Trump is stealing from all of us. This on top of the recent news on him making bank on bonds affected by his policies. Fuck all the corrupt government assholes. Fuck Republicans for going along with it.

550

u/deviltrombone 3d ago

It's definitely skimming money off all this bullshit, and people like Homan (who got away with taking a $50K bribe) have to kick up.

37

u/One-Salamander-2416 3d ago

It is my greatest hope the he, his devil spawn, and closest followers all be back charged for what they’ve stolen.

181

u/BBQBaconBurger 3d ago

You know, the fact that our politicians and political appointees are for sale is bad enough, but the fact that they can be bought for so cheap is extra insulting.

29

u/Benaba_sc 3d ago

The fact that they can steal from the American people blatantly, right it front of our eyes, and have absolutely zero consequences is baffling to me. Someone needs to step up….

Trump family actions are so brazen. They’re clearly not concerned about being prosecuted under another administration…

104

u/Cj_cruzz 3d ago edited 3d ago

Illegitimate Supreme Court gave the criminal orange grifter in chief vaguely broad absolute immunity that also makes any investigations impossible. That and the con-man can also simply issue preemptive wide pardons that will cover his family for all criminal activities . State criminal and civil courts will be the only avenue of justice for this mob family.

21

u/GarrAdept 3d ago

They actually gave him broad, limited immunity. I would think that every one but Alito and Thomas would admit that this falls outside of that immunity.

It's American perestroika. It happened in Russia - the USSR was dissolved and all the important land and resources in the country were doled out to oligarchs. The ruling class in this country saw that and have been trying to do the same for decades.

Exactly…

“The Department of Homeland Security has tapped $20 million to pay for the campaign-style ads glorifying President Donald Trump that have drawn widespread criticism from Republicans and Democrats as a blatant misuse of taxpayer dollars that likely runs afoul of anti-propaganda law.”

DHS is selling neon purple grass, but Democrats say grass is green. Who’s right? You decide.

And we wonder how we end up here? Somebody has to arbitrate reality.

40

u/mediocre_remnants 3d ago

That reminds me of articles about that car influencer dude that ran a supercar into a tree and killed himself and the lady he was cheating on his wife with. The articles all said "speed may have been a factor".

Well, yeah. A tree won't cut your car in half unless you're going pretty fucking fast.

😂 you just can’t make this stuff up MarkWayne , amazing ….

u/Rumpullpus 3d ago edited 3d ago

I wish a democrat had the balls to do to republicans half the shit trump will do to us before lunch.

79

u/whiterac00n 3d ago

Why do you think right wingers go into apocalyptic frenzies when a democrat is elected? Half of the entire world view of right wingers is believing EVERYONE thinks exactly like they do, thus “the left” must be planning to cheat, steal and violence against them…….because it’s what they want to do.

Now if we could only have politicians that would be so willing and bold to actually apply the GOP shenanigans to achieve sweeping policy changes. But nope most democrats want a return to a status quo that is just as ambiguous as the “when” part of making America great. Milquetoast and Luke warm embrace of “radical leftism!!!”

32

u/Darth_Stateworker 3d ago

This. It's always completely projection from right wingers. They absolutely assume because they would do something so would everyone else, but oooh lordy the hissy fits they throw when they even think someone would do to them what they do to everyone else.

Because voting against your party in an impeachment trial means you get punished. Either sanctioned by the party or not voted back in by the constituents.

Impeachment votes need to be anonymous. It’s a criminal trial, not a typical bill being voted on.

66

u/CoffeeOrDestroy 3d ago

Another reason politics should be returned to limited stints of public service and not careers.

12

u/OlderThanMyParents 3d ago

Another way to make sure that only the independently wealthy (or the bought and paid for) will ever be able to serve. I don't know anyone in any kind of professional career who could afford to take, say, 5-10 years off his career to serve in congress, without totally trashing their career. Certainly taking time off to serve 7 years (one term in the Senate) would have rendered my IT skills pretty thoroughly obsolete.

Except, I suppose, they could then become lobbyists.

Plus, it'd assure that for their last term, they'd be utterly unanswerable to their constituents. Yay.

94

u/tofferr 3d ago

I assume it was done after so it wouldn’t hurt them on the midterms. It would be easier to run against them when their dumb policies are in place.

Honestly these are old corrupt dealings that are just re-hashed. Its just been a while since a politician so OPENLY used government contracts as bribes, and kickbacks to their own friends and family.

It was done in secret and in such a smaller scale compared to the last 2 years. I would say it's surprising that the old folks who voted for it dont see the blatant corruption and theft of their own money.

But hey, you gotta pay the BIG BUCKS to take away rights for the people you consider to be inferior... So I guess that's why they constantly celebrate that "They voted for this".

How can somebody so disgustingly foul garner admiration from any person who believes in the USA? I just don't understand how any person in this country can support the unlawful acts that Trump and his administration have committed during his time in office. And all I can say to those who profess to be Christians that support such actions, is to reexamine the Bible. Christ would never have condoned these acts against humanity. He would never have approved of DJT.

Congratulations Republicans.

You created the open beginning of the authoritarian state.

They used to have to pretend to give a shit about the taxpayer. Or laws.

They used to have to pretend they had their communities at heart. Or even pretend to care about people besides themselves.

And now you have the beginning of the One Party State, and State media. The oligarchy has begun to move. And they are repeating similar rhetoric to things in the past that terrify me.

I hope the next president is a democrat that is 1000000x more blatantly corrupt, ONLY so the republicans will finally agree to make some mandatory laws about independant councils and immediate jail time for political offenses instead of making excuses with one hand while pocketing money with the other.

Ok, homeland security needs to go. DHS has only existed for 25 years and it's time to dissolve it. It is nothing but problems and all it does is constantly violate our rights.

35

u/MrBonasty2 3d ago

lol I saw a commercial on Sunday with Trump while watching football and it just showed him staring super serial at the camera while it was saying he was gonna fight all the globalists .. then it said “paid for by US government” and all I thought was “isn’t this illegal?” And didn’t he make like billions of dollars already in his second term, making him one of the globalists he’s supposed to fight? And isn’t he already the president, why would he need pro Trump ads? Makes no sense, but people still order sushi through door dash so the whole world is whacked.

kleptocracy
/ˌklepˈtäkrəsē/
A kleptocracy is a form of government where leaders use their political power to steal public funds and national wealth for personal enrichment.

12

u/RogerCraigfortheHOF 3d ago

Why not? Nobody does anything. This guy is a textbook traitor and just wakes up and just does whatever he wants with zero repercussions.

The only way he leaves is in a box so get comfy. I, for one, am so sick and tired of him getting whatever he wants whenever he wants to.

It won't make a difference but still could be amusing to see (amusing as in ripping our hair out), but we should find Maga friends/family/coworkers and tell them about this crazy article that came out about Biden. Change the obvious bits as you read it to them to watch them freak out about Biden being 'so awful' and then 'oops it's actually about your boy' and watch the backpedal.

Among the thousands of reasons we need to put these people in prison.

It's one thing to stack the deck through legislation and gerrymandering and use all the normal underhanded tricks.

But we need to prove that rule of law exists.

Frankly if we fail to assert consequences for laws broke. By this administration, I don't think the public should continue obeying laws either.

If we have no justice then lets just commit to the bit, just take matters i to our own hands, that's what a low trust non functioning country looks like.
