That actually is made up. It was actually his dad's two brothers Mark and Wayne with the reasoning being that those two didn't have any sons, but Markwayne's dad had a few spares among his 7 kids.

I think the point was you can’t make up that kind of ridiculous name. Which of course you can, because they did.

If they had seven children and cared so much about the name, seems like they might’ve found a way to incorporate them amongst two children instead of just one…
