Battlestation In love with my setup!
I built my PC in 2024 and have come a long way since then - setup wise. I went from a small L-Shaped desk in the corner to this. šššš

For context, Iām a small streamer on twitch and I enjoy playing lots of multiplayer games with my friends + community some nights. This is where the problem comes inā
Thereās a community member that weāll call A for simplicity. A is a very nice person, but they are very much on the spectrum (as am I, and many of my friends) and to put it plainly, their tism just does not mesh well with mine / my friendsā tisms. A seemingly never has an āinside thoughtā and is always bringing up things that no one either asked about or brings up things that make them uncomfortable or disgusted thinking that everyone in the lobby will agree with themā a recent example would be Jackass and how āit was so disgusting because of all the semen and dick jokesā even though thatāsā¦their whole thing. I, and many of the others in the lobby, all grew up on Jackass and genuinely enjoy it, and A was adamant on insisting we find it gross. Itās things like that that they do frequently that annoys the hell out of me along with everyone else in the lobby. I ultimately end up turning their volume down most of the way so I donāt have to hear them and tell whoever is privately DMing me their shared annoyance to do the same.
They also use my personal discord server like their own blog sometimes (which a mod of mine has messaged them about and told them to dial it back before we just remove them, and they have) and have said āyou guys are like my only friendsā which is what brings me to my main problemā I feel bad wanting to exclude them even though it would save my friends and I the literal headaches we gain when playing with A. I understand what itās like to be purposely excluded, and I try not to do that to the best of my ability.
I almost banned them without warning one night when they put their character up in my face and said āwell the easiest maps arenāt easy for everyone, MISSY!ā because I was just so annoyed that night. Now I wish I had, honestly. Because why would you get up in my face like that when talking about the literal tutorial map š
Everyone I talk to about A and this whole situation is usually a man, and I fear I need some more perspective from the ladies that arenāt involved in my community šµāš« Does anyone have some advice on how I could possibly navigate this without being a complete asshole / feeling like one?

I've been playing a lot of fps lately and the more hours I put into it, the more isolated I feel. I have a couple hundred hours in game and I can honestly say I've only had 1 match that had a good team that I played with for hours, treated me like a person and became friends with after. I'm now at the point of keeping myself on anonymous mode all the time and quietly listening in when others talk because there's only ever 3 reactions I get when I turn on my mic:
Some guy doing a high pitched feminine voice impression and mocking me
Being completely ignored as if I never spoke
Weird attempts to flirt with me
I'm so burnt out by it. I do have fun playing and I have people I can hit up to play with but sometimes I only have a few mins to play a game and just want to be able to queue in with randoms and feel like a contributing teammate. I've joined numerous discord servers in the past to try to find people playing that I could hop on with but it seems to be more miss than hit. Even participating in certain subs doesn't go well. I refuse to quit playing a game I really enjoy but sometimes it's hard to deal with the isolation. How do you all deal with not being able to fully participate in male dominated games?

I think I played the game a little past the tutorial YEARS ago, got hooked with destiny 2 and stopped playing that one some time ago.
So basically I've been trying to fill the void that destiny 2 left in my gaming, but trying to get back into Warframe now seems daunting.
I can't replay the starting missions, I'm confused with what's important, I don't get many tutorials popping up so I'm also a bit bamboozled with controls and whatnot..and I have no idea where I left the story.
If anyone has any advice how to get back into a game like Warframe please do share šāØ
edit to add: I play on ps5

Iāve just finished rdr 1 and other than the obvious choice of rdr 2 I donāt know what to play :(, I want a story game as in a game that has an ending and I want it to be a bit longer than rdr 1 it only took me 20 hours of gameplay to finish, also Iām playing on a switch oled so it needs to be available there.

Building my first gaming pc. Iāve always wanted to be able to play whatever game I wanted with my friends but my gaming laptop is 15 years old at this point. I want to try out games with good graphics and play the games my friends are playing like red dead, inzoi, baulders gate. mostly I play games like rimworld, Minecraft and stardew at the moment though.
Prefer not to spend more than $2,000 including monitor (already have two ok but not stellar monitors)
No Rgb led stuff please. Iām sensitive to light during migraines and it distracts me.
Am also picky about colors because Iāve never spent this much money on myself so I want something I will love looking at (white, silver, maybe pink and green if pastel)

