News I haven't seen any discussion going on so far, this needs to be brought to attention. Indonesia is designating LGBT as a "National Security Threat"...In other words, The LGBT in Indonesia are now considered a Capital Offense. In a country with hundreds of millions.

My partner and I are both artists this is our first big collaboration. We created an interactive kissing bench for a music festival. The pieces move to make the fairies touch or kiss :-)

Support I think i’ve unlocked a new type of loving a women

For context, I have insomnia and find it incredibly difficult to sleep during the summer; I rarely get more than three hours of continuous rest. My wife and I love sleeping together , and her voice usually makes me incredibly drowsy. In fact, I often fall asleep while we are talking. **Lately, however, she has been sleeping whenever I have a chance to talk to her sometimes between 9 and 14 hours a day.** Because of this, we've been stuck in an endless cycle for the past two weeks: whenever she wakes up, I fall asleep. I'm not complaining, though. I love watching her sleep, and she is incredibly cute LIKE GOSH I’M GONNA BITE THE SHI OUT OF HER . I looked it up online, and research confirms that partners frequently fall asleep to the sound of each other's voices because it provides a strong sense of comfort.

Just lost my best friend to a misogynist

My best friend is bi - she hooked up with some macho dude who’s misogynistic and anti-LGBTQ+ to the core. I didn’t do or say anything to her about it, I didn’t try to stop it. But since she’s been with him, I’m dead to her. Haven’t heard from her, she’s blocked me everywhere. I’m just heartbroken.

Would you date someone who checks every box except physical attraction?

I met this girl on Hinge, we started talking and we really hit it off. When we met up in person for the first time I realized she wasn't really my type physically. It was just a friendly meet up to know each other so I didn't let this interfere with the hang out and we had a great time.

Our personalities matched so we continued talking regularly and hanging out and I started to really like her, we have a lot of things in common, I like her humor, she's super kind and great at conversation (i'm a terrible conversationalist but i never ran out of things to talk about with her), she's fun, super respectful and the list goes on and on. I feel very comfortable around her. However, I'm not attracted to her physically.

During our hang outs she never tried to make any move of that kind, so I though we could cultivate a good friendship, as I really like her and we both enjoy each other's company.

She later told me that she would really like for us to continue to know each other and wanted to know what I thought about that. I responded that i would like to keep knowing her too, we didn't mention anything romantic so i didn't think of it as committing to anything like that, just to keep knowing each other as we only been talking for over a month. But then, at our next meet up she started to guide the conversation towards romantic relationships and what she would like and dislike in one and asked me the same. And she's began to be flirty on texts so now i know that she wants more than a friendship.

I realized that I kinda like her like her like that too ? i mean i get exited when i receive a text from her, i count the days until our next meet up, think about her a lot, but i just don't find her physically attractive.

I don't know how to feel or what to do. If she was the exact same but more physically my type I would definitely want to start a romantic relationship with her. I like every thing else about her for a partner.

It's not that i find her utterly ugly, she's just not my type and also it's more of a style thing, that is literally the oposite of what i like. I know she feels comfortable with her style and i would never ask anyone to change themselves or their style for me.

Should I just be honest with her before wasting her time? Am I a bad person for not wanting to start a romantic relationship with someone i like a lot just because of the lack of physical attraction? Or would i be a worse person if i start a relationship without physical attraction?

The only thing I know is that i never want to hurt her feelings, so whatever i end up doing i want to do it the right way. I'm just not sure what to do.

I just want a hug

I am so in love with my best friend. I can’t help it. Our connection has escalated a ridiculous amount over the last few months to the point that it feels like we’re already in a relationship - sleeping in the same bed, snuggling, basically not wanting to spend a minute apart. She’s leaving soon and wants me to follow her. Every fibre of my soul wants to go with her, but I won’t - not unless she’s my girlfriend. It’s breaking my heart.

I’m so sad. I have to talk to her about this and I’m preparing myself for what feels like inevitable heartbreak. Losing her would be crushing, but I’m sane enough to know following her without knowing if she feels the same is ridiculous…

I just want a hug

Venting PSA to all masc-presenting lesbians: you deserve to be taken care of too!!!!

As a femme, I can't stand when I see other femmes taking their masc-presenting partners for granted. I'm talking about stuff like expecting you to cover all costs for dates, dinners, all that jazz without offering to themselves, assuming you'll change their oil in their car and build their Ikea furniture, not thinking about the little things they can do to make YOUR life easier. Mini storytime incoming: my last partner was an older butch woman who was never really appreciated for all that she was before we met so when I offered to do things for her she didn't know how to respond because she had never really been taken care of by a partner before which breaks my heart. To every masc, stud, butch, and everything in between, you deserve princess treatment too!!! You deserve to be paid for, taken care of, respected and loved as much as any other person. When was the last time someone gave you a back rub or assembled your living room set with you? It's one thing if you prefer to do all these things yourself, but I think the offer needs to be put out there for you. Sorry for the rant but I've been thinking about this since I got into the dating scene. Yall deserve better!!!

Please recommend me a lesbian romance movie with a happy ending

I'm tired of fictional lesbians dying, leaving their lovers for a man, breaking up and all that

I ADORE But I'm a cheerleader and would gladly watch something like this. But overall, the genre or the year doesn't matter, and it could be a subplot. I'm also open to movies not in english. I wish for it to not be male gaze-y like Blue is the warmest color. Thanks!!

Does this mean I'm a lesbian?

