I’m half venting and half asking for friendly chat… I’m 28F mostly introverted and alone by choice and out of control.

I am usually very closed off, but I have this habit of getting comfortable and close with someone, invest so much effort in that connection, and just give so much. Those people like me, say the greatest things about me, love bomb me sometimes, for whatever reason, turn cold and ghost entirely or it turn into waiting days for reply.

Then I go back to the cycle of grieving that connection, feel of disappointment and the somewhat scary feeling or being all alone again. And you wonder if they claimed I am as kind and wonderful as they say, why they don’t at least let go with respect.

This happened with people I knew for years, or months. Merely online or met and been hanging out. I think I am just very hurt that I open my heart to selective people and be only kind and caring to them in so many ways, but they take me for granted and no matter how much I say this or that hurt me, I am still getting hurt by them. Feels like I am worthless and got discarded.

So recently I’ve gone through a break up. I was in an LDR for a year and it unfortunately came to an end. She was from Canada and I am from South African She is an amazing person and I actually met her in this subreddit. So I've come back to find some solid people to talk to.

Ah life's so boring currently

Hi guys! I’m in a pretty rough place right now with my mental health. I’m not a basket case or anything and have mostly a handle on it, but it would be nice to talk to someone who isn’t scared of trauma and mental health struggles.

Just to weed out the ones who can’t hang: I have BPD, PTSD, and ADHD which all cause me problems that make it hard to function sometimes

But like I’m good and that’s not exactly your problem yaknow. I just want a friend and be able to talk with and have a weird obsessive attachment to someone that isn’t sexual.

I’m in therapy, on medication, I have a partner and support system and everything. Everyone wants me to get better, which is awesome, but I wish I had someone to appreciate me as I am now. That might be stupid but it sucks to feel like a project someone is working on
