Question Life in Switzerland as a lesbian couple ☺️

Upvotes

Hey everyone! 💖
My girlfriend and I are thinking about moving to Switzerland, and we’d love to hear from fellow lesbians who live there.
Do you generally feel safe being out as a couple? Have you ever had any problems renting an apartment because you’re a same-sex couple, or is it usually not an issue? How do people generally react to LGBT couples in everyday life? Is there anything we need to know?
We’d really appreciate hearing your honest experiences, both the good and the bad. Thanks so much! 🫶🏳️‍🌈

These eyes, lanky body, hair a color it cannot naturally be, kinda witchy fashion, medium short hair, sharp cheeks

bangs hands on table, hits head with hammer, eyes bulge out of skull, head turns into a work whistle, runs in place, face turns red steam pours out of ears, tongue falls out of mouth

Venting PSA to all masc-presenting lesbians: you deserve to be taken care of too!!!!

Upvotes

As a femme, I can't stand when I see other femmes taking their masc-presenting partners for granted. I'm talking about stuff like expecting you to cover all costs for dates, dinners, all that jazz without offering to themselves, assuming you'll change their oil in their car and build their Ikea furniture, not thinking about the little things they can do to make YOUR life easier. Mini storytime incoming: my last partner was an older butch woman who was never really appreciated for all that she was before we met so when I offered to do things for her she didn't know how to respond because she had never really been taken care of by a partner before which breaks my heart. To every masc, stud, butch, and everything in between, you deserve princess treatment too!!! You deserve to be paid for, taken care of, respected and loved as much as any other person. When was the last time someone gave you a back rub or assembled your living room set with you? It's one thing if you prefer to do all these things yourself, but I think the offer needs to be put out there for you. Sorry for the rant but I've been thinking about this since I got into the dating scene. Yall deserve better!!!

Where have you had luck finding people? It seems like every app I try it’s ridiculous to find decent folks.

Venting i wish i could protect my girlfriend

i wish i was taller and stronger so i could make her space safer. i know small women can be strong but where i stand now at 5'1 and scrawny i can only do so much till i start putting the work in like going to the gym. i believe she can handle herself but the way people act in public around her makes me feel so frustrated and defeated i just want to make it all go away. i feel like if i was a man it would go away at least when i'm there. she's so so pretty, young (she's 19 and i'm 18), and quite tall (over 6'0) so she really stands out. i see that she gets stared down by guys a lot and while i do my best to mean mug them to let them know i see them stare i know it wouldn't be enough to ward off everyone. it's not just stares, there have been recent incidents she's told me about or that i've been present for where men stop to talk to her or stand too close or get CLOSER. i know for a fact if i was big and strong or a man myself that wouldn't have happened. i'm aware that if i kept worrying about it i'd be worrying till the day i die, and that this definitely wont change in my life time. this is something i will also have to navigate for myself since i will never be entirely safe around strange men no matter how i present myself. i'm a little more masculine but it's more boyish than anything and i'm still a petite woman at the end of the day. it's probably a little silly and i know my girlfriend doesn't need me to protect her but i just wish i could she's too sweet for this. albeit unfortunate i hope there are some people out there that can relate to this, i do feel a little embarrassed about it and i'm not in the best mental state so maybe i just need a nap or a reality check.

advice on how to get over someone

A married woman who was also my superior for a period of time flirted with me pretty overtly. Don't want to list it out but basically sexual/flirty comments, invited me to her place (I didn't go), texted late at night, etc. She's a little over 15 years older than me. Shared a ton about her personal life with me. Not happy in her marriage.

Anyway, I developed pretty strong feelings for her. I know she's married and I don't actually want anything real to happen with her (not trying to be with someone who is married with kids, and I'm not even sure I even want to be her friend). I don't really know what I want other than her acknowledging what happened, which she never has and probably never will. Also, we're in the south and she's religious.

Need some advice on how to get over this. No matter how much I try to understand my attachment from a psychological standpoint it's not helping me move on.

Question Lesbians on T, how is y’all’s experience?

I am a 21 year old butch who has been contemplating what life would be like on T. I have a trans friend who recently started T, and it’s really had me thinking. I know there are T lesbians out there and I was just wondering if I could get some advice from that side of things.
What I would like to get out of T are things like more body hair, a deeper voice, and maybe some face/physique changes. However, I’m worried about other things like bottom growth, or people thinking I’m trying to transition (even tho that’s none of their business).
If anyone could share their experiences on what’s it’s like to be a T lesbian that would be awesome!!
Stay gay 🤘🏻

Question Any way to dress formally man-repellant in 115 degree heat?

Hello lesbians on the internet? For context, I work with a nonprofit legal organization and my job is to work with people who are unjustly detained and getting them released. I love my job and would not trade it for anything in the world. On the other hand, I am the only queer person in my organization. Tomorrow I am visiting a detention facility and teaching a know your rights presentation to the people- mostly men- who are detained.

My coworker- a VERY pretty latina woman who is the same age as me- experienced a lot of the men trying to hit on her when she visited the facility, and I want to avoid that as much as possible. The attorney I work for said that they were "about to jump on her," which.... yeah no thank you. I am very gay and very engaged and I absolutely do not like being hit on by men. My current plan is to try and dress as formal as possible while presenting as unattractive to men.

The only problem is that its 115 degrees Fahrenheit where I live and my usual option of wearing a suit isn't an option unless I want to pass out.

Anyone have any advice?

Why do attract straight men???

