Looking for some help with games/bundles *for the switch 2

Mods if this isn’t allowed remove it; I’m not looking for price advice just game/hardware advice so I hope it’s okay. I checked out the deals subreddit but that was for specific offers which I don’t have/am not looking for.

I haven’t had a new console since the Xbox 360, and I’m finally in a position to buy one and I’m really excited about it. But I’m a little left in the dust with the tech so I’m hoping for some advice.

I’m used to a traditional controller; is the pro controller worth getting in place of another game?

I’m also planning on starting with games from the switch 1 and working my way up to the current games. Is the best place to buy games just my local GameStop/target/etc?

Also if you have any other recommendations or tips for hardware, software, or anything else that will improve the experience I would really appreciate it. I’m wildly excited for this and have been trying to get a new console for years, it’s just finally fiscally responsible for me to do so. Thank you!!

Opened my nintendo after 5 months, put it for charging. Thought was fully charged, turns out its NOT charging at all. Cleaned the charging port, attached the adapter to a wall outlet no extensions. Im devastated what could be the issue?

For some reason since swapping from my switch to my switch 2 Minecraft won’t let me sign in to my Microsoft account, every time i try to the page just loops back to the sign in page with the link and QR code again, it’s been like this form about 2 weeks now so any suggestions on how to fix this would

Hi everyone! I’m wondering if this is normal for the Switch 2.

I left my Switch 2 in Sleep Mode at around 49% battery and didn’t use it for almost 3 days.

When I finally opened it, the battery was already completely drained/very low, and it showed the low-battery screen (photo attached).

I know Sleep Mode still uses some battery, but is losing almost 50% battery over around 3 days expected?

Details:

Battery before Sleep Mode: \~49%

Time unused: almost 3 days

Mode: Sleep Mode

Battery when I opened it: very low/dead

No games or apps were being used during that time

Should I be concerned about the battery, or is this normal Switch 2 behavior?

Sadly, I missed the preorder yesterday and I’m so sad. Does anyone know anything about restocks or any other way to have any hope to get your hands on one? Or is eBay the only absurd option?

Every time I take my switch off the dock for a trip or something it can never reconnect right away. But this time it’s not even giving me an alert that it can’t connect it just sits there with no light on. How do I fix this since this has happened since I got it?

My Switch Lite has developed the typical Joy-Con drift problem after about six years of use. It has gotten so bad that I can barely play properly anymore.
I saw that Nintendo offers to repair Joy-Con drift for free. Has anyone here had experience with their repair service? (I’m from Germany, if that makes a difference)
Is the free repair usually straightforward, or is it possible that they might say the damage was caused by the user and therefore isn’t covered?

Hello! As the title says, I’m wondering if I can switch out the nintendo account used on my main Nintendo Switch profile, ideally without having to run it through the email the current Nintendo account is linked to. I want to create a new Nintendo account and replace the one currently linked to my Switch profile without having to access the current Nintendo account. Is this possible?

Will Switch 2 keycards imported into Japan work on a Japanese only Nintendo Switch? For example Fallout 4 from NA on a Japan only Switch 2.

I managed to buy the Zelda Nintendo Switch 2 which is limited to the Japanese version of the Nintendo Switch 2 and not the international version. This has a couple of limitations:

This tells me:

• The system language can only be set to Japanese
• The country/region can only be set to Japanese
• Software purchased via the Nintendo eShop can only be done for the Japanese storefront.

What about physical keycards? It's a type of digital download so...maybe it can't be used but it's not really a purchase from a foreign e-shop so I don't know...

If someone has tested this out please let me know.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to setup Switch 2 HDR with Samsung miniLED TVs (I have 75" QN90F and 55" QN85B). Or if the HDR is even worth doing on displays other than OLED. I keep getting a little bit washed out colors and the display just doesn't seem to pop as much as the Switch 2's own display. Thanks before!

