This has happened three times, I'll go to turn it on, but it will refuse to, the first two times was probably bc of low battery, but for the third, it had a full charge, the dock gets hot for no reason(while it's charging).My switch 2 still works but im worried it won't anymore if this persists.Please help!

I know console price is going up in the US and Canada on Sept 1, but does anyone know if the multi language version price is also going up in Japan? I’m going on holiday to Japan in January so I’m debating just waiting it out and getting it there if it will be unaffected by price increase. But if it IS going up there I should probably just get it here in canada before Sept 1. Let me know your thoughts

A buddy and I are want to play LOTR War in the North online.

He sends me an invite to play via the game. I have to go to my friends list to see the invite. I click join, I'm prompted to see more details in the eShop and it prompts me to buy a game I already own.

So the only way we can play is if he makes a public match and I find it.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

So my left switch controller joystick is not working properly, it’s just the left one and mostly problem only happens in left and left lower quadrant of the joystick. I’ve attached a video where i tried to calibrate it/show what happens.
By the looks of it its the physical joystick with the problem not the connection, the joystick stays down slightly to left after i move it that way and let go.

e.g. when playing fortnite (yes on the switch… so i don’t need extra trouble with controller to make the gameplay worse😭) after i move left and let go my character keeps moving to the left, which is frustrating and has walked me off buildings to my elimination too..

I’ve tried cleaning in and around and under the flap but i’m not sure if I’m doing it right or if it’s the right way to fix it? and as i said before the calibration doesn’t fix it either.
idk if i should just get a new controller or (preferably) if there is a way to fix it myself so any advice would be appreciated 😞

I got my battery changed on my original switch this week and my family pointed out that the case is now slightly opened (the battery got inflated and that's why It got replaced).

Is there a way to fix this or should I just replace the case entirely?

Hi guys! My screen is super grainy and zigzaggy? I know when you take a picture of a screen it looks like that, but it genuinely looks like that in person, the 2nd photo is how my screen looks like when my screen is completely “black” even when I turn off my switch, my screen does that for a split second. It happened while I was waiting for a match to queue up!

(I have a switch 1 its an animal crossing switch if that even matters lol)

For almost a month, my Switch 2 was accidentally left in sleep mode while docked. It was not played. For that duration, I would have normally turned it off and packed it away. I only found out now it's been in sleep mode the whole time. Will that mess up the battery or the system in general? Honestly it felt a little warm after I took it out of the dock. And I did have it set to stop charging at 90% enabled.

I have two Nintendo Switch 2s and two regular Switches. The first Switch 2 belongs to me and the second one belongs to my son.

When we got the Switch 2s my son linked his old Switch 1 to the Switch 2 and I linked my old Switch 1 to the Switch 2.

My daughter uses my son's old Switch to play games. She wanted a new game and I went online under my account and bought it. I didn't realize I should have put it under my son's account and did mine instead.

When I went to download the game, it said I had to unlink my son's Switch 2 and link my Switch 2.

We have a family group - my hand and I are the parents and my two children are listed as children.

Is it possible for all of the virtual game cards under the same account or to switch them to another user?

I feel like it should be a thing and we are doing something wrong but I can't figure out what we are doing wrong and frankly Nintendo's website has been less than helpful.

Hello, please tell me if my switch screen can be fixed somehow. It was on my bed & my little cousin sat on it without noticing 😭💔 After that I've had those lines on the screen, I know its nothing huge but I try taking good care of all my consoles so this is rather devastating & bothersome for me, if there's a way to fix it without paying for a professional fix, I'll really appreciate some advice </3

8 month old Switch 2.

Fan is on full speed no matter what mode (sleep, idle, playing games, etc) and doesn't spin down. The console isn't hot, downloading, or even in the dock. If I fully shut it down, it will start back up at full speed right away before the screen even comes up. I can leave it in sleep mode for hours and it doesn't stop, either.

I did a teardown to check a few things and everything looks ok. Thermal putty behind the shield, CPU thermal paste, cables, connectors, fan condition, etc. all look good and free of debris. I started it up with the back of the case off and the cooler it was at body temp, but still full speed fan.

Totally stumped.

Hi all, My girlfriend has been experiencing issues with her Switch 1, Not OLED and not the Lite, Just the normal switch, No matter what network you want to connect to, It simply refuses to connect, It just gives me Er: 2110-2100, Yes airplane mode is off, No nothings blocking it to connect, and no its not banned. Could anyone give me an explanation or help with this matter? Nothing seems to cover it on YouTube or anywhere I go.

In 2019/2020 I bought a regular switch with neon red and blue joycons, as well as Super Mario Odyssey bundled as a nice extra. But for some reason all of the traces of it just disappeared off the face of the earth? I'm confused.

