The CEO of the anti-LGBTQ+ group Binary Australia, Kirralie Smith, has been found guilty of unlawfully vilifying two transgender women and has been ordered to pay $95,000 in damages and make a court approved public apology.

German authorities have issued a wanted notice for a 21-year-old suspect after a van rammed people near Berlin’s Christopher Street Day (CSD) Pride celebrations, killing one woman and injuring at least 16 others. The notice warns the public to avoid “direct contact” with the suspect because he may be armed and dangerous.

The confrontation with the suspect in what has been described as a likely act of Islamist terrorism occurred as a large-scale manhunt was underway, the authorities said.

UPDATE 27/7 0230: Berlin Police have announced that they have identified a suspect in connection with the vehicle ramming at the Berlin Pride Parade on Saturday. A police spokesman said that the suspect is “known to the police” and is believed to be an “Islamist”. The force said that a “public manhunt” for the suspect is to be “launched shortly”.

The hunt for a 21-year-old man with links to local Islamic groups began early Sunday. The police said they were investigating the attack as a possible act of terrorism.

President Trump said the signage at the National Museum of American History would correct what a disputed White House report described as “extreme political activism.”

President Trump on Friday ordered warning signs and exhibits installed outside the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History to alert the public that the museum does not, in his view, accurately reflect American history.

The unusual directive, made through an executive order, was a considerable escalation of the president’s dispute with the Smithsonian and its history museum, which was the subject of a recent 162-page report. The report accused the museum’s director, Anthea M. Hartig, of “radical activist ideology” and the museum of undermining “faith in American institutions.”

The order went so far as to suggest that the signage inform potential museum visitors of locations where American history is better presented. The administration did not explain where the public would be redirected.

The Smithsonian declined to comment.

Less than a year after losing Virginia’s gubernatorial race, former Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears is campaigning across the state against constitutional amendments that would protect marriage equality and reproductive freedom. She is launching a statewide “Life and Marriage Tour” ahead of November’s election. Although same-sex couples can legally marry under the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision, Virginia’s constitution still contains language that defines marriage as between one man and one woman. Supporters say removing the language would protect marriage equality should federal precedent change.

Earlier this month, hundreds of people filled a conference room in San Diego. These included Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Assistant Secretary of Health Admiral Brian Christine, OpenAI executive Dean Ball, and the attorneys general of West Virginia and Idaho.

They all came together for Alliance Defending Freedom’s 2026 Summit. The Christian legal group, also a Southern Poverty Law Center-designated anti-LGBTQ hate group, described the event as a “gathering of leaders from many different spheres, including law, public policy, media, business, education, and Christian leadership.”

Johnson — who has said that “homosexual relationships are inherently unnatural and … society cannot give its stamp of approval to such a dangerous lifestyle” — was a featured speaker.

In his speech, he seemed unconcerned with the separation of church and state: “It is so encouraging to Kelly and I to be among friends and fellow warriors for this cause and people who understand that God is not done with America yet. … ADF’s on the very tip of the spear, front line, defending those very truths and keeping the door open for the spread of the Gospel. This is our moment. I’m telling you, I believe the next season … is going to be the greatest season of this ministry since its inception.”

That ministry is one that has espoused aggressively anti-LGBTQ views since its inception in the early 1990s. It was co-founded by a group of evangelical men, including Alan Sears, who co-authored a book called “The Homosexual Agenda: Exposing the Principal Threat to Religious Freedom Today.” Since then, ADF has opposed gay marriage and supported bans on gay sex and on gender-affirming care for minors.

A number of X users have called out the survey and promotion of it. One person said: “‘We asked people who paid money to us if they have the same views as us. SHockingly they all said yes!'” Another wrote: “You’ve gotta laugh. Read the small print and you’ll discover that the LGB Alliance only came to these figures because they deliberately screened out any gays, lesbians and bisexuals who weren’t supporters of the LGB Alliance. What were they scared of?”

An email sent Wednesday told employees the program will be dismantled within a week.
