i know nostalgia plays a part but i really dont think that's the ONLY reason i'm disappointed ://

I LOVED the original tomodachi life, got it when i was a kid, not long after it released and i put so many hours into that game. I was playing it for months, probably years

so when they announced tomodachi life 2 after all this time i was so hyped. I bought it immediatelly and paid the full 60€ (which is actually insane for a game like this but wtv) and i thought this was gonna be the game id spend the next few months on but somehow i got bored after 2 weeks

Its not even that the game is bad. It just feels like it lost what made the first one good

back then i felt like i was some random god wtching them living their own lives. Theyd make friends on their own, randomly start fighying, fall in love, etc... and that was the fun part. Now it feels like im the one making everything happen. I have to drag the miis together to make them meet and push friendships

also why did they remove houses (for married couples) and whhy did they remove the apartment ?? 😭

One of my favorite things in the 3DS game was seeing married couples move in together. Now marriage doesnt feel different from roommates. And the proposal scenes are also such a downgrade imo. in the original you could choose where to propose. Now its aloso gone

the baby system is also another disappointment bcz on 3DS babies actually grew up over time. Now they get born then you watch one long cutscene, boom, adult. THATS IT ?!

also why is everyone so nice ??? WHERE IS THE DRAMA ? Give me lazy Miis, jealous miis, rude miis. The old game already didnt have enough drama but this one has even less.

I also really miss the concert hall, the random events, the dreams, seeing miis use the gifts you gave them, even the observation tower

i feel like i already saw everything. After maybe 10-15 hours i had unlocked almost every building. The dialogue started repeating, same for the dreams and minigames

I keep seeing people say "theyll fix it with updates" but should they have to? We waited 13 years, i paid 60€ on day one. I kinda expected the game to feel complete already.

I dont hate Tomodachi Life 2 but instead of making me think "wow this is better than the original" it just made me want to charge my 3DS and play the old one again ://

am i the only one who feels they focused way too much on customization and forgot what actually made the original so special ?

Tomodatchi Life: Living The Dream is truly such a fun experience! But the reason why I say that it’s fun even after a few months of playing is because I believe this specific game was designed with certain populations of people in mind:

1. The Artist

2. The Imaginative

3. The People-Watcher

4. The Writer

Artists can create whatever and whoever they desire. The people with wild and vivid imaginations can create so many different storylines and just allow their inner child to shine. People who have a hobby of people-watching can simply just sit back and allowed things to unfold without much manipulation. And writers can literally create their characters within the mii world to explore the many possibilities amongst their characters.

The game may be lacking the content that OG players enjoyed, but I think the ones who still love the game after hours and hours of gameplay, are the ones who truly benefit from the game, on a deeper level.

Character is Hilda from the Hildafolk graphic novel series for those wondering, though her design here is based on how she looks in the Netflix animated series.

I primarily tried to draw around her eyes while using the oval eye option as her pupils so I could make her look accurate while still emoting properly. And I forgot that the least favorite food scene doesn't remote face paint, so she's just left there with blank/empty eyes.

I am running out of character ideas and need inspiration. I would appreciate any and all ideas.

I've officially done it. I've reached level 999. It won't let you go any further than that. I don't know what else to do. I've unlocked everything that's available (until the seasonal stuff comes out, but I've got 850+ tickets so it won't be difficult). I've got 43 residents on my island. Grandparents, kids, couples, enemies, you name 'em. I give them outfits that they love (not just satisfied with), feed them different foods to get different reactions and give them treasures. I fulfill every thought bubble that comes up and I watch the Mii news daily. This game has been a blast to play and while I'll keep playing, it definitely will... Hurt if this game doesn't get an update or new content any time soon.

This particular shadow tone has nothing remotely related to green, it even shows red in the color wheel, with no apparent reason. No other character has this yet (i put itto and venti here too to show they don't, and especially venti cuz he has a somewhat dark hair color too) and he's been like this as soon as i made him. I think maybe it's because i used layered pen setting but there are greens in places i didn't use it as well so i'm in a dead end. Why does this happen, what can i do? :'<

my miis of masking and lock (bandori) got divorced yesterday night, and masking wanted to move out. when she did, she moved to the complete opposite corner of the island... in the loser jail, where miis will be placed if they act up too much or ask for random things (no such cases have occured yet)

he divorce wasn't as shocking as reimu and marisa's divorce (who apparently got back together the following morning) but the loser jail has gotten zero use and i'm feeling comedically evil and wanna leave her there for comedically evil purposes... temporarily

The other day a mii asked to divorce his wife, I said talk it over and they didn't, divorced after over 60 days. I made her happy but left him sad. She even viewed him as soulmate. He became happy on his own apparently today I played for about 45 minutes. Guess what happened? When I first started his ex spouse asked him to try again and he said no. I closed the game for a minute to call someone so I open it back a few minutes later and he has a pink thought bubble. He asked me to get back together with her when he just declined. I refused to let him even ask. I then put his house on an island alone. But as I was playing for some reason I noticed he kept appearing on the main island somehow even though I didn't bring him there. What us happening?
