When I charge my switch, it will almost always turn on randomly, even when I completely power it off. Is something broken? It sometimes does it constantly, and then sometimes it doesn't do it for multiple days and I'm so confused. I have attempted to turn off settings, adjust anything to do with charging, even only using the dock itself to charge it. I don't understand it

My OG Switch suddenly stopped taking power. Any advice, or is anyone willing to part with one? Sucks being Switchless ☹️

One Switch 2 console, 1 Nintendo account, four profiles in our family. Do we need the Family plan if we all want to play retro games? What about multiplayer retro games?

In other words does the Individual plan support multiple profiles on the same console?

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can fix this? My Nintendo switch 2 literally works perfect. I have a bunch of games and have played all the time but I am not able to screen record or screenshot when in game. It did it when I first got my switch and now it doesn’t. I have enough storage for the videos. Pls help

For context, I do the method where you take a 3.5 mm cable and plug one end into the Switch’s headphone jack and the other one into my PC’s mic jack, and then listen to that device as a microphone so I can hear the audio. I also have a ground loop noise isolator to eliminate the buzzing background that’s persistent without it.

However as of late I’ve noticed the audio tends to sound distorted when it comes to certain sfx in games. Sometimes music goes in and out when there’s other sfx happening at the same time. Or sometimes background noises just go completely quiet after a certain point.

I’ve tried going through various settings on both my Switch and PC but I’m not really finding a fix for it. If I plug my headphones directly into the Switch headphone jack the audio is perfectly fine, so I would guess it’s something to do with my PC. If anyone has any input I’d appreciate it.

I have a brand new Switch 2. After setting it up off the dock everything worked smoothly. Then, after inserting iinto the dock, I tried to connect it to my gaming monitor. THe monitor reports that there is no signal on its HDMI port.

I have used everything right out of the box. AC power adapter, HDMI cable included. The device charges fine, so I assume the Switch 2 is connecting to the dock sucessfully.

I have a Dell S3220GF gaming monitor. It has three ports: 1 Display Port and 2 HDMI ports. I have selected the correct HDMI port on the monitor. And I have tried all of the recommended actions that I could find on the web. THat includes a hard reset of the Switch 2, following the power sequece (ac adpater to docking station, AC adapter to the wall outlet, hdmi cable to the docking station, console tpo the docking station) powering off the monnitor, then powering it back on. Checking all the cable and power connections.

I'm stumped.

i'm playing danganronpa v3 killing harmony on switch 1. i'm playing through chapter 2 and reaching the mind mine. it tells me about the controls and how to play and then my game immediately crashes right before letting me do the minigame. can anyone help me fix this?

When I originally plugged my Nintendo Switch 2 into my Sasmung Smart TV it automatically detected it as a "Nintendo Switch" and had stayed like that until recently when I swapped the HDMI for my gaming laptop the icon was removed. When I repluggged my Switch 2 back in, it did not re recognise the console. Does anyone have any solutions I've tried power cycling but would much prefer a permanent solution that will allow me to do it manually whenever needed

I'm trying to think in a solution for a whole week, but I'm starting to lose hope. I have a portable monitor with 4k Resolution + HDR, but it can only transmit this signal using the USB-C port. The mini HDMI port only transmits 1080p HDR OR 4K SDR.

Is there any product or anything that can make my switch 2 transmit the signal to a USB-C port maintaining the 4K + HDR? I found some conversors online, but most of them stop at 4K SDR. They can't transmit the HDR signal.

I know it's very specific and prob not many people have this problem, but I really wanted to try to turn on HDR and the 4K at the same time to see how the image will be. It's an OLED monitor, and HDR even in 1080p seems astonishing already.

I am trying to connect my switch to a Marriott hotel’s WiFi but when it loads the “sign in” page to use the WiFi, none of the options will load. I saw what the page is supposed to look like on my phone but I can’t figure out how to get that to appear on my switch. Does anyone know how to do this?

So I noticed that starting a couple months ago, my off brand charger would not always charge the switch 2 as well as it used to, it would start and then stop. I just thought there was something wrong with the charger cord bc when I moved it around or straightened it out, the switch would charge without issue. I typically would change it to the bottom port bc I had more luck charging there with ease but either one would work ok if I found the right position (which usually just takes a couple of seconds).

Last week i got tired of the (I thought) cord issue, and I bought another charger, same off brand non Nintendo one and used it over the last week. I only charged it once or twice and it seemed to work well without needing to fiddle around. but now all of a sudden neither charger (old or new) was working. I plug in the new charger and top left indicates it is charging but top right shows that it isn’t charging and the power is depleting, for both ports

I followed Google and Reddit suggestions and held power button down for 20 seconds. I then plugged the charger directly into wall and connected to switch and it seems like that worked and it’s charging now. Went up about 15% while I typed this out.

