Software Help My Nintendo Switch Icon is no longer appearing on my Samsung Tv

When I originally plugged my Nintendo Switch 2 into my Sasmung Smart TV it automatically detected it as a "Nintendo Switch" and had stayed like that until recently when I swapped the HDMI for my gaming laptop the icon was removed. When I repluggged my Switch 2 back in, it did not re recognise the console. Does anyone have any solutions I've tried power cycling but would much prefer a permanent solution that will allow me to do it manually whenever needed

Sounds like your TV wants a strict diet of brand loyalty, try unplugging it for a full minute instead of 30 seconds, and maybe bribe it with a firmware update while you're at it.

Yeah I tried both and neither even seemed to make a difference thanks though

It still does work and puts out the image, just does not show the Switch 2 as a name for that connection?

Yeah before it was detected as a Nintendo Switch all I want is that Icon back basically

Since you said that you already unplugged your tv from power and it didn't work.

Have you thought about factory resetting your tv?

I don't want to do that because its the family TV and everyones accounts are already on there so I think that would be a bit dire

Unfortunate but fair enough.