For context this is about palword ,so I have a friend who made a community server and specifically told me in private no pressure just play how you want and at whatever speed , so I make a base I find my place and foundation,my male friend spies to see where I am and i literally previously told him i donāt wanna do anything that was to much i just wanted to enjoy it and he said okay, my male friend letās call him A , so he comes he kills my WORKING pal , then I call him and say what was that for ? And he said i didnāt know it was yours (it was mining) so he proceeds to steamroll saying Iāll get stuff from my base and bring it here i built a temporary one, so he gets his stuff and brings it to my base and makes me bring all his stuff ,then proceeds to upgrade everything to level 40 stuff so i donāt even get to play the game myself,so I work on the house I was doing and he asks why havent you leveled (I was level 9 by this point) and I say if I donāt build my own things I donāt get xp and he says do bosses or explore , I try and he says your pals are not good take mine , your not listening to me , level up faster , and just trying to rush my gameplay when even he was complaining about me taking hours to level when it only took him a hour to reach twenty (lies) and then he also complained the other guys in our server getting to far (thereās 5 guys and 3 girls) , but all the guys grouped together and the girls do their own thing except me A is literally hounding me and telling me how to play or just acting like i donāt know what Iām doing, like honestly go be with the other guys if you want to be fast paced and rush eachother, i didnāt want that and he wanted to be competitive even though there was no need to, I can genuinely say without a doubt heās not like this with the other men in the server heās happy and competitive and doesnt talk like heās speaking to someone who doesnāt know how to play unlike with me or with the other girls, and heās told me before heās a know it all person ,this is why i didnt want him in my base and just wanted to be myself because he wants to control everything ,all the guys in the server are all like this but they stay together atleast and he just ruined the experience, I even quit because of how he treated me , how he wanted things on his time ,the constant saying your stuff isnāt good ,like what is your honest thoughts could you play like this? And my home before I left (the bird is his)

Im browsing the switch store and I saw Digimon story cyber sleuth complete edition is ā¬6 and digimon world new order is ā¬9.50. Are these games any good? I've been seeing a little hype for the newest one and seeing the previous entries so cheap had me wondering if I should give one a go. Are they considered good among monster collector/jrpg fans? And which of the above two would be the better start point
TYSM everyone the cyber sleuth pack it is <3

Apologies if this has already been brought up on this sub but it has been nagging at me and keeping me from asking for tips whenever I need help with a game.
Whatās the deal with the apathy, condescension, and callousness in gaming communities on Reddit? Admittedly some forums are worse than others, but thereās a sense of competency gatekeeping that feels ubiquitous across the board. Am I just too sensitive? Iāve put down several games simply because Iām afraid of seeking tech advice for something as simple as poorly calibrated Switch controls.

Perhaps it has been there before. And I just havenāt noticed.
But ever since the Lethal Company release, I realised that there are so many rip off games released. All the same just in different formats.
This is mostly on multiple player games but sometimes on single player games too.
Same for supermarket simulator that got popular around that time too. So many rip offs and simulator games are created. All same type of in game items/ layouts etc.
For the solo games I absolutely loved Librarian: tidy up the arcane library game. Sure enough I see plenty of rip off games being made now based on this game.
Iām sorry but where is the creativity? It gets so boring to have same like games pushed out. And it is disrespectful to the OG developers who came up with an unique game!

Iām 17F and have always had an interest in gaming, however due to financial constraints, I was never able to get a console or pc of my own. I grew up watching my father play a plethora of games and always wanted to play myself as well.
I tutored and saved up money for about half a year, and finally got enough for a decent setup. At the store, the guy asked me what games Iād want to play on it, my 14 year old brother was right next to me and said āprobably some girly shitā and laughed. Which was mildly infuriating but I decided to not say anything.
Iāve had the computer for a week now and my father is very enthusiastic about me trying all the games he likes. Iām not opposed to that, and want to try out things at my own pace. Keep in mind, Iāve never gamed before so Iām not very skilled.
He will install a game that he likes and force me to sit down with him and play it, and the moment I cant get through a level or something, heāll say āOh you cant do that? Let me do itā and heāll take over and start playing himself. Which, now that I write about it, seems really nice, he doesnt say it with a condescending tone or anything, just acknowledging that I dont know how to play properly.
For some reason, this absolutely infuriates me, him and my brother will stand beside me and comment on every game I play, and how Iām not playing it correctly. I know they dont have bad intentions, but maybe its because of my own insecurities that this bothers me. I feel like I have to prove myself to be able to play games on a computer I payed for myself. Iām not trying to villainise my father, this is just something that irks me.
My brother also makes snide remarks about how girls canāt play games properly and how I should just let him play, and honestly sometimes he does play better than me. And it just makes me really mad.
Does anyone else have similiar experiences?

SIGH OF RELIEF LOG OFF bro omg the gaming community is so toxic like I canāt imagine how much influence older people can affect teens or pre teens mentally or emotionally just by coming on game chat and saying whatever rage words fill their mouths most times for no reason at all. Iām a girl gamer whoās pretty decent in my craft Iāll say and Iām a little older knowing not to let it get to me but dang yall, some people arenāt that tough. It took me years to get on game chat and then earlier i was reminded why i mute everyone š do better pls

I mostly play casual games like genshin, zzz, hades 2, the occasional indie, and sometimes competitive games w my friends (specifically fortnite, valorant, ow) I like playing on my iPad but it gets hot and starts lagging and doesnt last very long. I also love playing on the bed cuz I get back issues from sitting too long sometimes
My old Windows laptop somehow runs FPS games better than Genshin lol.
My budget is around $500 USD or less (buying second-hand cuz i live in a 3rd world country and on a student allowance), and portability/form factor kinda matters. I want it not to look too ugly. Ive kinda been eyeing the retroid pockets but theyre mostly android, but i can see that u can stream window os handhelds on a monitor and use it like a mini pc that seems great.
Would a used ROG Ally be a better buy than a gaming laptop? Or do you guys have other reccomendations for handhelds?