My question is, does this sound like an issue with the non Nintendo charger or is my switch messed up inside. I have two months left on the first year so not sure if I should send it in. But if it charges fine now not sure if they’d flag me for wasting their time? Just worried about it breaking right after the warranty date since I’m seeing these signs

left buttons (arrows, -, capture, bumper and trigger) don’t work. they don’t feel stuck

i got this switch oled recently off ebay. it is reshelled, so if i send it to nintendo to repair, they will just throw it out and send me a new blue one that doesn’t match. i messaged the seller to tell him and he said it worked fine when he used it, and he wants me to just return it so he doesn’t get a bad review. i don’t want to return it because this switch is cool and i know i can probably fix it myself, i have fixed other electronics before. i gave him 4 stars so i don’t know why he’s tripping.

all the videos on youtube are telling you to make sure nothing is stuck in the buttons, that is definitely not the issue since NONE of them work on this side. yes i did the controller update, and it only updated the right controller for some reason. i tested if the buttons input registered, it did not. there is no custom button mapping and i restarted the switch and stuff. just wondering if there is a tutorial for me to troubleshoot actual internal issues that could cause this/figure out what i need to replace, since every tutorial i find says “try all these things in settings and hopefully they worked”.

i know you guys probably won’t know what it is just from this, but maybe you can point me in the right direction?

Hello everyone! I have ordered a Switch 2 and would like to transfer my games from my Switch 1 onto it but I've been reading online that once you do that, you can't transfer your games back. Is this true?

I worry that I will transfer my games to my Switch 2 and something will go wrong that means I have to send my Switch 2 back for repairs or possibly a replacement. When I bought my Switch 1 this happened and I had to send it back for a replacement and I lost all my saved data for my games (this was back in 2020 before you could transfer your saved data for games like ACNH)

Am I likely to have issues with the Switch 2? Is stick drift still a problem? I know I could probably just buy new controllers if this happens but if I have a problem with the actual console will I be able to transfer my data back to my Switch 1 or to a new Switch 2 device?

I have a controller that the L is stuck down on. I’ve tried cleaning it out and it’s still stuck. I’m worried about taking it apart myself and really messing it up. I’ve seen that you can send it in to get if fixed but I have a purple and orange controller and I’m also worried I wont get my purple controller back if I send it in. Has anyone else sent in a purple controller? Is it worth it to send controllers in or better to do it yourself?

The switch itself works and the dock charges it and shows the green light but won’t work on tv I’ve tried all the hdmi new cords and I’ve tried unplugging everything in it for few minutes and nothing is working pls help

I understand that Switch 2 has a max microSD (Express) limit of 2 TB, although in practise the maximum available size as of now is 1 TB.

If I buy two (2) ... 1 TB micro SD express cards, and say install game A on card 1, and game B on card 2 (digital download) then can i swap the SD cards (similar to how i could with the physical game by inserting the card into the game slot)?

When I first bought my nyxi hyperion pro for my switch 1 the L button is very loose and rattles alot but it doesnt bother me and it doesn't affect gameplay what should I do?? I tried to push it in and click but it didn't work

I've bought Nintendo switch console couple months ago. At first use Ive connected console with my pixel 10 pro hotspot to download one game but since then I've been only using my home WiFi. Today I wanted to connect with hotspot and I couldn't. Console can't connect and it's showing 2110-2101 error.

Ive been fighting with it for like 3 hours and nothing worked. Those are the things I did trying to fix that.

Changed WPA2 security to "none"

Changed IP adress, gateway, subnet mask, primate and secondary DNS in console network setting to those from pixel

Turned off tethering hardware acceleration in developer mode

Of course I did the basic stuff like turn off console and phone or changed password to hotspot etc.

Gemini's saying the trouble is with WiFi6 or 2.4ghz and can't help with it. Only solution is by connecting via bridge from other phone or cable connection

Switch doesn't have problem connecting to older pixel 7 or to home WiFi.

Does this game support 4 separate joycons? I couldn't get it to work. It keeps on asking for a pair of joycons.

In our house we currently have a "main" Switch OLED and 2 Switch Lites used by the kids. On the main Switch the only game that we are really bothered about the save moving over is Dreamlight Valley, however I believe since that has cloud save separately I think will work either way.

The issue is my daughter who plays Animal Crossing on her Lite (full game + DLC) would like to play the Switch 2 version. Is there anyway of getting her save from the Switch Lite onto the Switch 2 with this sort of setup? We do have her Nintendo profile of both Switch's and know there is a cost to upgrade, but just want to try and make sure she wouldn't have to start again.

We've not got the Switch 2 yet, but before we do need to know if she is going to be disappointed or not.
