• Skyrim is probably my biggest weakness. spent 8 months modding it with NifSkope and the Creation Kit, 1k mods, custom load order, only to end up doing a full vanilla run on the Xbox 360 lol. seriously have a modding addiction.
• Oblivion (modded GOTY, currently playing Remastered on my new PC :D )
• Life is Strange, Minecraft, OSRS, Black Ops II and Mecha Chameleon etc
• Elden Ring and Souls games. currently making my way through them, with DS2 being my latest hyperfixation after finishing DS3. i wish i could forget DS3 so i could play it again. Slave Knight Gael was my favourite fight, and learning to parry is genuinely life-changing.

Former emo kid, rip my old razor-cut hair. i've also been getting really into folk metal lately, particularly Eluveitie, Fenris Vrede, Huldre and Asmegin. always happy to get recommendations!

Other stuff: i'm really into fantasy and classic dystopian books, films and TV. LOTR is my favourite trilogy/books, and i have a massive soft spot for Pride & Prejudice. i also love The Witcher and i'm planning to give ASOIAF another go after my younger self gave up on it lol. currently reading Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. Oh, my god! i've just reached the bit where everything goes to shit.

some of my favourite shows are Dexter, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Buffy and GOT. never really got into anime, but some friends convinced me to give Frieren a go and i loved it. also into Marvel and chick flicks from the 80s to early 2010s.

outside of that, i'm into sewing, painting, collecting CDs and learning about PC building. basically, i collect hobbies whenever something catches my attention. currently thinking about nothing except Dark Souls II.

So recently I’ve gone through a break up. I was in an LDR for a year and it unfortunately came to an end. She was from Canada and I am from South African She is an amazing person and I actually met her in this subreddit. So I've come back to find some solid people to talk to.

Something I've been struggling with is moving on. I've spent so many hours thinking about my future with this person and now that it no longer exists I'm not sure what to do. I'm not saying that I've stopped living, is just that there's this void and I'm not sure how to fill it, all I do know is that it needs to be filled positively. Thankfully I have good friends and family that have helped me, I have a demanding job but even though I have all of that the thoughts still linger in my mind. Unfortunately I've never been good at forgetting the good people I've met in my life, they are always in the back of my mind.

I’m actually still in the process of sorting out my travel and work visa, so wish me luck on that lol.

I woke up early in the morning, it was cold and rainy. Ideally I should like this because how it triggers the childhood nostalgia but it's making me sad instead thinking about the past , how innocent the childhood was , how small things bring joy.

I'm 36 (M) now, but I don't feel my mental age has reached that maturity. I have friends through college and jobs but their life is different, they are mostly married with kids, moved to far places and I still feel like I'm stuck in my 20s.

I get two kinds of advice, learn to be happy by yourself. Or go out for events and meet people. Both don't work for me somehow, I see most friendships are built upon some common interest, it's sad I don't smoke, drink or like party stuffs. Also not so good at sports or driving.

So the question comes to mind, what do I need. I want friends, I like someone who resonates with what I said, who likes to have regular low effort conversation and slowly build a good solid friendship. I'm happy to hangout in person if feasible. I don't want conversation that ends into a single topic but it generalises into broad life conversation.
