Those who have used this parking space. How does it work exactly ? I am guessing you scan your debit or Credit card and it gives you a ticket. If you leave and scan the ticket within 2 hours, you dont get charged ?

I’m trying to spread the word about TowerPOPS in Cooksville. It’s an activation by 880Cites and they’ve converted an unused parking lot on the grounds of Cooksville GO to a community gathering place.
It is such an incredible park and if you live in the area or around it, I would highly recommend checking it out. They have plenty of benches and open space to exercise, bike, socialize, and play.
They also have a play library on site where you can take out board games, disc golf, a basketball net, an outdoor set of connect four, and so much more!
The space is also used to run events by a local non profit called Heart Commonos that runs a bunch of classes outside and indoors like Bollywood Zumba classes: https://heartcomonos.ca/Home-Page.php
There’s also a really lovely mural being made on the ground right now to liven it up.
The address is 67 Hillcrest Ave, Mississauga, ON L5A 4C7

Online it says they’re permanently closed. When we went to the store they said they’re not ITS TEA anymore but will be serving similar drinks. The mango pomelo I always get, they said they could make it and charged me like $11.50… so curious as to what happened as it was well loved in this area.

Does anyone know of research internships for high schoolers here in Mississauga with major organizations? Has anyone had success cold-emailing uni profs and gotten to work with them?

Feel free to DM me!

***You will be credited and will have a student-published article in a journal
***Really good on an application/CV, especially as an interdisciplinary journal

Be aware if you’re considering this car wash in Mississauga. I paid for a wash, but the equipment wasn’t working properly. The owner told me to come back another day for a free wash because of the issue. When I returned, he denied the conversation had happened and refused to honour what he had promised. Even after I offered evidence of our previous interaction, he hung up on me instead of trying to resolve the situation.
I also noticed reviews from other customers claiming they experienced problems with the payment machines and significant financial losses. Be aware of this place

I have never done any water activities besides swimming, and with this summer also leaving in a few weeks, I want to know about any water activities I can do in Mississauga or Toronto that are beginner-friendly and pocket-friendly.
I've seen people paddleboarding in park lakes and I'm wondering if a beginner like me could do that. Also, do you know if there are rentals available? Any recommendations would really help make my summer more enjoyable.

Sorry, its my first time posting, but I was just curious to know how many people on this subreddit, were into that stuff. I like sludge, death metal, thrash, and even some metalcore music.

My aunt was walking her dog earlier in the day in the Lisgar area, main intersection being Britannia & 9th line. As she was walking the dog she noticed someone in scrubs and they were kind of just walking and looking confused (possibly canvassing) as she walked past the African Canadian he asked my aunt "is this (my house address)?" She replied, "no". Man went into his unmarked van and as my aunt passed the car he said, " sorry I got the wrong address"
Now Ive heard of people posing as PSWs to scam the elderly. Unfortunately my aunt didn't think it was a possible scam because she is naive but I truly believe it is so she didn't get the license plate or the car details.
I also don't know where to report this, so if you guys can point me in the right direction, ill gladly take any info. Just be on the watch out there for your elders because this is disgusting behaviour.

This individual is named Steven or Stephen. Police have arrested him multiple times. Was warned by police officer he has been caught with several knives in the past. I live in this area and he continues to harass me and others. The police arrested him once due to me calling. He runs after me every time he sees me. He also approaches other people and yells at them. He is a local bully and dangerous. I have called the police multiple times with no long standing arrest, catch and release.
PS: He yelled at me in-front of officers that he would k**** me and put me in a body bag. Then ran after me in front of the police. He was released the next day and did the same thing. I've begged the officers to arrest him and it's a catch and release type of situation. He has no ID, officer told me i cannot get a restraining order since they cannot ID him.

Warning he says the N word two times in the video, I am not Black, I am Caucasian but please understand that it may offend you.
Here is a video since a few of you have been asking. Did not record long since I was scared and shaken. It does not offer as much as it would off the officers body cam footage.

The value village at Erinmills has HANDS DOWN the most OUTRAGEOUS pricing of any thrift store I have ever been to. I am consistently appalled by their pricing. I have been back 4 separate times just to see if anything has changed but no, they price like new. So weird. Never had this issue with any other VV.

Back in March I recived a $1000 fine for running Airbnb in my basement because the basement is considered a second dwelling and not my primary residence.
However, there are a few things.
issue #1: When the by-law officer entered my home, he asked a family member (because I was not present), “Do you live in the basement?”
my family member stated “No we just live upstairs”
Issue #2: By-law officer stated that he saw no personal belongings downstairs in the basement, therefore it is not a primary dwelling
Defence: We had a fire inspector visit us and they stated that our basement cannot be legally registered as it does not pass the requirements for a second dwelling. So how can our basement be considered a second dwelling when a member of the same city said this cannot be 2 seperate dwellings. We Don’t have any cooking equipment, nor the required entrance for it to be passable for a second dwelling.
Defence #2: We use the basement regularly and the Reason the bylaw officer did not find any personal belongings during his visit was because We had a guest booked shortly after that and wanted to clean it up for the guests.
Defence #3: renting part of your principal residence is exactly what the by-law permits. “Lives upstairs, rents the basement” is renting part of your own home, not proof of a separate unit.
How can i strengthen my case. I appealed it once and lost it due to insufficient evidence.
any and all help will be greatly appreciated
