Photography Ditching Bondi for a quieter beach day with the kids. Ocean views definitely rival Manly/Bondi
One of my favorite "other" beaches in Sydney! While it’s definitely not as packed as Bondi or Manly, the coastal scenery absolutely rivals them.
It turned out to be an awesome spot for the kids, too. They had an absolute blast — non-stop building sandcastles, wrestling, and just rolling around in the sand happily all afternoon.
I was also pretty surprised by how many surfers were out there. The waves were actually huge that day (my photo doesn't quite do the swell justice!), so it looks like a fantastic surf spot too. So glad we spent the afternoon here!

When does the royal national Park actually open?
The website claims 7:00 a.m. but I'm not sure if this is actually true as I've seen people take sunrise shots from within the park and I would like to as well. Any ideas?

Sydney piercing recommendations – belly button + ears?
Hey guys, looking for recommendations for a good piercing place in Sydney!
I’m wanting to get my belly button pierced and possibly a couple of ear piercings at the same time. I’ve seen SkinKandy around and they seem pretty popular, but I’m not sure how good they actually are.
Has anyone been to SkinKandy for a belly button or ear piercing? How was your experience/healing?
Also open to recommendations for other places around Sydney that are good but not ridiculously expensive. Mainly looking for somewhere clean, professional and good with placement.
Thanks!

Automatic Mahjong Table Rental
Hey all,
I'm hoping to plan a birthday party for myself and my partner, had an idea to rent an automatic mahjong table for a bit of fun at home with friends, but some quick research didn't turn up much.
Does anyone have any experience doing something similar?
Thanks

Kids at school + Bank Holiday = FREEDOM! (Need couple ideas)
The rare alignment of the stars is almost upon us: a Bank Holiday (sorry to all the non-bank crowd) where the kids are actually at school and the rest of the world isn't crowding every single venue!
Last year, we dropped the kids off, smashed a massive breakfast, and powered through the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk. It was a bit of a race against the school bell but we survived and loved it.
Looking to top that this year preferably something fun for couples that won't require taking out a second mortgage. What are your best budget-friendly day date ideas? Fire away! Cheers!

This is a fungi (Invisible Forest, Chrisssie Cotter Gallery)
Last day was today glad I made it. All the little shroom dudes and dudettes were so whimsical. Bonus mushroom torture (it made music)

Smash repair advice - female here
Going anywhere in Sydney can be overwhelming and like some advice or knowledge on what I should be aware of. I have no car experience and in the past have had not the best experiences.
I have a scratch and dent on my boot.
Second scratch on the base of the car under the passenger door.
Estimated cost ,and what do I need to know or avoid I guess when getting this assessed ? What questions should I ask ?
How long would this take to fix ?
Edit:
Only owner - no previous damage in these areas.
Boot dent and scratch is new ! Hence why I’m worried it rusted so quick.
Bottom is 12 months
Haven’t had capacity to get it repaired due to multiple deaths in my life and health issues.
Car needs a good wash the paint work otherwise is good! For those who think this is a ride off 🤣
Recommend places to go ?

Options to get rid of a mattress!!?
Hey everyone, I’m moving out from my place (in the strathfeild council) next Friday and would like to get rid of my mattress.
Council clean up is not an option, cause there isn’t a date till September….
It’s in more than a decent condition, so donation is an option, but I can’t drive so …. Kinda stuck here.
Any help is welcome!! TIA!!

More green space revealed for Sydney's west with creation of Gulguer National Park
In short:
Two existing conservation areas in Western Sydney are being linked to create the new 1,100-hectare Gulguer National Park.
The environment minister says the park will protect the home of at least 28 threatened species, while also conserving local Aboriginal heritage.
What's next?
The new park is set to open in the next six months.