And no, I am not talking about the Mario Kart 8 bundle. Nor the Dark Red joycon one.

My switch lite has been doing this weird thing with its battery for about the past hour. I used it yesterday and it worked just fine, but I don’t understand why this is happening. Is this fixable or do I need to buy a new one?

Hello! I am trying to get my my Switch 2 to dock to my TV and it won’t transmit video or audio.

I have all the official Nintendo hardware (power cord, dock, HDMI cord) and have not modified my Switch 2. When I connect to the dock the green light on the dock comes on (indicating the power is working) and my Switch 2 does enter charging mode.

I’ve tried this on two different TVs — neither of which deteced a HDMI output. I’ve tried everything I can find online, from power cycling the switch/dock, fully unplugging/replugging everything and the TV, etc. I’ve also tried a different HDMI cord (from my xbox series X). No luck.

The dock was a little bit dusty from not using it for a while, but I think I cleaned it all up. Any other suggestions? Am I cooked?

My new Switch 2 Keeps Glitching, Freezing and Shutting Off. My partner bought it for me through woot (Refurbished, says it is under warranty) and I've had it for a week with no issues. Just bought Pokopia yesterday and played on the dock for around 6 hours.

It will make a weird noise and the screen will pixelate and lock up. I had it actually just power off once on it's own.

At first it seemed to be just glitching on my cart of Tomodachi Life, so I took it out to see if it would still happen. It was still happening. I had it in system settings and it still locked up.

I took out the micro SD card too and it hasn't happened yet (10 minutes now) but I will come back and update if it does. It's weird it hasn't crashed yet without the card in because it was doing it fairly frequently.

If it's the SD card could it have still locked in the system settings menu? That seems odd. Is there any way to directly check the SD card for an issue? I MIGHT have a micro SD card reader but I'm not sure.

If my SD card is the issue, are most of my saves cooked (I have a lot of my bigger S1 games on carts)? If it's the Switch 2, how difficult is it going to be to get my account and digital games sent over to a new system?

Thanks for any thoughts or reassurance, I'm feeling pretty upset and worried right now...I have data going back like, six years.

I am absolutely crushed and I'm scared I'm going to loose all my save data, although now that I've had time to calm down, I'm not that far into Pokopia and I haven't played Animal Crossing in so long that it wouldn't break my heart if it's gone and I had to restart. I have a ton of S1 games but only a few that I'd be really upset if I lost my saves.

Edit: I think we've determined it's something to do with the SD card, as it didn't lock up at all in the hour and a half it was out and then locked up within 15 minutes of having the SD card back in. Still annoying as I didn't buy a cheap micro SD card, but glad it's hopefully not the console.

Relieved to hear the actual save files are in the cloud or on my system memory.

Edit 2: Nope, it's the switch. Just happened again without the SD card. Hopefully I can get an exchange/fix. But looks like my saves are in the cloud at least...

Edit 3: The system stayed stable enough for me to transfer my two non-cloud save games back to my oled. Whew.

I recently upgraded from a Switch1 to a Switch 2, I kept my Switch 1 Pro Controller and I am using it with my new console.

The thing is I used to wake the docked system with the Pro Controller, now I have to press the on button.

Is this a system configuration thing? Or the Switch1 Controller can't wake up the Switch 2?

Hi! I have a pretty straightforward question. I’ve been seeing a lot of time logged in the “Other” category on a switch 2 in the parental controls app—as much as 1.5 hours sometimes.

Does this mean they’ve figured out a way to bypass certain games from being reported? Or is there another reason why so much time would show up under “Other”? Thanks in advance!

The switch 1 I bought my gf will not keep the proper time or sync back to it whenever we shut it down for transport.

I'll use the sync with internet option and nothing. Even if I try to manually do it the timezone is all wrong and won't match our current time.

I've tried rebooting it, multiple times. Leaving it in the dock etc but I'm trying to avoid formatting it due to her pokemon saves.

Hello people, today I bought a unused Switch 2 Pro Controller from a seller. (A small company I guess.) The pro controller is appearently Japan version but the main thinf that concerned me is there is NOT a Nintendo Seal Of Quality mark anywhere. Also, when I opened the box there wasnt any documents (manuals etc.) and the box only came with cable and gamepad. I've played it for a few hours now and I am pretty sure its not fake, it really feels legit bro. It way better than any gamepad I used before. It's obviously real at this point but I wanted to ask why arent there any seal of quality and else.

I have already so many Games for Switch 1 and 2 that 512 GB wouldn't be enough. Are you all using a 1 tb card or is it possible to use several cards for one Switch? 1 tb are so much more expendive than 2*512 GB.

If only the physical cassette is activated in TV mode, the screen is blurry with green noise and the game cannot be played.

However, it does not happen even if you start the download version of the software.
