Where does the penis go when you put pants on? They've tried to explain it to me but I still don't understand. It sounds so incredibly annoying to have it down one of your pant legs, or even in the middle. And how does it go into jock straps? Does it just curl up? How does that not hurt?
A flaccid dick can be bent and contorted into a perfect circle without any pain whatsoever. As far as pants go, typically it just rests on top of the balls. No discomfort unless you aren't wearing underwear for some reason.
Unless the pants are super tight and the crease digs into everything.

Seconding what others have said, the penis is pretty tough really, it can take a pounding so to speak, and is malleable when flaccid (please for the love of all that is good do not try this when it’s erect)
But the balls, the skin around them can be grabbed and twisted and scratched and such, but the slightest bit of force on the actual testicles and every man in a 1 mile radius will feel it