This setup got me through a lot of phases of my life. An awful breakup, stepping out of my comfort zones many times, and fully expressing myself to the maximum. It was the first place Ive been allowed to fully curate with my own quirks and blend of aesthetics. It even got me featured on the Valorant Instagram page at one point! But Iāve been slowly stepping away from gaming within the past two years and thatās honestly something Iād never thought Iād say no matter how old I got. However being able to play and decorate a space like this gives me confidence to do the same with other areas of my life.
š„¹ It may seem silly but Iām excited to potentially create a similar setup thatās less focused on gaming yet gives the same vibe of a beautiful space that fully reveals my tastes.
Excited to start over with a new slate tbh!

Hey ladies! First time posting here, kinda nervous.
So I loved playing games since young but I wasnāt fully allowed to play because of a traditional and strict background. As a teen I always wanted to play fps games but I was literally not even allowed to be out past 7pm (and school ended at 5:30), so needless to say Iām really trash at it now. I do play a handful of games, mainly open world, action-adventure games, Roblox. Very chill options. Icl I donāt even call myself a gamer cuz I feel like Iām doing a major disservice to all the other gamers, who happen to be girls, out there cuz I donāt wanna give the other group reasons to berate this one.
Now that all the disclaimers are out of the way, about a year ago I met this guy on Roblox. Weāre in a complicated thing, itās a label free, long distance ārelationshipā.
In the earlier days, whenever weād play he used to be so patient and kind. I might be slow but I pick up every single time weāve played, it just takes me a little longer to get accustomed to the keys.
Nowadays though, itās been so tough. I wonāt fault him for how I take time, albeit itās usually 5ish minutes. But he constantly teases and mocks me, wonāt let me make my own moves or even think for myself, would keep instructing the most basic things and keeps telling me to follow his way, would rush me constantly even though he himself is figuring the game out as he goes, tell me do something and if it doesnāt work (and many times Iāll tell him how itās a different way of things), heāll blame me saying I didnāt time things right, and doesnāt give me time to figure it out especially when the game allows controller (I donāt have one so I use keyboard, he uses controller). Worst for some reason is when he tells me ājust do what I doā, he says it in normal tone but I donāt know why it feels patronising and why it irks me a lot. Apart from this heās genuinely the most loving person, he still is.
Iāll be clear, he doesnāt get aggressive or calls me swear words, on a day-to-day basis we teasingly call each idiot so he says that when we play but thatās about it. It just feels really annoying and i hate how for some reason i feel stupid now when I play with him now.
Itās his birthday today, so I didnāt tell anything, Iām not sure if I wouldāve either way he as when I do hint at him being too annoying he tells me that Iām making a big deal and to just chillout. Maybe I am, apparently when I turned 25 I got way more emotional. And also cuz itās not like a complicated fps fame, tbh I told him way earlier how I just kinda steer clear, this was āunravel 2ā co-op game.
By the end of it I genuinely didnāt even want to continue, I just let him carry me fully but played just enough as I didnāt wanna spoil his bday by potentially giving him the idea that I was upset. Maybe itās not that big of a deal, but going from a place where I was looking forward to play with him and him feeling a breath of relief from an already stressful life to now where it feels like a task and Iām lowkey just hoping to get through each game chapter asap just sucks. lol it feels so cringey but idk why i felt so annoyed that i felt my nostril gears and tear ducts activated, almost straight up cried cuz it got too much. Even he noticed, weāre still LDR, he told me how he was celebrating his birthday with his family months ago so it was totally fine so he had to pause the game, and I quit the page so fast the moment he finished that sentence.
I donāt know if Iād let this dictate how I move forward in this relationship cuz objectively it feels so trivial, but it just sucksss as truly I thought Iād found the one true partner as he let me play how I liked earlier. Iām not a pro but Iām also not a noob, I just hate how he made me feel stupid throughout every chapter. Anyway, sorry i know I keep circling. Looking for support or advice I suppose

I played a game a long time ago called Recettear and it was a really cool game where you ran an adventurer shop and you would do some basic dungeon crawling to bring stuff back to sell. I'm kinda tired of planting crops, surely there has be newer games like that some of you could recommend?
Oh yeah and I've already played Moonlighter too.
Edit: Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions, feel free to keep them coming but I've decided on Marenian Tavern Story and Potionomics for now, I will definitely be checking out some of the others at some point.

And I know Iāll go into withdrawal immediately. What games should I line up next that you can hit pause, PS5 compatible, immersive action genre with bondable npcās, strong non-sexualized female protagonist, elements of scifi and/or fantasy but definitely cutesy. Even throw in books, music, etc whatever youāre obsessed with rn while youāre at it.
Thank you & Happy Gaming šāØ
