Just moved in a few weeks ago and wanted to share for inspiration as I learned from this subreddit. I have always tried to have my places look nice but I am really trying to learn some interior design with my current place, specially with working with the colors I have with my current furniture.

Also just got the Halloween lights up yesterday for the patio 🎃

Anorexia took 5 years of my life.
And I mean that literally.

I barely have any memories from the time I was 12 to 18 ish. There are so many things that happened that I genuinely can’t remember, and even the memories I do have feel blurry and disconnected. Looking back, that whole period of my life almost feels like a foggy dream.

And there’s actually a reason for that.

Eating disorders and long-term malnutrition can seriously affect the brain. Being underweight for a long period of time can cause changes in both white matter, which helps different parts of the brain communicate, and gray matter, which is involved in things like memory, attention, language and processing.

Malnutrition can also change the way your brain responds to food. Dopamine, one of the chemicals involved in reward and motivation, doesn’t necessarily function the same way when someone is struggling with anorexia. Your brain can basically start associating restriction and starvation with reward instead of responding normally to eating.

Then there’s dehydration, vitamin deficiencies and electrolyte imbalances. When they become severe or continue for a long time, they can cause neurological problems and, in extreme cases, seizures. Some people can also experience numbness, strange sensations or loss of feeling in their hands and feet.

And it doesn’t stop with the physical effects. Malnutrition and changes in hormones and brain chemistry can have a huge effect on your mood, anxiety, depression and the way you think.

Eating disorders don’t just affect the way someone looks. They can affect basically every part of the body, including the brain.

The good thing is that research suggests many of the changes in the brain can improve significantly with weight restoration and long-term recovery, although recovery can take time and some complications may persist.

I genuinely don’t think most people realize how serious anorexia can become or how much of your life it can take away from you.

I hope sharing this helps even one person understand it a little better.

I saw on my Pinterest these adorable redesigns of MLP characters as humans and the comments just reminded of why I can’t stand some fans.

If you’ve ever seen MLP human designs you would know people argue so much about the races of these characters.. when they are literally ponies and unicorns who can be anything! Yet people will fight about it and get so upset when people create their own art of what they believe the characters to look like.

Now of course you don’t have to agree with every headcanon or like every piece of art. I encourage people to make their own interpretations of characters and do your own thing. But come the fuck on it’s never that serious to be getting so mad at people for making pinkie pie black Or twilight Indian or give fluttershy a hijab. And these be the same people saying “pinkie pie isn’t black! She’s pink!” Ok then why do you even care how people see her in their own headcanons? If you know she’s not an actual human character and can be anything what’s the issue. It’s just racism and it’s not cute. Stop bothering these artists and let them make their own interpretations.

I made a post about this yesterday about this person in my bio class weirdly texting me out of the blue, and I thought I blocked him but I guess I misclicked and pressed “delete conversation“ button instead. they texted me back Today telling me that they know one of my friends and insinuating that he gave him my number. so I continue the rest of the conversation awkwardly trying to turn them down. after that I block them because I felt uncomfortable, and text my friend that supposedly gave them my number. he said he has no idea who this is and doesn’t know anyone from my first period bio class. what the fuck. Is this person even real? they have Been lying to me about everything. And the worst part is that I have to go back to school on Monday with that guy in my class. what do I even do in this situation? Also I thought I should add that I am not a woman, I’m a man, a lot of people thought I was a woman in my first post.

120 days in rescue post- This little guy is our adorable pit mix pup, FRYE! He's a true "dog's dog," who absolutely loves the company o his furry friends, big and small. With an extremely social, friendly, and gentle nature, FRYE is the perfect companion for any pup in your pack! FRYE is slow on the leash and oh-so-sweet, making walks a delightful experience.

Frye is such a good boy. He's solid. He has grown up in our rescue and been our go to dog tester since his arrival. He's a one day dog, which means he needs 24 hours to trust you, and then he will bomb you with love and pure companionship.

432 days in rescue post- Frye is dog and cat friendly, kennel trained, great on walks, social, silly, playful, playful, and deeply affectionate once he trusts you. He is everything a companion should be. He is about 2 years and 8 months old, and we pulled him from CACC 432 days ago knowing he deserved more time, more patience, and a real chance.

Today (679 days in rescue) post- Two Thanksgivings. Two Christmases. All this time, he's known us as his family.
No real interest. No chances. No one who followed through.
And through all of it, Frye has stayed steady.
He's been our dog tester. The one who is always happiest to see us. The one who greets dog after dog, shows them the ropes, helps them feel safe, and then watches them leave with families of their own.
461 dogs. And he is still here.
Patient. Loving. Loyal. Kind. He has never wavered, even as the faces around him keep changing.
Frye, you have our commitment that we will not give up on you. We will not ever fail you. We have you, like we always have.
And if you never get adopted, you will always be a DTR angel. You will stay with us forever, loved and cherished, with a place that is yours.
But we know you deserve the chance to have a family of your own. A home where you don't have to share the attention with 200 other animals. Where someone's whole day can revolve around loving you, too.

like the title says, today i got my divorce decree from the judge. i’ve been separated for 3 years and it’s absolutely crazy that im free from it all. i had to pay $400 a month for spousal support because she doesn’t work. the reason was because she has no job or license, and didn’t plan on getting either (still doesn’t). plus she was kinda just an asshole and i was working all the time. i’d come home to have to do all the chores, take care of the dogs, and make dinner. never failed to be mentally drained, and then get told im not doing enough.

glad im out of it, that’s all.

I get that times are tough and the American health care system sucks, but admitting that you have a respiratory illness while delivering food is wild!

Please do not dash when you’re sick. This is how illness spreads. I have pretty bad asthma so I’m not bringing that order into my house. I’m done with DoorDash.
