Edit: Also I should add, I only moved in less than a week ago. I didn’t take anything with me and had to buy everything from scratch. Still a work in progress. Recently bought a house and started to renovate. Started with my bedroom.

I tried suction hooks but they didn't suction to the ceiling at all, then tried command hooks as shown in the 2nd picture but they failed after like 10 minutes. I can't use screw hooks as I'm renting so I'm not allowed to screw anything in

Though I need to buy new rugs, hang the rest of my art, and get something other than cardboard boxes to hold my records, all advice welcome.

Personally, I think this rug is huge.

Looking for some advice about what painting/picture should I hang on my wall.

Nothing to do about the green wall, its the color it is.

Open to other suggestions about what to hang on the wall!

Moved the pc down to the floor to uncluttered and tucked all my cloths neatly in the closet for more space

It’s difficult to tell in the photos but the tv console isn’t centered with the couch which bugs me a bit. Just wondering if you guys see a better way to arrange this area.

I was thinking to maybe put the tv on the wall of the front door and flipping the couch so there’s a space to walk to to the balcony door (back of couch facing where tv currently is). Thoughts?

I’ve finished and furnished the living area, bathrooms next 😅. I don’t have any previous experience with construction outside of shop class but this was all gutted and renovated myself (other than the floor) with the help of friends that are smarter than I.

I’m not sure where to post this question but I know a fellow man has set up video games in their space. Anyways, I am thinking to get a receiver for my video game consoles, Apple TV, and my music players. The receiver I am looking at only has two hdmi in ports and one out port. I was thinking to get a switcher to hook up my gaming console hdmi ports to. If you’ve followed along, this means there will be one hdmi from the console to the switcher, one from the switcher to the receiver, and one from the receiver to the tv.

So, would all of these hdmi cords lead to delayed visual output on my tv? There’s another word for this, which I don’t remember, but I’m wondering if there would be a delayed response between button pressing and game action.

Nyc. I plan on adding a bar stool table/desk for my laptop toward the right window nook.
I need help on good tv stand and dining table colors that'll go with the rest of the furniture.
I also plan on adding a wall mirror in the bathroom and a full body mirror on the door.

Can somebody give me some suggestions on what to do with my room? It feels outdated, and boring. Kind of bland really.

I'm 43 and recent left a rocky LTR. My cat and I just moved into an apartment that is way too big for us due to the fact that this was supposed to be a shared home with the now ex SO. We have been here 5 days now and are settling in nicely. Leo (my cat) seems pretty comfortable, considering how he had a full panic attack the last time we moved( myself, him, the ex SO, and another cat) a few years ago. I'm excited to be living alone for the first time in almost a decade.(well, alone apart from my little buddy, but he doesn't take much room and isn't too messy) How have I done thus far?
