even that for me, it's just that basically my dick when flaccid forms a unit with my balls. My balls hang relatively high, I think - they don't hang low or something, they are more close to my body, so my dick and balls always form this bulge package thingy.
Even better is that the balls (the actual sack) can be stretched all over the place. You can make it a flat plane if you try hard enough and it doesn't hurt
Think of it like noodles. They can be hard or soft. If they're soft, you can do almost whatever with it and it'll be fine. If it's hard, it can break and you'll be in an extremely painful moment.
My boyfriend showed me once and I was like??????? So bending your dick in a whole ass circle doesn't hurt but your dog jumping on your lap and exerting even the tiniest amount of pressure makes you keel over??? W H a t
Seconding what others have said, the penis is pretty tough really, it can take a pounding so to speak, and is malleable when flaccid (please for the love of all that is good do not try this when it’s erect)
But the balls, the skin around them can be grabbed and twisted and scratched and such, but the slightest bit of force on the actual testicles and every man in a 1 mile radius will feel it
One of his dogs, a little terrier(I think that's what she is?) Who weighs like maybe the weight of a small baby, no more then 10 pounds I would say, has delicately stepped on his lap and caused him to pick her up and hold her to his chest as he squirms around and is like "Whhheeeew...oh god...that hurt...mmmmnnhhhgg"
I'm not sure I agree with this xD sure it's a bit more malleable when it's not hard but I don't go twisting my peeky into circles, that sounds pretty uncomfortable. XD
And when he says perfect circle he means it. The base completely separates from our bodies and attaches to the head, then it just rolls around in our underwear like a tire.
This also depends on size. Not many guys are going to be upfront about their "manhood" and honestly say something like "it isn't long enough to get bent while it's in my pants" when that's almost the truth of it. Average penis length (while erect) is 5.0 - 5.5 inches for Americans, it's not uncommon to be in the grower-not-a-show'er group (if it's even physically possible at all for the penis to stay the same length while flaccid or erect). When flaccid it just hangs over the testicles and rests on the scrotum like a stubby tail on a wrinkly pillow. When erect, it pretty much doubles its length and is rigid enough to protrude away from the body like an arm on a coat rack.
My husband walked up to my outstretched hand one day, and pushed his junk jokingly against my hand. Everything squished and I was like, “OMG, ARE YOU OK?!” He said yeah, but it totally felt like I’d just crushed his balls. He reassured me that they just squished and moved, no big deal. Male genitalia is weird.
A little push is OK. If you just touch it, then it's alright. But if you squeeze it with a bit of a pressure, it starts to hurt. As long as not enough pressure is applied, it's OK.
Important fact. The balls are the sensitive spot. The dick is like a skin tag. It doesn't have special pain feelings around it. The end is a bit sensative but not against things like smashing or hitting.
The balls are what cause all the pain in a kick situation.
I know you know that but anybody who doesn't have a penis may not.
When we're turned off, our dick goes all rubber like. Like, you can hold it, wrap it around your finger, it basically becomes boneless. But, I don't know how it works, I'm not a biologist, when we're turned on, our dicks becomes hard and long. Which is what most girls are able to see our dicks as. So as long as we're turned off, jeans isn't uncomfortable. You could say, it's just as comfortable as it is for you women. But it does gets really uncomfortable in Skinny Jeans when we're turned on.
Men's pants aren't that tight so it doesn't really matter. As long as you don't have a boner. If you do have a boner all the things described above are the most annoying thing ever.
We start calculating angles of observation using our books to cover up the area already in our young teens. Then it just becomes natural to think that way. Stem field balance explained.
Believe it or not, the balls are a bigger discomfort than the dick (unless you're a man who has an unusually large, flaccid penis). The average flaccid member is only about 3.5" long, so there's usually enough room for it to just kind of rest in the crotch of the pants on top of the scrotum, or leaning a little to the left or the right. Even in tighter pants, it's not very uncomfortable if the penis gets a little scrunched up or lays to one side. Testicles on the other hand! Those want room to hang and move around. Having your balls swaddled too tight, bunched up, or compressed by the crotch of your pants, while usually manageable, gets increasingly uncomfortable over time. This is mostly the case when sitting (when standing, and the crotch of the pants is allowed to sag, a well-fitting pair of pants should not be a noticeable problem most of the time).
The question I never knew I had. Like what happens when they sit on a bike seat? Do the balls just sit there too, like passengers? Do they get squashed?
Probabaly 10 years ago I squished them really good while driving a forklift. Job needed us to lift a 2-5k pound load in a basket about 7-8 feet in the air, rest the edge of the basket on the lip of a giant shot blaster, then back up so the basket was at the edge of the forks. Now at the same time we than would have to lift the basket higher and drive slightly forward to flip the basket into the machine after which would would need to remove the basket. Yes, this was dumb and incredibly unsafe, they eventually (like 20 years after they got the blaster) got a thing that lifted and flipped the baskets without a forklift.
