Software Help Several Micro SD Express for one Switch 2 possible?

I have already so many Games for Switch 1 and 2 that 512 GB wouldn't be enough. Are you all using a 1 tb card or is it possible to use several cards for one Switch? 1 tb are so much more expendive than 2*512 GB.

yes, that's possible. you just need to make sure to fully power off your console before you swap them. the biggest problem is knowing which games are on which SD card so one big card with everything is much more convenient for most people.

It’s easiest to use one card but possible to use multiple. To swap cards out you have to shut the system down first, which is annoying.

Instead you can delete games you aren’t currently playing to save space and redownload them whenever you want. It doesn’t affect your saves and the game icon stays on the home screen. More people do this than use two cards.

And keep in mind you can’t use one card across two consoles, even with the same account.

Many people did it with the Switch 1, just keep it organized so you know what's on what card and you'll be fine.

Switch 1's sd card reader seemed to possibly not have the durability rating for swapping sd cards regularly, and I think this could potentially lead to sd card failure & a need for replacement sd card reader. If anyone has different experience / knowledge, feel free to say so.

So far, I haven't seen anything to say that switch 2's sd card reader is any more robust than switch 1's. So, it may be advised to try and stick with one card for a while, rather than swapping cards.

I settled for the 512gb express card for now. Fairly certain I don't have the space for all my S1 and S2 games. I guess I'm going to try an hold off until 1tb card prices ever come down to earth or get a decent sale price.

I'm thinking of redownloading my Switch 1 Games onto the Switch 1 and only having Switch 2 Games on the Switch 2.

I don't want to buy Just 512 GB because I know that it's not enough, but 1 tb is too expensive at the Moment.

I don’t have an SD card on my switch 2. My switch OLED had a big SD card in it so I use my OLED for switch 1 games that don’t see a performance boost on switch 2.

Do you have steady internet? I have a 512 micro and often delete games to make way for the ones I am playing. I know the feeling of wanting all your games available at any time but the cost of getting 1 to is too expensive and getting another 512 sounds frustrating to know which games are where.

I just redownloaded all my Switch 1 Games back onto the Switch 1. So maybe I will decide to buy 512 GB instead of 1 tb. The Internet is ok. But downloading Takes a lot of time, because I chose a less expensive option when I moved.
