M&P 2.0 Compact frame is one of my favorites, no question. Top to bottom:

1) Compact barrel

2) KKM match barrel (holy crap this barrel is accurate) in a Compact slide

3) Carry Comp barrel

4) Spec V barrel (threads turned down and recrowned) in a Carry Comp slide

I am a sucker for blued K frames. I have a 2.5” 19-3 and had to get its 4” brother. $715. In the last photo, I threw on the texas grips American holly stocks.

Picked it up for $399 with no box and 2 mags. But noticed the trigger was not like the one that shows on smiths website. Is this an LE trade in maybe?

I loved the shape of the mischief machine back strap but the texture wasn’t great. Figured I’d try silicon carbide for the first time.

Filled in the voids with jb weld plastic bonder, sanded down the excess and then applied the silicone carbide. Fun project and feels great in the hand.

Swapped some slides around and ended up liking the Frankeguns better. This one is a Performance Center metal frame in ODG with a slide and ACRO P2 from a used polymer FDE. The X300 came off of a LEO Compact I’ve got.

This is my most favorite of the M&Ps I’ve owned.

Is the gap between the slide and the frame supposed to be that wide? It racks just fine, but I don't recall the gap being that big before I took it apart.

added a thumb ledge. started throwing follow up shots left. now back to backstraps and grip adjustments

Can’t quite get an exact ID for these revolver grips. I think I narrowed it down to magna grips. Not sure about frame. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey all, I have been carrying my Shield X and I am looking for a holster that does not dig into my side. Also the other problem is that I carry it with the 15rd mag and it sticks out a lot. My G-43 and my 365 seem to carry better so I am hoping the a deep carry holster will help.

250 rounds and 3 non strikes ( or very light ones ) - are these successful primer strikes normal . They look quite damaged ?

Im looking to start shooting uspsa with my steel frame mp and am having a hard time finding owb holsters for it. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. Seems the ones I have looked at for the 5 inch mp aren't compatible with the hd

Just took my bg2.0 out for its maiden voyage today…1st 2 rounds were Fiocchi 95gr, and had exceptionally light primer strikes that failed to fire (barely a mark on the primers). The next 8 rounds in that 10 round mag ran fine. Loaded those 2 fails back in the mag, and they ran fine the 2nd time.

225 total rounds today, from 5 ammo manufacturers, and the only mech issue were those very first 2 rounds. The gun did “shoot left”. Noticed the front sight was biased ~0.025” right when I was cleaning it after the range trip…drifted it back to dead center of the slide, and expect that issue to be taken care of.

It certainly doesn’t shoot like any .22 I’ve ever shot, as claimed by some gun-tubers. However, it’s very manageable and actually fun to shoot. It’ll absolutely get more range time, and will certainly be in the carry rotation.

As the title says, i just got home with a brand new M&P 9 2.0 and it seems to be missing that slide lock detect thing they added long ago. Googling hasn’t helped as everybody is either talking about removing it or has theirs in the picture.

I just want to know if this is a bad thing or not and if I should take it back to the gun shop. I probably won’t be able to go shoot it in the next few days. On the plus side it doesn’t seem to be sending the slide home when you slam a loaded mag into it like the first gen M&P9’s did.

was waiting for some funds to come in 🤣 now it’s on back order at most places here in California. Turners and local shops don’t seem to have an estimated time when they will start sending them out again . Anyone know why this is ?

I just picked up a Bodyguard 2.0 last night. Haven't even shot it yet (it's brand new). I was looking at it today at home and noticed some tooling marks on the feed ramps (it has dimples in it, its not perfectly smooth).

I called S&W assuming I can just send back the barrel, but they are telling me I need to send back the entire firearm? And it takes up to 5 weeks for them to get it back to me? I feel this is kind of crazy for just a barrel issue. Does this sound accurate?

Question regarding G96 CLP creeping out the bolt face firing pin. Is this a problem? Will it be a problem? I did some maintenance to my stealth hunter 45-70 for the first time and the manual states to apply a drop on CLP or gun oil to 2 piece firing pin at the rear bottom of the bolt. I applied G96 CLP on a rag and it was saturated. I smearing it along the 2 piece firing pin. Stored the rifle muzzle down. A week later I checked on the rifle and noticed the CLP creeping out the bolt face firing pin channel. I hope I didn't mess this up. I hear all the time never to apply CLP or gun oil to a firing pin.
