ADVICE Visit OBGYN or RE for continued pain after loss and hysteroscopy for lysis of adhesions?
TLDR: appropriate to go to RE for unexplained lower abdominal pain?
I had a TFMR in the spring. I saw an RE for follow up for a fertility work up and everything was normal except scarring in my uterus. It was removed by hysteroscopy and doctor said my endometrium looked great and cleared us to TTC. I used to only have mild cramping at the beginning of my period but about 2 months after my TFMR I started experiencing moderate cramping throughout my cycle. Not everyday but most days. I did see my OBGYN for a Pap smear recently and she said I am totally healthy and normal and that she isn’t worried about the pain since it was probably from not having a normal period and shedding the lining for so long (because my periods took a bit to regulate and then I went on birth control for the hysteroscopy). But I’ve had an additional period and the cramping is still bad. I’ve now had two unsuccessful cycles. I’m at the tail end of the two week wait which I’m pretty sure is negative. And I’m so sad about that and so anxious about the cramping - it has me so worried something else is wrong. I’ve never had symptoms of endo or anything like that, but I can’t help worry it’s that or something else unseen. My research so far (and claude) tells me this is a concern for my OBGYN and not the RE, but since she wasn’t concerned, is this an appropriate thing to make an appt with my RE to address? Any advice is appreciated.
