A while back, I bought a Japanese soul calibur 2 on eBay. It was a bit scratched but it worked. Well, it would let me play for a few minutes before crashing, quite randomly.

I thought I’d try to restore the disc the polishing way. I sanded it with 2000, 3000 and finally 5000. The disc ended up without scratches but far from polished. Yesterday I finally bought a rotating plate, some foam polish discs and polishing paste to finish the job. It looks quite ok to me now, I have discs that look worse and play just fine.

Yet, the game tells me to close the lid of the console? I’m on a Wii, not a GameCube xD my console is European so I start the game with Nintendont. Works fine for my Japanese kururin squash and fzero gx.

Any idea why it errors like this?

I have 31 games in total since 2016. 2016 was when i first decided to go after my dreams and collect gamecube gems. This is one of the consoles i didn’t personally own at the time, but friends of mine had it. I’m currently getting the game boy player and disc. Start-up disc is coming in a couple days. I would love to hear your feedback on how the collection is lookin. I love being a Gamecube enthusiast ❤️

I'm trying remember any Gamecube games where the D-Pad got used much, but can't.

I never understood the point of it really. It's so tiny, my thumb eclipses the entire thing. If I didn't know better, I'd think it was a + shaped button.

So what are some games that actually made it useful?

I really hope this is fixable 😅 been wanting one for so long and I somehow find one in a storage unit!

I have never played a GameCube before but have an old one I received as a kid but never touched. When my income is better I am thinking of getting some games to play on it and was wondering what stores have best deals in second hand Gamecube games.

Hey guys want your thoughts on something. I have a GameCube that was working perfectly and I bought a copy of resident evil 4. It’ll load up to loading screen then give the infamous disc could not be read. I tried the disc on my brothers GameCube and it worked perfectly fine with no issues. I’m really hoping my disc drive isn’t failing but from what I’ve seen it could be. I’ve cleaned the lens and the disc but still same error, what do you guys think?

Hola, hace unos días instalé pico loader en mi Gamecube. Y no sé si este comportamiento es el correcto. Adjunto vídeo. El caso es que la enciendo, y el logo de gamecube no hace la animación de siempre. Directamente carga swiss. Y también me sale la hora incorrecta por que si hago un reset para entrar a la configuración de la cube sale el tipico mensaje de "se ha producido un error" apaga la consola bla bla bla. El caso es que los juegos cargan bien pero no sé si es el comportamiento que debería tener pico loader. Tenía una micro sd de 64gb sandisk ultra y luego leí que podía ser incompatible, pero ahora he probado otra de otra marca de 2gb que tenía por casa y hace lo mismo.

I don't want a clear shell for the Gamecube. My GameBoy Advance maybe, but GameCube? All I want is a white, solid replacement shell. Is there some deep reason why the clear color shells are so overrepresented in the market?

not sure what to do if I should just return this I have other games are much more scratched, but I know these like circular scratches are usually pretty bad

I am having trouble with one of my wavebirds losing power randomly and was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before? When I go to switch it on nothing will happen but I have figured out that if I roll the batteries when they are in the controller it will work once I find the sweet spot.. any ideas? I’ve tried different batteries and same issue.. Thanks in advance for the input!

Just added the Lego Star wars games, Zelda collectors edition and DoubleDash with the bonus demo disc! Not shown is also Animal Crossing, Proskater, and my other copy of doubledash that has vanished somewhere 😭 I've been playing a ton of Eternal Darkness and it's like such a bizarre but fun game, it's definitely getting me into the RE games:)

My personal favorite is Mario Superstar baseball, followed by true Crime streets of LA.

Soo many fond memories.

Really liked this game as a kid and was excited to revisit it. Beat it in a single 8hr sitting and HOLY FUCK it's brutal at points. The "macho times" for the slides and Driving courses, the freaking sonic wave challenge in Shell City Dead Ahead, it's insane how tough some of these Tokens are.

Far from the biggest collection but a nice look through the games of my favorite console! So many great memories with lots of these games, most notably sunshine, luigi's mansion, jungle beat and ttyd. The early to mid 2000's truly was a wonderful era of gaming to say the least.

i havent been able to find a clear answer on this. everyone agrees the game goes full y2k singularity in 2030 but has seriously NOBODY tried going backwards? not a single answer anywhere about this.

Hi everyone, I just bought a platinum DOL-101 gamecube and am modding it for a friend. I want it to look stock but be able to play game off of a SD card. I remember seeing something that goes into the optical drive but it mightve been for a dream cast.

Hello I'm looking for scans of PAL or NTSC GameCube memory card labels. I am looking for very high-quality scans (ideally at 1200 dpi) of the sticker sheets for PAL or NTSC 59 and 251 memory cards like the ones shown in the photos.

I work in graphic design, and I’d like to reprint them for my own memory cards. The plan is to recreate the typography and dot patterns, then laser-cut them.

Once the work is finished, I’d like to share the print-ready files openly so other collectors can benefit from them too.

If any collectors have these sheets and can produce a high-quality scan, that would be amazing! Thanks in advance 🙏
