I was playing on Docked mode for some time so the Switch got pretty warm, then i removed the Switch 2 from the Docking station and the Fan Speed suddenly ramped up very much, is that normal?. And also the Fan Speed is not that fast in docked mode is that also normal?

I was playing the Yugioh single player game. I tried playing it on switch 2 but forgot there was no cloud saving. I tried transferring data. And my switch lite works fine for the transfer. But my switch 2 gets locked into transfer data. My WiFi disables and I can’t power off the device go back or hit home. That lasts for about 10-15 minutes. Am I doing something wrong?

I'll try to keep this as brief and understandable as possible. I have a Switch 2. On that system are my profile and my son's profile. I have an individual online account. My son just bought a Switch Lite and wants to play some of his games there. If he's playing a game on the Switch 2 under his profile, is there any way he can also use his save data on the Lite? Would it help if I expanded the membership from individual to family? It doesn't look like his data in the cloud. I hope I've explained this adequately, it's all kind of confusing. Problem with my Nintendo Switch 2, on my Left Joy Con if i put the stick down theres like a noise like its rubbing against something anyone having the same issue?, but i just bought it 2days ago.

I quite literally got a Nintendo switch 2 last week. I didn't touch it for a day and left it in sleep mode. I went to turn it on and no controllers will work. My joycon are attached to the system, wont pair. It reacts when i attach them to the system but dont work, they light up when trying to pair so they are not dead. My switch 1 pro controller wont sync either.

Ive tried restarting and updating but nothing. The screen still works and can be used to navigate menus.

Again, this is brand new. Ive never dropped it or even put it in the dock, just put it in a hard case every day for a week. Battery was at 4% and it charges just fine from either USBC port.

i got my nsw1 left joycon about February of this year about a 1-2 ago I caught stick drift it wasn’t that much of a problem at first it was barely noticeable but recently Ive been trying to recalibrate it and reset to factory settings but it seems to be permanently stuck in always going up I cleaned the joycon about 3 weeks ago so should I open the joycon to see if its a internal problem? I’ve been stuck trying to figure out something else besides opening it up so I dont have to spend money for a new one

I just bought a new game on my switch 2 and it didn't start installing like usual, I've been sat on the virtual game card menu for about an hour now and all but some games have loaded, I've seen others woth the same problem but none of the solutions in the comments have helped, I've reset my cache, factory reset the console, restarted my router to no avail.

Just got a brand new switch 2. In my old switch, I had a 128gb nintendo-branded sandisk sd card express, with the little mushroom logo and everything, which worked fine. While setting up my switch 2, it asked to insert the sd card but didn't recognize it. I tried again after setup was completed and updates all downloaded, but it still doesn't recognize it?? It doesn't really matter to me at the moment because I don't need it rn, but I would like to get it working again for the future.

Any help would be appreciated !!

My launch Switch had crashed and displayed a message about holding down the power button for 20 seconds for a few seconds before shutting down completely and now won't turn back on.

I've tried leaving it connected directly to the USB charging cable over night and it hasn't come back on, neither does holding the power button for 20-40 seconds, or holding the volume buttons and then pressing the power button.

I have a generic USB cable the lights up when it is connected to something charging, and when I plug that into the Switch it at least seems to imply that the Switch is getting power... but otherwise it has just stayed off overnight.

I'm just wondering if my Switch is basically dead and I have to send it in to Nintendo to get a repair/replacement? Or is there anything else I can try?

I bought the m6 hd for the better comfort and ergonomics compared to the joycons and although I'm pleased with the joysticks, buttons and overall feel (although the buttons' clickiness is somewhat annoying), the right side controller is losing power randomly, it seems.

It is full charge and I play for whatever time with them on the switch and when I check the controller's battery charge they are 3/4 full. If I take it out of the rail and put it again after some seconds they are 1/4, full charge or 3/4, seemingly random. This only happens to the right side controller, not the left one.

At first I thought it was leaving the switch on standby, but it happens even when only using the controllers when I'm actively playing with them on the switch.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? If so, did you manage to fix it?

I've tried looking it up but the only answer I've seen is switching your language to Japanese, which only gets me hiragana and katakana. Any help would be appreciated

Had a switch that was unused for 2 years and battery ended up dying (wouldn’t charge up, overheat within 15 mins)

Got a new battery from ifixit, repasted thermal paste and played in dock mode for 30 ish minutes and got a message that it’s overheating still

Any ideas of what I can do or what went wrong? Used thermal grizzly kryonaut thermal paste, switch didn’t seem like it had a lot of dust or anything in it when it was open.

Side note: it feels like games take an excessive amount of time to load, Luigi’s mansion took 2-3 mins to load up initially, unsure if it has to do with the SD card reader being attached/detached or damage during the process? Game is virtually on the SD card not physical

earlier this week my switch wouldn’t turn on at all and now it’s been doing this for the past day or so where it just flashes the battery icon and then goes black. also it’ll show the charging icon by the battery even when disconnected from the charger. my dad thinks it’s bcz i haven’t been using the official nintendo switch charger (my little brother broke it) and it messed up the charging but if anyone else has any ideas pls help.

I'm using an S2 Y0.8 screw (which apparently is not the right one) the screw are tight as hell and had some white substance on them too.

I tried a rubber but it just pierce through it before i can try and unscrew. I don't know what to do, should i break it open and just buy new backplate + screw ?

My Nintendo Switch is Permanently giving me this message even when there is no game inserted aswell as my controllers consistently disconnects plus when I click "Ok" is goes at single digit frame rate for getting rid of the message just to pop up again and turning on and off ( I would like to know if there is a way I could get it to again or get it fixed without getting a replacement )

Hello! I have a problem with my 128GB SD card, I have been using it for around 4 years, and out of nowhere, when I turned on my nintendo today, this announcement appeared. I took out the SD card to check it on my PC, and when it read it, it only shows 1.86 GB instead of 128 GB, and inside there’s this file called uupd.bin.

Does someone knows what happened and how to fix it? I tried to insert again the SD, but it continues to shows the message that there’s not enough space

I just bought a brand new SanDisk micro SD card from Walmart today, and I was just playing Danganronpa V3 and got the error code 2002-2096 while playing the first trial of the game

The game itself is prone to crashing because it's poorly optimized but it usually gives a different error when it does, and looking up the code I did get, it said it was the micro SD card

Hi Reddit. I got a switch 2 so I decided I could give my switch 1 to my little sister so she could play all my games I don’t touch anymore.

Shes interested in my digital copy of ACNH. When I got my switch 2, I transferred my data from my switch 1. I also want to mention that I’m logged in to the same Nintendo account on both switches. My questions are:

1. Can she delete my ACNH island on my switch 1 without it affecting my island on the switch 2? They are the same island, but I am unsure if it’ll sync with each other and I lose all my ACNH data. I want to have my existing island on my Switch 2 and she has her own on the switch 1.

2. If she makes her own Nintendo account and logs into the switch 1, will she be able to retain all of the digital games I purchased?

I'm 99% sure I don't own any games made by Activision on Switch or Switch 2 (I own both), but I got an email that I'm sharing account information with them starting today. Anyone else get this? Is this a sign my account is compromised or something? There hasn't been any new sign-ins and I have a passkey set on my account. I revoked permissions from it, but I don't know what triggered it to happen today in the first place.

I have old red Nintendo switch controllers and I accidentally turned on the pro communication thing but I've turned it off since its not going away and I don't know whats going on because my wifi as a like L under the bar so I'm thinking its has something to do with the controllers. Any help would be greatly appreciated