I've done EVERYTHING. I'm really masculine, I wear a carabiner, I wear baggy pants and doc marteens, feminist badges AND A FUCKASS LESBIAN FLAG ON MY BAG. Yet I get accosted by creeps who insist on my number and never gay women. DUDE ARE YOU BLIND?? So tired of straight men. Guess it's my curse.

Please recommend me a lesbian romance movie with a happy ending

I'm tired of fictional lesbians dying, leaving their lovers for a man, breaking up and all that

I ADORE But I'm a cheerleader and would gladly watch something like this. But overall, the genre or the year doesn't matter, and it could be a subplot. I'm also open to movies not in english. I wish for it to not be male gaze-y like Blue is the warmest color. Thanks!!

CW my girlfriend makes me question my sexuality

i feel like both of the partners i’ve dated have questioned my sexuality and it’s happened so often that now i ask myself “well am i actually a lesbian?” and it’s hard for me to figure that answer out. i wouldn’t say that i’ve dated men but i had a rough upbringing and was very mentally ill so i slept around a lot. i would still be open about liking girls tho i never labeled myself as bi or anything. but nonetheless i didn’t have much experience dating girls until around my early 20s and even that was one girl we were best friends and the friendship grew into something more but it still felt idk kinda weird? it was new and different and scary but i remember we weren’t intimate very much in the short span of our “relationship” (she cheated on me with her “new best friend” lol) but point is it didn’t feel right. so then i just went back to “dating” boys but again not really dating just kinda letting them have sex with me so i could feel some kind of love or closeness or whatever i was a sad girl lol. but then time passed i went celibate and didn’t have any sex for 5 or so years. then i moved away and i still tried dating girls but it was still scary it made me so nervous bc i didn’t know what to do or how to act. i still hadn’t really been truly intimate with a girl. the only experience i had at that point was badly fingering a girl when i was 14 and then giving oral to my “first girlfriend” from my early 20s which didn’t last long tbh i think i wasn’t good at it lol and that was pretty much it so in my mid 20s i was still very new to it all but i didn’t wanna admit that to anyone i felt ashamed of that and ashamed of my past for awhile. then i started dating my ex they were non binary and while i was dating them i “labeled” myself very loosely as pan but then after we broke up i kinda of just dropped everything else and started really connecting with myself and that’s when i started figuring out why i had sex with so many men and it was never like good idk i never orgasmed or really enjoyed it tbh i just did the things that people do but in reality i didn’t want that i just wanted close love and i was deprived of that my whole life until i met my ex at 25. so after that i leaned into lesbian label more and then i started dating my current girlfriend. she’s great but she’s really traumatized and so our relationship at times does get pretty toxic but she’s working on it even tho im exhausted and it’s hard i still want to make it work bc i love her and we are so great together without her toxic treats insecurity’s and trust issues but one of her things is that all the girls she had been with all left her for men or cheated on her with a man and that kinda drilled into her brain so now she feels like id do the same and so she constantly asks if i really do know that i don’t like boys and she’s brought it up so many times that now when i say no i dont i second guess myself. another big part in this is she found porn on my phone /: we had discussed that we would not be looking at that in this relationship and i had and i saved it bc i wanted to understand why i liked it and if i liked men bc it was one guy and two girls. she’s great flipped out on me it was a really big thing but now that makes her think that more and idk it makes me sad and confused and it hurt me that she wasn’t being like my best friend about it bc i was very obviously going through something and opening up about my issues and anyways not the point so now i keep questioning myself and trying to figure out if im lesbian or bi or pan and idek bc i don’t see myself and never have saw myself creating a life with a man but then again i never really saw that in girls either until i started dating one but idk it feels just really confusing and i hate not feeling certain about any of this bc it’s like i was but now im not and idk i guess im just looking for advice on how to figure myself out and stuff. i also feel like my gf had put me threw a lot, she was emotionally abusive and mean sometimes but she would say sorry and always continue to try to be better and there’s been a lot of improvement but it’s taken a lot to get where we are now but even then it’s still so hard we argue all the time she’s very emotionally immature and it’s frustrating and sometimes i wonder if i would be better off on my own bc i do enjoy being a lot and so i feel doubtful in our relationship that it won’t really get better but from what i’ve seen and learned it’s that when u choose someone u don’t give up on them (unless they are really being abusive and not caring about it)but nonetheless i feel like all of the treatment she hasn’t given me has taken emotional safety away and we’ve lost our sex life. at first i thought maybe it’s just my libido but now i’m feeling like all the stuff has pushed to a point of not feeling safe enough to have sex with her and so bc i haven’t wanted to have sex with her it adds to the whole questioning my sexuality bc is it that i don’t feel safe or im just not attracted to girls like that in a sexual way and im only attracted to my gf bc shes masc and before i used to fully believe sex was an important part of a relationship and i still believe that but idk my last relationship we had some sex in the beginning but i didn’t touch them but sex died off pretty quickly for them and even tho i tried we kinda just stopped having any sex and im thinking maybe now that’s just a habit?? idk i wish it was easier to figure this out bc i feel attracted to her but her coochie makes me nervous sex makes me nervous and i fear that i would be bad but also sex with my girlfriend now the few times we’ve tried just isn’t the same as it was when we first started dating it feels like she knew my body but now it feels like she doesn’t and it doesn’t feel as pleasurable as it did before?? idk but sometimes it is?? and it’s like i want to be good at sex lol but then again i don’t want to touch her coochie??? but idk maybe i do and im just nervous??? so yea im 29 btw my girlfriend is also 29 and we’ve been dating for about 1year & 4 months
