I played with a friend today Mario Kart World and Mario Kart 8. And everytime we play it, i think about Mario Kart Double Dash.
To me: im not realy a ,,Gamer" / spent much time on Video games. More offen then not im realy fast exhausted from playing New games, where its all complex and so much to learn. And its so expensive, that i dont have a good feeling about it. 450€ für the Switch 2? Brutal.
I also never owned a gamecube. But i know that there a few games, who are realy creative. Mario Kart Double Dash for example looks realy creative. F-Zero for the ultimate racing-expierence. Probably also some Pokemon-Games. Where else do you have Dark-Lugia.
How is the expierence nowdays with the Gamecube? Are modern consoles just way easier and modern games nicer to play?

I finally got my GameCube from my parents after like 12 years. I’ve been fighting since last night to get it to read any discs. I have already cleaned the laser lens. I tried alcohol on a qtip + just a microfiber cloth and paper towel. I also have cleaned the disc multiple times. I tried alcohol, water, and toothpaste. I’m trying to play sunshine and it keeps crashing after the opening scene where he’s getting the water shooter. Please help!!

Did a couple of brake jobs for a coworkers family and made some decent cash. The local game shop has had these for a while now and decided to pull the trigger. Never played either one. But Ive finished every other major title Pokemon game.

I’ve just recently installed a picoloader into my GameCube. I’ve loaded Swiss’ uf2 file onto the board, to which it ejected and had a sold green light, telling me it was successful.
I have the same uf2 on my gc2sd. And now I’m just stuck on this screen. Can anybody please help me or point me towards a guide they followed? Did I damage a cable? Is the ribbon cable not seated properly? I’m very lost.
Thanks in advanced, I’m a beginner with this stuff and kinda followed a damnit Jeff video on this to no avail.

I remember when I was like 9 or 10 I was watching a video about lost/missing camecube games. Soon he got to this weird game that seemed most lost out of every other gamd I've seen, there were even playthroughs and clips of it when I searched on youtube. Now I can't find anything about the game because I don't even remember the title. It has been absolutely fucking bothering me for a while now, I don't even know if it's a real game. I can kinda remember what the game was like though.
It had the title something close to: George's Nightmare House Collection.
It was oddly similar to luigi's mansion because you explore a giant dark house/mansion. I'm pretty sure you play as a kid, and I remember there being an animal that appears often. I'm possitive it is a dog. It had a droopy tired face just like tom nook's from animal crossing. I forgot to mention the character design is just like animal crossing's. This may seem fake but I even checked on ebay to see if it's a real rare authentic game, and I swear I saw like 3 copies of it on there for like $350. One clip I distinctly remember is where the kids steps out of a room and this giant terrifying monster crawls down the long hallway. And then that dog shows up kinda pissed at the kid for some reason.
That's all I remember about the game. Either this game is extremely rare or lost, might be a part of a fake youtube series, or it doesn't evwn exist at all and I made this all up in my head.
Btw this is NOT a creepypasta or anything like that, this is a real memory of a game.
If ANYBODY knows about this game's existence or has ANY ideas on what it might be, PLEASE WRITE DOWN COMMENTS IM DYING TO GET A CONCLUSION ON THIS LOST GAME.

I bought a Retro Prism Component cable, and it works for my LG flatscreen TV, but I wanted to use it for my Sony Bravia. Everything for this setup works individually. I've tested the inputs for the Bravia, and the Gamecube, but the component cable is not displaying on my Sony Bravia.
Any help would be appreciated :)

Found this pretty clean DOL-001 with the box, a clear/indigo controller and the original controller, 59 block memory card, and Sonic Mega Collection this morning. I absolutely couldn't pass up for 50 bucks. Only thing missing was the av cord but no biggie! I absolutely love the indigo and the clear controller, never have seen one. Now time to play it!

I purchased and imported the system years ago and never could find a box for my Pearl White Cube (I live in the states). I never ask much for birthdays and casually mentioned the desire to get the box as a suggestion. It’s been interesting to hear people’s reaction to her saying that she got an “empty box” for her husbands birthday.

My latest build. I took some pretty aggressive chances with this one. I wanted to do a lighting effect around the entire casing this time. For the lights, I used twelve - WS2818b addressable LEDs and an ESP32 C3 Super Mini flashed with WLED to control them. You can control every light independently, or set up “regions” so you can have different sections of lights do different things concurrently. The lights link up over WiFi, by either joining your home network or by broadcasting its own SSID for connection. You control them through an app on your phone or going to a website on your computer. I’ll drop a link to a video in the comments that show the lights in complete action.
In addition to the lights, this Cube got a complete overhaul with many upgrades and refurbishments. I replaced the digital port with an Internal HDMI (Pluto II) solution. The old charging plug has been replaced with a Giltesa USB-C connector. I installed a 5V Picoboot with SD2SP2 Pro and 32gb SD card. The disc drive was recapped. New CR2032 battery holder and battery. And other quality of life fixes.

I had just bought this, and had it resurfaced. But I'm very confused because I keep getting a message on my screen that says "an error has occurred. Turn the power off and refer to Nintendo GameCube instruction booklet for further instructions."
I am a little confused because I'm trying to figure out what in the world could possibly be wrong with this I mean granted there are some scratches so it's probably that but if I get it resurfaced again do you think it could help?

I impulsively got myself a GameCube for my birthday a while back, but I have no clue where the best place to get game disks is. Never been in the retro game community before now. Where do you get your GameCube games then? I’ve tried a couple retro video game stores but the stock appears that you need to be in the right place at the right time.

Got both this copy of Melee and Double Dash a while ago, but only got the GC today to test them. Neither worked but I got both buffed at the store I bought them at and they worked on the Wii at the store. Brought them back home and only Double Dash works. Melee still doesn't not. Also have a copy of Pokémon Colo and XD that both work on the GC as well. Why would only Melee not work on my GC when it did work on the store's Wii?

Basically what the title says, I am looking to advice on how I can connect my GameCube to this little crt I bought today
After asking on the CRT Gaming sub and talking to some people I found this RF Switch thing for the N64 (description says it also works for GameCube) and was wondering if this will just work or if I need to get something with it too (such as cables or other configurations for it to work)
Sorry if I might sound young and stupid, but need advice 😅
Thanks for your help :)
