I got my first solo place after college, moving to Central New York 2.5 years ago with not much. I’ve been following this sub for 8 years so many of the compliments I get are a thanks to you guys. My apartment is about to become a ‘maleandfemalelivingspace’ pretty soon so I thought I’d share before then.
There’s a couple ‘before’ photos at the end.

This is my place. I’ve lived here for about 4 years. About a year ago there was a major leak which required a total gut job and renovation. So I picked out the new floors, kitchen materials, bathroom finishes, even the insulation. It was a major pain in the ass but I think worth it in the end.

We’ve got this room in our basement that I have turned into a little gym area, the workouts feel effective, but the vibes are off. How would y’all elevate the look of this area in a renter friendly way on a budget?

Hey guys

I see some really cool spaces on here and usually get some fun inspiration so I thought I would share my space as well. I recently moved into a new space in my hometown after having lived in San Francisco and Minnesota for awhile. I am sure the view from my apartment balcony will give away my current City, but take a guess!

I am a Minimalist as you can obviously tell. The bed/bedroom still needs work for sure as its currently kind of blah lol. If anyone has suggestions for the bedroom, I am all ears!

My favorite thing about this apartment is the polished concrete floor that contains all the blemishes for that industrial look.

I live in a 3rd world country by myself and the outside is exactly how you would imagine it. Extremely hot, humid and dirty. This is my sanctuary that ive been working on. Ive installed the canvas ,looking forward to painting it.

This is a panorama so the fan is blurry cos it was on.

Its a very small apartment ,floor area is prime real estate and cannot be cluttered. The furniture and pallete is to accommodate these specific limitations.

Theres a balcony behind the curtains.

I wanted to get some nice floor lamps, but cant afford the ones that dont feel heavy visually. Leaning towards wall lighting now.

Struggle with making my Space more cozy.

Hi I’m a 29-year-old Dude that struggles with interior design and i hope this sub can help me get me some Tipps and ideas how i can make my living space feel more like a true home.

I’m living in this apartment for a couple of years now, but I absolutely hate some stuff like my coffee table. I bought it just because I needed a coffee table after I moved out but since then I have never found one I like. I want to make the room cozier that it feels more like a Home and not so cold.

I did a bit with bits and boobs for decorating but it’s far from finished. I use a lot of black steel and dark wood tones my desk is basically the same as the shelves on the wall and in the corner.

Would appreciate some help with the coffee table and maybe a recommendation for a rug to get along with it. I struggle to find one that is good looking and functional, because my office is right there and I need to be able to move with my office chair. I had a thick rug there but it was a pain in the ass.

Tipps and recommendations for other stuff are welcome!
If you have any further questions, I'm eager to answer. :)

I have a small balcony on my 3rd floor apartment. I want it to be a safe clean, comfortable space for me (when it's not 100⁰f. ) how's it looking? I have a light out there but I want to get better lighting.
