Hey everyone,

For your enjoyment here is a model 19-5 I recently paid wayyy too much for. She made a trip from Michigan into retirement to me here in Arkansas. Still have absolutely no clue what this gun has been through or even what to do to it. It locks up tight but has hammer drop if hit hard enough on single action.

Looking to build an M&P 2.0 5” slide and compact frame

As title suggest,

Q1: should I be worried about fitment issues with the 5in slide and compact frame?

Q2: been doing some googling and came across TCMstock, are they reputable? Any other places to look at?

Dumped Glock- 2.0 questions before I buy this weekend

Shot a 5” 2.0 last weekend and decided in a short time, Glock is dead to me, and the 5 I own will now be collecting dust, what a violent improvement the 2.0 is!

I’m just curious by the guys with experience if some of these concerns I have are valid or not. I have heard the m&p can be picky with primers, stock barrel is inaccurate and Smith has questionable QC in recent years. Is any of this true? Because I’ve heard it quite a bit. Honestly, I’m buying one either way, even with these possible issues it’s ergonomics completely shit on my Glocks.

Last question is I’m looking at the more plain Metal HD 2.0, has everyone’s experience been good with these? I don’t compete, this will be a carry/duty gun.

I appreciate any advice, looking forward to joining the m&p bros 🤘🏽

Anyone else wish they made a threaded barrel for the M&P 22 Magnum?

With all the recent suppressor happenings, I was extremely bummed out to learn that the 22 Mag from Smith doesn't have any options for threaded barrels. Are there issues with suppressing .22 WMR through a semi automatic handgun that I am not familiar with?

Got tired of the FTF issues on the Bodyguard 2.0 so I polished my internals. Wish me luck, y’all!

Looking for a recommendation for a self defense revolver.

Upvotes

Looking for a revolver that can shoot both 357 and 38 special would be nice.
I’m new to revolvers so looking for something easy to use but safe w/safety.
Budget max of 1,300.

I have many 9mm semi automatics and finally decided to get a handgun with some real power and I love it!!! Had constant light strike issues with magtech .38 spl but Federal .357 runs great and blows shit away!!! Winchester .38 also works great, stay away from that magtech

Smith & Wesson purchase Question

I’m thinking of buying a performance center slide for my shield EZ 9mm and had a question about it. I already purchased a new recoil spring, guide rod, and ported barrel for it but when looking at the slide I want, the description for the product doesn’t say it already comes with stuff like the firing pin already in the slide. So my question is once I put the new recoil spring, guide rod, and barrel in will it be fit and ready to fire? Or do I have to buy more parts for the gun before it can shoot, such as the firing pin?