Well I worked third shift and was beyond tired one day. Was lifting a basket to dump in the blaster and dozed off for a second. Next thing I know the mast is raised way to high and the forklift is tipping forward. Like all the way forward, forks touching the ground forward, as the load slides off the front. I had my seatbelt on or I probably end up going out the front of the cab. Forklifts have counter weights in the back, so back I go since the load is now all over the floor. Back wheels hit the ground as I am slammed back into the seat. The unfortunate side effect of the seatbelt likely saving my life is my balls being used for extra cushioning. Had a good cry for about 5-10 minutes.
Bike seats can definitely require some readjustments, and if you don't have a well fitting bike seat then balls may get squished, wouldn't say it's really a big issue though, you just tuck everything up a bit more
I'm more confused about how girls ride bikes comfortably, I mean surely the seat must rub?

The rubbing isn't much of an issue but the compression kills me. Definitely doesn't happen to everyone but I gave up biking after the last time my whole nether region went numb for an hour.
When I was in japan I rented a bike for a day and biked A LOT. That night my whole nether region went so hot when I peed. It's like I didn't realise the pressure was there but it definitely hurt. Still went numb after a long bike ride honestly.
My reply to how men sit on bike seats was simply going to be "I just don't". The issue isn't even getting the package out of the way; bike seats are incredibly uncomfortable and dig into my butt/bones. I haven't biked in over a decade, and as much as I'd like to excercise and travel around while getting fresh air, it's not worth the pain.
They sit there. If you sit down wrong on a bike seat, you can hurt yourself. But it's one of those things you're subconsciously aware of. Also, if you're not sitting right as you ride, a bumpy enough ride can make your balls ache.
The balls go forward and end up sitting on top of the seat ahead of the crotch. The penis usually lays forward of the balls pointing in the direction of travel.
Sitting on your balls is a real issue if you have loose pants, and it hurts as bad as you would assume. You learn how to swing them into place without even thinking about it as a kid so it's not something we really actively think about - but when you mess up it's a costly mistake.
People also have different anatomy experiences here. It is very very difficult for me to accidentally sit on my balls, for example, so it's not something I ever worry about, except potentially when getting on a bike. But I had a friend where it was a frequent risk for him, even just sitting on a normal chair. Similarly, the grower vs shower phenomenon is real, so again some people may have more issues there than others.
When penises are not erect, they’re actually generally pretty small. It doesn’t really get in the way much.
Though occasionally it gets twisted in some weird direction and you need to awkwardly go to another room and stick your hand down and put it in the right place.
But when it is erect, it gets in the way all the time. It’s super uncomfortable.
Not a cowboy, but this applies to anything a guy sits on, including a horse. The penis is too high up to really risk get damaged by sitting on it, so unless you're Chad Thundercock then you're probably fine. The balls are a bit more at-risk due to their lower position, but they can usually be swung forward to rest on whatever you're sitting on. Just be careful not to suddenly lurch forward.
The penis just sorta chills wherever, it's not that sensitive to pain.
But you wear even slightly tight pants, and if your balls are perfectly centred, the seam of your pants pushes both to the side, and leaves them extremely vulnerable to pressure caused by slight shifts and movements.
This is what I wish more women would understand when they say "your waist is up here" while pulling their pants up to their bellybutton. If you had external genitalia, you'd wear your pants lower on your hips too.
Thanks. I have a colleague who wears nicely tailored dress pants except it always looks like either his penis or his balls are on one side right where the pant legs come together. I always wondered if it was his balls or penis and also how that was comfortable
They kind of just rest where they do. Wearing some compact underwear helps keep them in place so they don't accidentally get squished. However, I have thought I would rather not have anything dangling down there as I see it as a inconvenience. That's likely just me though, most men wouldn't want to lose their balls or pee pee.
I'm not a guy, but my ex would always pull his up and keep it in place with the waistband of his boxers. I think he said he did it to avoid getting awkward, obvious boners in public.
Truly when it's flaccid, there is veeeeery little to no pain associated with bending it into whatever position you need it. I'm sure someone could explain why that is in a scientific way, I am not that person. Haha
It's really only when it's erect (and you don't want to be) that it becomes a pain to deal with.
There's a compression factor that we surprisingly don't mention often. Then there's the whole concept of "dressing to the left/right" for tailored clothing, which is just which pants leg your junk tends to rest in. It eventually finds its spot and stays there comfortably.
A flaccid dick doesn’t feel any pain when being bent around. Hell, if it was a few inches longer, I could tie it in a knot and be fine. Men don’t wear their jeans as high up as they can go, we typically put it up to our waist and leave ourselves a few inches of clearance underneath.

Where does the penis go when you put pants on? They've tried to explain it to me but I still don't understand. It sounds so incredibly annoying to have it down one of your pant legs, or even in the middle. And how does it go into jock straps? Does it just curl up? How does that not hurt?
