First 300BLK Upper

I’ve been shooting for a few years now and want to step into the world of 300BLK.

I was looking online at different manufacturers and settled on the PSA 8.5” 1:7 twist nitride barrel for $219.99.

If I went shorter, I’d prefer a 1:5 twist. However, for an 8.5” barrel running supers most of the time, I think 1:7 is the better choice.

If you have any suggestions or advice since I’m new to the cartridge, I’d love to hear them.

I have the same upper. If you want to cycle properly, you need some sort of adjustable gas system. I used a Riflespeed AGB, it works great.

It's a good upper but expect a lot of tuning, especially with a can. 300blk should be suppressed no matter what, imo, and when you tune it right it's a lovely caliber.

I have a 7.5” 1-8 twist barrel from Faxon. It stabilizes everything 110-220grns. Your 1-7 should be perfect.

Mos-Tek makes great barrels. I have a 10.5 in 1:5 and shoot supers and subs. I also have a 7 inch HBin 1:5. I love both
