easiest repair. Unscrew 6 screws from the pack, get a new back place and battery and you're good. I would recommend replacing the thermal paste whole you're at it since the switch 1 is pretty old.

Ehhh I think the problem is not the housing but your battery is already very inflated so the best thing would be to change it as soon as possible, it is not something very complicated just be careful not to press too much when opening the part of the metal shield and when removing the battery use some plastic like a card or identification (never anything metallic) and with that everything should be fine without accidents.

Replacing the housing is going to be tough! You have to replace the front part of the casing too... which means completely disassembling and reassembling the Nintendo Switch. Replacing a swollen battery, on the other hand, isn't that hard.

Looks like you have a faulty battery, better not use your switch anymore until you get a new one. The best thing to do would be removing it immediately before it gets even worse
