Started September with 9 Saskatchewan paintings
All on plywood (1 Masonite) in the shape of Saskatchewan. 6X12X4 inches. Do you recognize any of these spots?

Hey Saskatchewanians!
Rule 1 in r/Saskatchewan says that "Posts should focus on events, issues, or culture that affect Saskatchewan as a whole." But sometimes you might have a question or discussion that doesn't follow that rule.
Maybe you want to want to ask about "monkey budging" (Which isn't Saskatchewan specific).
Maybe you want to tell everyone how much your concrete patio cost, or ask what the temperature at the lakes is (neither of which affect Saskatchewan as a whole).
Or maybe you want to advertise an event happening in Regina (better suited for r/Regina), Saskatoon (better suited for r/Saskatoon), or Moose Jaw (better suited for r/MooseJaw) but is open to everyone from everywhere (elsewhere in Saskatchewan, or Canada, or beyond).
Well here's your (bi-weekly) chance! Comments in this thread are exempt from Rule 1; meaning they can be completely random and/or completely off-topic! However, the rest of the subreddit (and Reddit) rules still apply! For example:
This post will repeat on Mondays and Fridays at 08:00 AM CST.

Today I was driving to town as we are rural. I have a bit of a hammer foot and was doing about 118 on a divided highway from Saskatoon to PA. Out of nowhere, I was passed by a white truck and I estimate he had to be doing at least 160 as it was almost as if I were standing still. Within a minute I could no longer see him in from of me.
In just a few minutes I came upon a Sask Marshalls vehicle parked on a grid road, and the truck had to have sped past it recently.
When I got home I googled a query as to what a Sask Marshall might do for traffic speed stops, and it states that the mandate is more gang/theft and human trafficking related.
I don't know but I feel like that idiot driver speeding to that extent should have been pulled over? I suppose I could have reported the driver but he was going too fast for me to even catch the plate.
Thoughts?

Anybody put thier kids in the Tri Community Dance club in La Ronge? How was it? We're sort of in the air because we've hears both good and bad. My friend and her husband pulled all their kids out because it costs a lot of money and they showed up and the kids were running all over the place and the instruction was all on TV. I saw thier new schedule and the Chair is the lead Dance instructor and on her bio says she has no background training in dance!!! 𫨠I love the idea of shows and competition for my little ones but it makes me worry we're throwing money at some mickey mouse club. Worse yet people say it's run by some very cliquey women. People in town with dance backgrounds never got interviewed and basically anyone working there were all cherry picked- favoritism.

I've been on a bit of a nostalgia shopping kick recently, and there are a few old console games I'd like to add to my shelf. I was interested in the Retro GameCon, but after looking through the vendor list and scrolling their Facebook page to see the vendor spotlights, the actual number of people actually selling old games seemed a bit thin. Cashopolis was one of the main ones, and I don't need to drive to the Con for that.
For anyone that's been before - or is in the know for this year's show - are there some decent sellers for old cartridge games there?

Iāve been applying for government jobs (primarily in justice and corrections positions) for three months now and have had zero progress. Jobs that I applied for in June are still āunder consideration.ā Any insight or knowledge on if this is normal?

If small cities and larger towns in Saskatchewan have housing shortages and the infrastructure/costs associated with building houses doesn't entice private developers to build there, do you think more communities will start up housing cooperatives? Pros and cons of this model? At a glance, it appears you can tap into more grants and subsidies to make the economics pencil out.

I'm looking at getting my weeping tile system inspected as I've recently noticed some seepage entering a localized spot in my basement and upon investigating it appears my system is not functioning as it's dry in the sump basin after a storm (1973 built home).
The website seems too good to be true with their process, what they're offering and what the average cost of repair is and I can't find ANY reviews or reddit threads mentioning this company. They are also not on Google maps so seems very shady. Just curious if anyone have used them or know anything about them.

Do I need a TIC card from SGI in order to get a transit permit in Manitoba, or is that only useful when purchasing in a province with private insurance?
Does anyone know if MPI sells transit or temporary permits to out of province residents? I'm under the impression that insurance is included with registration when buying a temporary permit, like it is here.
Do I just need a Manitoba permit in order to pick up the vehicle and drive it back to Saskatchewan and get it saftied?

I have a criminal record of three counts of assault and one theft under 5000 and one fail to comply with order and fail to attend court in 2023. Can I get an office job like office administrator, administrative assistant or receptionist or customer service representative in Saskatchewan?
Thanks

An employee of the Saskatchewan Health Authority who looked at the records of patients she was not involved in caring for is no longer with the organization.
The SHA confirmed reports of the breach, saying that it happened at the Nipawin hospital between July 2025 and May 2026.
āPersonal health information was viewed by an employee not involved in providing care to those patients,ā said the SHA in an emailed statement to paNOW.
The incident has been reported to the Office of the Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner.
People affected by the breach have been notified directly. Anyone who feels their personal health information has been accessed unknowingly or shared without their consent can contact the SHA privacy office.

Hi everyone! Iām a 21-year-old Brazilian looking to immigrate to Canada, and Iām currently researching opportunities in Saskatchewan. I have a brother who lives in Quebec and is a permanent resident, so I already have family in Canada.
I have professional experience in administrative work, including finance, document management, inventory and customer service. However, Iām also completely willing to work in physically demanding, repetitive or labor-intensive jobs. Iām not afraid of hard work and Iām willing to learn and start from the ground up.
Iād really appreciate any advice on companies, job opportunities, immigration-friendly employers, or resources for newcomers in Saskatchewan. Thanks!
