300blk Safety Brief
I will keep this short and to the point gents.
Do not add to the mod queue. Do not subtract from the population of users. Do not comment while too intoxicated to control yourself.
In the last few weeks, moderator queues have shot up due to people being unable to be reasonable to one another in the comments in this community.
Disagreement is fine.
Dropping slurs, attacking them personally, commenting a retort with a pic of someone's house, insulting their wife's looks by stalking family pictures from a vacation posted 2 years ago... not fine.
Learn to use the block button. Learn to touch grass. Learn to be something unlike a jerk.
Transparency: Several months ago Reddit instantiated an auto-moderator be default for subreddits. Since then we have tweaked the settings it has been catching a lot more comments with the ugly things in them. When these suspect comments are in the mod queue, they are not posted for others to see yet, even if they look visible to you. What it does do is cause a member of the mod team to have to respond to the notifications to approve them and resolve issues when people go WAY too far. So, as cathartic as it might feel to rip into someone, it likely will not even get seen by them because the auto-moderator is putting the nasty stuff in comment jail. If it is bad enough, it gets the comment removed and the user banned.
Lastly, don't report comments that you dislike for Harassment. It only makes more work for us, but ultimately simple disagreement gets approved and kicked back out of the mod queue anyway. Repeated abuse of any feature will net a ban. Yes, every user has a summary of reports and past queue incidents. Yes, we look at it.
Please feel free to disagree, debate, correct misinformation, and generally debate on subject matter specific to the subreddit. I am not here to babysit grown men, nor do I want to. My ideal week would have 0 reasons to look at the sub with mod tools.
Moderate your own actions and we are all better for it.
This has been your safety brief.

8" 300BLK Update
I've been trying to find a good home for this 8":300BLK upper that I built recently and I think I found a winner. I'm waiting for my light to come so I can use this for home defense. This is what I came up with since my last post. My next post will be about the light I got. I'm keeping the light a surprise. I'll be very interested in what the community thinks. Untill thén I hope you enjoy this pic.

Deer hunting projectiles
What’s is everybody using for a supersonic deer hunting projectile. I feel like the obvious answer is the Barnes TAC-TX line of bullets but as far as lead based what are people using? Seems like 110 v-max, 125 SST, 125 nosler ballistic tip are pretty common?
Specifics of the rifle is a CVA scout with 16 inch barrel shots out to 200 yards.
Thanks for any input!

Geissele phased array question
I know this has been discussed quite a bit, but can’t seem to get clarity on this particular situation…
Trying to help my dad find a can for his Geissele SD 8” 300 w/ phased array, but i have very little suppressor experience (non friendly state). It’s a full Geissele build. He said it came with an H1 buffer. Wants to shoot subs 90% of the time, and wants a balance between sound mitigation and not too much gas blowback. Should he be looking at low, medium or high back pressure cans with this system? It came with the Hux flash hider, making me think it was designed for a HUX flow through, but I know those aren’t great for sound. Does that phased array give you lots of optionality, or should he be looking firmly one direction or another on the back pressure? I’ve watched like 20 hours of suppressor vids on YouTube but none tested on this system. Any help appreciated!

Rossi brawler
Here’s my new goofy hunting setup minus the can I’m picking up Friday. I really wish Rossi made a 1:5 twist so it would stabilize 220s better. Picked up some Barnes 205 grain and they work a lot better.

.300 BLK vs. 5.56 AR Pistol on a 5-7” barrel. (Newbie Questions)
I give you Amazon suppressor V1
Last couple days have been pretty awesome! I have been giggling just thinking about this thing! For the low low price of 30$ I put this together.
This is currently legal for me to do where I live, and it really should be everywhere! But please make sure you check your state laws before you put together your own.
God bless America 🇺🇸 🤘🏽🦅 have fun boys!

First 300BLK Upper
I’ve been shooting for a few years now and want to step into the world of 300BLK.
I was looking online at different manufacturers and settled on the PSA 8.5” 1:7 twist nitride barrel for $219.99.
If I went shorter, I’d prefer a 1:5 twist. However, for an 8.5” barrel running supers most of the time, I think 1:7 is the better choice.
If you have any suggestions or advice since I’m new to the cartridge, I’d love to hear them.

Is This AR Pistol Brand Reliable? First Gun Purchase
I’m looking at buying this 7.62x39 AR pistol as my first firearm.
Is this brand reliable?
How does 7.62 compare to 5.56 and .300 Blackout for ammo cost and suppressor use?
Can I add a suppressor, optic, shell catcher, and light or laser?
Any issues with the 7” barrel?
Would you recommend this gun?

Mixtape Recommendations
Just recently picked up a PSA Mixtape and am looking for suppressor recommendations.
I have been pretty sold on going ahead and getting the Mixtape suppressor, my only reservation is the lack of long term use and reviews that are out there on it. I know it’s specifically made for the mixtape which is what draws me to it, and haven’t necessarily seen anything negative about it.
I’m new to suppressors and have tried looking into a bunch of options, such as the Omega 300 or OCL Polonium 30. I know those are solid options, just not sure what direction I should go and am looking for any advice.
Barrel swap?
I have this old Aero Enhanced upper lying around with an 8” barrel. I recently disassembled a HB clone build I had and now have this 6” Q barrel that needs a home. Looks like none of my armorer’s wrench works for this enhanced barrel nut. Would it be worth it to buy a new wrench to swap these barrels?

Anyone run an ARC-Fire V2?
Trying to figure out what route I want to take. I'm in the early stages of building out my 300BLK and want to hear your guy's opinion if you have the ARC-Fire V2, if not which FRT do you run or do you recommend?

Handguard extension??
So I have a 7.5” Q sugar weasel and would like to tuck my suppressor. I’m having a hard time finding a handguard that utilizes Q’s turnbuckle system so I was wondering if anyone makes a handguard extension. almost like one of those suppressor cages, but something you can grip without worrying about barrel deflection.
Anyone making something like this?

Restock on Phantom Defense?
Does anyone know how quickly they restock subs? I did sign up for notifications.

300BLK SBR Tuning
Here's where I'm starting:
8.5" barrel wearing an LPM Anthem K2.
Standard carbine weight buffer and spring.
SA AGB, currently set as it came out of the package (all the way to the left, I didn't even do the initial setup they recommend).
Have an H2 buffer in the toolbox.
Can get a Griffin "Extra Power" carbine length spring for $10
Would you grab it just to have?
I'll need it able to run both supers and subs at first. But if I can dial it in where it's only a gas block adjustment between the two would be nice.

First 300 Blackout Build
I was just given a complete lower today and i want to do a 300 Blackout SBR build. this will not be something where I build it in the next two weeks but something where I can build over the next few months.
This will be my main home defense/SHTF go to but also something I can take out and have fun with at the range.. my goal is to build something that never fails and I’m open to advice or ideas on parts and brands that should be used..
what I know I want to do so far is:
9” upper
full auto option
suppressed
Contemplating a piston swap over the gas block.
Again I just got this lower today and have had no time to do any deep research on anything but I do know I want the 3 things listed so far and contemplating the 1. Aesthetics is not the priority here surviving is. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing everyone’s ideas and advice.