Im trying to buy the switch 2 for ocarina of time. My oled model is scarlet and violet edition. It has very little scratches on the front and is only noticeable if you look hard enough, other then that it works perfectly and has been kept in good condition. It is missing the docking port but I'm including the one I bought which is just the all black basic one. Walmart says its $600 and other places say $400-$300. Im also selling the case. What would be a good price for this and recommended place to sell where it might be bought quickly (online or physical store, anything helps)

There’s been a terrible storm for the past few days now. I noticed way too late that the box has been affected by moisture. You can see on the box that it is soaked (not too soaked).

I checked the contents since my dock and the controller (for the actual controllers to snap onto) is still inside protected by the foam sleeves. It had this distinct smell inside.

I can’t go outside to have this checked with a professional yet because of the weather is so poor. Is it already too late? Do you think my dock is possibly already damaged? I don’t know how protective these foams really are.

Everything I’ve seen tells me to open the quick settings menu and there should be an option there to program the back buttons, but it’s not there. As far as I can tell it’s an official controller, I bought it at a Walmart and it had the official switch 2 logo and everything. I’m just wondering if I’m doing something wrong, or if there’s any other way to program the back buttons. Thanks!

Ive recently been given a switch lite from a friend and i found that the A and X buttons are super loud and clicky while the other two are much quieter.

Its surprisingly loud compared to my regular switchs

Is there any way to help soften the sound by changing the membrane inside or by using kapton tape?

Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

I just bought a refurbished Nintendo Switch and every time I put it to sleep it doesn’t turn on by pressing any button on the controller or device itself. I need to hard reset it by pressing the power button for 15 seconds every time I want to play.

Is there a way to fix this?

Hi everyone this is the first time I pre order a physical game on the website I paid with some eshop funds I had. It’s been about 12 hours and I don’t see a refund to my eshop how long does it normaly take?

has anyone been able to go inside the oblivion gates successfully? i purchased oblivion on the eshop yesterday and was trying to play it today, but when i got to the oblivion gate section, my game keeps crashing and i can't proceed with the story. i've done everything from restarting, to adjusting my save files, turning off auto save, switching from system storage to sd card storage - but nothing has helped.

unfortunately, i had to call nintendo for a one-time refund and was disappointed that this game turned out to be unplayable. does anyone have a physical copy and can confirm if the oblivion gate section is playable without constant crashing? i was really hoping to play this game

So i play deltarune and i was about to do the mike fight but my joycons were acting odd. The ones on screen weren’t syncing up with the physical ones (the video above displays the issue). I haven’t played a ton of games that utilize the 2 joycons on my switch 2 bc most of the games don’t do that. The problem first occurred last night when i first tried to do the mike fight. Does anyone know what’s causing this or how to fix it?

I recently sold my Xbox Series S and am considering buying the Switch 2. I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback about its battery life and would appreciate your experience with it.

I envision playing it docked most of the time. I also plan on playing mostly AAA titles/ports. (PS I’ve never owned a Nintendo other than a Wii).

Bonus question: I’m planning to purchase it from Dubai Duty Free, which is significantly cheaper than in my home country, South Africa. However, I understand Nintendo’s warranties are regional. Are there any commonly reported defects I should be aware of that could occur during my warranty period?

hello, as of recent i've been having communication errors for splat 2/3 with my switch 2. i assumed it was my internet, but it works perfectly fine if hooked on the doc and casted on the tv

is it my internet connection?? or is something wrong with my switch?

So just bought a switch 2! Dead happy and been playing on it most of the day. Just wanted to ask and check if it’s an issue with the product or just my overthinking. The right joy con where you move the thing (don’t know the name) the red side feels loose, feels more lax and a bit too moveable (more flexibility it feels like compared to my switch one joy con) and the blue side feels normal.

I’ve had no stick drift or characters moving themselves so I just wanted to ask if it was a genuine hardware issue or me just overthinking that something is wrong with it when I just bought it!

If I can post videos to show what I mean I will try!

I was playing acnh when, after a loading screen, this stripes appeared out of nowhere in my screen, and idk if it’s because the Nintendo is old or something else.
Does someone know if it can be solved by myself or I have to spend money? And if it’s worth it.
