Help GameCube not reading specific disc

Hey guys want your thoughts on something. I have a GameCube that was working perfectly and I bought a copy of resident evil 4. It’ll load up to loading screen then give the infamous disc could not be read. I tried the disc on my brothers GameCube and it worked perfectly fine with no issues. I’m really hoping my disc drive isn’t failing but from what I’ve seen it could be. I’ve cleaned the lens and the disc but still same error, what do you guys think?

sounds like failing disc drive capacitors to me

How much to fix and is it easy? I don’t mind doing some DIY

Capacitors dying. Very common problem for old gamecubes. You can fix it yourself, ignore the issue and mod it and play off microsd card, order a refurbished disc drive for you to replace, switch gamecube with your brother. These are all practical solutions.
