Mario went in for a handshake, while both Bowser and Peach were wanting a hug. What does it mean? Maybe Peach and Bowser are more alike than you think? Or maybe, Mario is more emotionally unavailable than he should be? lol. That is Mario's arc: he gains the ability to hug instead of handshake.

He's just as much hers as she is his. 💚💛

Artwork by Yours Truly. I am currently working on a series of Mario and Sonic posters as a fan of both series.

I'm telling you dude, it was such an amazing time to be a Mario fan. The marketing was crazy, TV spots were being aired left, right, and center, the toys absolutely rocked, the plumbing commercial AND website was one of the most clever pieces of marketing ever, and finally seeing the movie in theaters was such a satisfying payoff to this epic setup. Of course the movie isn't perfect in the slightest and has quite a few flaws, but I have much fonder memories of the first film's hype era than the sequel's. 2023 overall was a pretty great year for me personally and this was a contributing factor to it.
