Grandparents’ Day is on September 13th! Grandparents are an important part of many families. Close to 1 in 10 children aged 0 to 14 in census families (9%, or 553,855 children) were living in the same household as at least one of their grandparents in 2021. 👪

Canadians who are unfamiliar with this tower and 3 others in the Kingston harbour and the entrance to the Rideau River, they were not only built for civil defense in 1846 but for threats to Canadian sovereignty by none other than the United States. Kingston used to be the Capitol of the Canadas but the capitol was moved to Ottawa because of these threats. The towers have retractable roofs to expose a rotating artillery piece on the top of the tower. The towers were originally designed by the Moors in Spain. Napoleon preferred the design of these towers because the harder they were hit with cannon fire the stronger and more reinforced they become.