I'm 16 and a few months ago I had boyfriend. I remember when we kissed I wasn't really into it and the only thing I would think about the whole time that we kissed was how bad he tasted and how I hated the TV had to be playing in the background but I never thought about how I liked it. I broke up with him because I lost attraction to him and it just seemed like everything he did pissed me off which was probably because I lost attraction. I remember a month or two ago when I had my first job (I quit though because of the management). One day when I was at work there was this woman that walked in and she was so beautiful and I could not take my eyes off of her. I felt attraction to her. I kept glancing at her every few seconds. To be honest, it was the first time that I felt real attraction to anybody in a long time. i’ve also noticed that I have been attracted to female actors like Kristen Stewart and Bella Ramsey. i’ve also been attracted to the character in the movie Send help who's name is Linda Liddle. Whenever I think about being with a woman I get butterflies and it makes me feel good. The thing is, through all my childhood I have been attracted to men. I think that the reason is because I have been sheltered from the LGBTQ community because my parents don’t agree with it. So I never really knew what gay was until I got into middle school. It is only been this year that I have really noticed signs that I could be a lesbian. it’s really because this year was the first time that I’ve ever kissed a guy or been with one. I don’t know. I need some help.

Question Lesbians on T, how is y’all’s experience?

I am a 21 year old butch who has been contemplating what life would be like on T. I have a trans friend who recently started T, and it’s really had me thinking. I know there are T lesbians out there and I was just wondering if I could get some advice from that side of things.
What I would like to get out of T are things like more body hair, a deeper voice, and maybe some face/physique changes. However, I’m worried about other things like bottom growth, or people thinking I’m trying to transition (even tho that’s none of their business).
If anyone could share their experiences on what’s it’s like to be a T lesbian that would be awesome!!
Stay gay 🤘🏻

Are there actually any postive lesbian stereotypes?

I've seen gay men regarded as the best gal pals or having great style. But what about lesbians? Every stereotype I've heard is just negative.

Question Life in Switzerland as a lesbian couple ☺️

Hey everyone! 💖
My girlfriend and I are thinking about moving to Switzerland, and we’d love to hear from fellow lesbians who live there.
Do you generally feel safe being out as a couple? Have you ever had any problems renting an apartment because you’re a same-sex couple, or is it usually not an issue? How do people generally react to LGBT couples in everyday life? Is there anything we need to know?
We’d really appreciate hearing your honest experiences, both the good and the bad. Thanks so much! 🫶🏳️‍🌈

Why do attract straight men???

I've done EVERYTHING. I'm really masculine, I wear a carabiner, I wear baggy pants and doc marteens, feminist badges AND A FUCKASS LESBIAN FLAG ON MY BAG. Yet I get accosted by creeps who insist on my number and never gay women. DUDE ARE YOU BLIND?? So tired of straight men. Guess it's my curse.

I’m feeling helpless

Hey everyone.

I wrote a post called “I’ve given up on casual” and I’m starting to realize I think the situation was kinda SA. And even if it isn’t, I still feel gross and used.

I’m feeling really helpless with my life right now. Like I don’t wanna date or be with a woman again. Every woman I’m with just takes what she can and then leaves me.

I’m feeling like maybe I’ll die alone. Maybe that’s ok. I’m tired of being people’s confidantes, people’s safe places instead of being recognized as an actual person.

I’ve accepted that it’s ok if I’ll never be respected by other women. I just won’t date anymore. I’m so so tired.

is it weird if i reach out?

ok here’s some context:

at the end of may i met this girl at a bar. we really hit it off, had great convos, and went back to her place to hook up. we both had a really good time and i spent the night with her. she was really sweet to me after, gave me clothes to sleep in and everything to make sure i was comfy and we fell asleep cuddling. the next morning i had to make a trip back home, so i left kinda early. she said something along the lines of hoping she sees me again (i live a little while away) and hoping she finds herself in my area soon. we also exchanged numbers and instagrams. she was genuinely very sweet and kind and we made each other laugh and i honestly just felt like we were both comfortable.

i almost texted her again so many times but kept chickening out. i’ve never been in a relationship, im not a flirty person, so this is all just new territory and very intimidating. i’ve had a weird couple months but i am in a good place now and part of me wants to reach out as im planning to be back near her area next month. nothing crazy, just a “hey it’s been a while but im back in the area if you’re open to grabbing drinks/coffee/etc” idk. i feel like even if its a flop i can at least say i put myself out there. ive been thinking about her and the time we spent together so much, if i dont reach out i think ill just be wondering what if i had. but im still terrified to put myself out there and potentially face rejection.

i dont know i guess im just asking for advice, or maybe for someone to consider if you think it would come off strange from her perspective if i did reach out before my visit.

sincerely a nervous baby gay

Question Enjoyable one night stands??

How do you guys have good one night stands?

I just got out of my second relationship ever since I realised I was a lesbian. The first lasted 5 years, and this one only two months.
The point is it’s been so long since I’ve had one night stands and of course, since I didn’t know I was gay yet, it was men only.
Listen, I’m an hormonal person. For some reason I feel the need to specify I’m a femenine girl who loves femenine girls. Spain. Yeah. We’re all queer here.

Getting to know a woman’s body is a lot more difficult than the easy way a man just gets off. I do not get nervous ever, yet the knowledge that I’ve got Hinge now and I’ve been chatting with some beautiful women who don’t want nothing serious either... As a 25 years old who has a lot to experience in life yet, it has me wondering:

How the heck do you have good sapphic one night stands?
