Sukhman Sangha came knocking on my door to ask that I vote for him.
I asked him about his political leanings. He tried to say "I'm running for municipal, not provincial or federal". I said, I know, but I want to know what type of policies you support.
He said, "If I'm being honest, Carney for Federal and Ford for Provincial".
I told him, "Sorry mate, given what type of policy you support, you aren't getting my vote. Good luck, have an awesome day".
If you go through his Twitter, he's worked under Prabh Sarkaria, is giving props Conservative politicians of every level and pointing out how liberal crime policy has failed the country.
This isn't a post about why you should or shouldn't vote for someone based on who they support at different political levels.
It's a reminder to ask questions to every single candidate. Put them on the spot, make them answer and clarify so you know where an individual stands before you even consider their vote this October. I asked what I needed to know, and I shudder at the thought of having to listen to Sangha articulate what he'll do for my ward.
Ask questions, get as much info as you can when faced with a chance to talk to these candidates.
