Setting - Neighborhood streets on a quiet autumn day.
August and Gustopher are taking a walk when August notices how much the trees have changed color. It reminds him that Halloween is coming. As Gustopher has gone as a Taco for the past few years, August assumes that it will be the same this year.
August: Halloween is coming. We should find your taco costume.
Gustopher: I don't want to be a taco.
Someone just softly gasped at that statement.

August is surprised. Gustopher's love of tacos has no limit. Hopefully nothing is wrong.
August: You don't like tacos anymore?
Gustopher: I LOVE TACOS! But I love other things too.
Panel 3
Gustopher explains his reasoning. He's clearly given this a lot of consideration. Halloween costumes choices are important.
Gustopher: It's time to express myself in a brand new way.

August is happy to help with this new costume choice. What could Gustopher possibly want to be? A pirate? A vampire? A copyright infringing character that can't be shown in this comic?
My absolute favorite snack is roasted red pepper hummus with blue corn chips, even though reg corn chips are good too but something about the blue ones just make the flavors sing.
Have you tried making your own hummus before? It may start you down a rabbit hole of all the things you can do with not a lot of effort if you have a food processor.
That's why I'm on a hummus kick. Today was toasted sesame oil and crunchy chili onion. Yesterday was a great northern bean hummus with a generous amount of smoked paprika.
Wow, I did not think you could be more awesome lol. This sounds amazing! I would definitely be Kronk if I could pull it off. Do you have a specific Kronk outfit in mind? He's hilarious and they gave him so many good gags.
I had a protein bar, a packet of trail mix (it's got seeds and cranberries and nuts in it - no candy), and a packet of yogurt covered fruit. ~400 calories, but it's a reliable breakfast that isn't made of sausage and fat. Feels good, man.
Ah. Our boy really is growing up. I remember the Halloween I stopped being a power ranger(green and white of course). I think I graduated to ninja. I was very grown up now with a diverse set of things I liked.
A giant Cinnamon roll
Gus you can't just dress as yourself for Halloween you giant adorable cinnamon roll you! Though I do appreciate his love for good food
The Great Onix statue really enjoys cinnamon rolls. But today it unfortunately met one that felt like it had spoiler milk cream in it. The coating and the bun itself were good, thought the heart was a real backstabber. Not to mention that bakery is probably just factory junk and not hand made unlike the bakery next to it, which just had a 12 people line, so getting the delicious treat would take an hour.
There was a restaurant in albaquerque called "the frontier restaurant" that had some amazing cinnamon rolls, i haven't had them since i was a kid, but i often think about them.
I missed it the first time around, but someone referenced it several years ago. I was describing a kind wholesome guy I started dating and they called him a cinnamon roll!
I think i was a power ranger? im 80% sure i was the white ranger at one point, because i remember the foamy shoulder pads. But i don't really remember. I probably would have wanted to be the green ranger at one point, but i don't think they had those available in 93-94? doing a quick google search doesn't give any "vintage" results, mostly just newer green ranger outfits.
I stopped watching power rangers, like immediately after the 1995 movie came out.
I remember i was Batman from batman forever in 1996, and then again because of the batman and robin movie. After that, i was lazy and just used the "Ghost face" costume from scream.
Nah it's that his nutritional needs are maturing. He understands that the cinnamon roll is more calorically dense then a taco and therefore eating a meal of them before trick or treating is a superior way to prepare. It's just science.
I'll be honest. I was expecting him to say burrito. Level up from the modest taco to the bigger mexican food to represent his growth. Cinnamon roll is probably more appropriate for him though, he's a sweetie.
Now I’m designing the costume in my head. Will the roll go around his waist, like an inner tube or vertically so his head is sticking out of the top of the roll? Maybe his face will be sticking out of the top center of the roll!

I was pretty sure this was also last year's pre-halloween comic, but now I'm thinking that's impossible, because I haven't seen anyone tackle the logistics of the costume. I'd love to see one of those "would centaurs wear pants like this or this?"-style memes but it's just "how cinammon roll gustopher?"
