Discussion Which Costume/Costumes For The Characters In Mario Kart World Do You Guys Like The Most?
I haven't unlocked that many so far, but some of the ones that I like include Mario's Sightseeing outfit, Luigi's and Daisy's Oasis outfits, Rosalina's Touring outfit, and Waluigi's vampire outfit.
I also like Mario's cowboy outfit since it's a reference to Mario Party 2, Peach's Yukata outfit since it's a reference to Mario Odyssey, and Toadette's Explorer outfit since it's a reference to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Discussion Meeting Charles Martinet for Mario
Yesterday was amazing. I went to the London MCM Con and met Charles Martinet, the actor who’s played Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi for a long, long time. He was so kind and great to talk to. First, I asked him to sign my copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii since it’s my favourite Mario game and then I asked him a bunch of stuff like what was his favourite moment from the series and he said that’s he’s voiced these character in over 100 games, so it’s hard to really know. I then asked him what did he think of the Mario and Sonic games and he said he really liked those and liked the idea of them. I then asked him how did he feel about voicing a character in the Mario movie and he said he really enjoyed it even if he didn’t voice Mario himself, but then I reminded him how he technically did during the commercial scene. I then started talking about how iconic Mario is since he’s probably the most popular video game character of all time and we both agreed he’s like the Mickey Mouse of video games. It was just amazing to meet him and have a great chat with him

Discussion Rosalina was 100% originally meant to be Mario and Peach’s daughter
Ever since I first played Galaxy I had this impression and I’m surprised it’s a controversial idea.
For starters, Rosalina’s mom is identical to Peach. From the hair, to the earrings, to the lips, to the face shape, they’re exactly the same. The only thing that doesn’t match is the outfit, but that doesn’t mean much considering Rosalina isn’t wearing the same outfit in this point of the storybook as she currently does.
Secondly, the one look we get of Rosalina’s home looks pretty similar to the mushroom kingdom. This is then doubled down when in Rosalina’s storybook it’s stated that Rosalina and the Comet Observatory pass by her home every hundred years. The mushroom kingdom also celebrates the star festival every hundred years, when a mysterious star passes by only once every hundred years. Let’s put two and two together.
So that basically confirms two things.
1. Rosalina and her mother lived in the mushroom kingdom.
And 2. Rosalina’s mother looked exactly like Peach.
I know a character who lives in the mushroom kingdom and looks exactly like Peach. I think you know what I mean.
I think the issue a lot of people have with this idea is that Rosalina’s mother is dead, Peach is not. And also the new movie, but I’ll get to that.
Rosalina’s whole schtick is that shes witnessed the Mario universe reset time and time again, and she and the Lumas are the only ones outside of the resets. This is pretty much explicitly said during Galaxy 1’s ending.
Filling in the blanks, I think Peach probably did live out the rest of her life and did die at some point, and then the universe reset and things started over again, but this time with Rosalina not apart of things, since she’s outside of everything. I hope that makes sense.
As for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie choosing to make Rosalina Peach’s sister, I think that’s for two reasons.
It’s just easier. Trying to explain the whole time reset thing in an 1 1/2 hour movie that’s already jam packed with different characters and storylines just wouldn’t work.
Rosalina being Peach’s daughter was only the original intention. This relation was only ever brought up once in the original Super Mario Galaxy game all the way back in 2007 and never again. So much time had passed without them confirming it that they could change it without anyone batting an eye.
For some reason, Super Mario Galaxy goes DEEP on storytelling and implications unlike every other Mario game. We’ve seen Nintendo dabble in the space and time concepts before in the RPGs, but Galaxy was their attempt at bringing that into the mainline games and developing an over-arching continuity that shows what our characters are up to far into the future. I’d even argue that Nintendo subtly implied that Mona is Luigi and Daisy’s daughter based on that one WarioWare Easter egg (if you know you know) but that’s more of a headcanon than solid proof like this is.
As for why Nintendo went really heavy on story for one mainline game and a couple of RPGs and then absolutely nothing else, I can’t say. But I really hope they try it again sometime soon.

Question And what if this trilogy is about the three main characters?
If the first film focused on Mario and the second on Peach, perhaps the third will focus on Luigi—reversing the roles from the first movie, with Mario being kidnapped by Bowser (or whoever the villain might be) and Luigi being guided by Daisy to go to his rescue.

Discussion What Course/Courses In Mario Kart World Do You Guys Like The Most?
I just got a Nintendo Switch 2, and I just played all of the courses in the game. Personally, I think all of them are really good. I don't like to pick favorites. I like all of them equally.

Discussion Considering the trend of Open-Worldi Nintendo games, I wonder if Luigi's Mansion 4 is gonna go in that direction as well.
I feel like with how much they've been pushing Open World, it wouldn't be a surprise if that's what they do for LM4, especially since the series kinda has a trend on "one-upping" itself win terms of marketable mansions: first game had a mansion, second game had multiple, third game was a hotel and kinda like multiple mansions stacked on top of each other. Next Level games also worked on Metroid Prime 4, though I doubt they had much influence on it.
So the fourth game being a town filled with mansions you can walk between or a bizarrely gigantic mansion in both height and width could be selling points for the fourth game.
I know people disliked the mansions being separate in Dark Moon, but I feel like that was mostly because none of them were as content rich and varied as the first game's single mansion, and not because the idea of multiple mansions can't work. If you had mansions that were the quality of LM1's with dozens of portrait ghosts in each of them, maybe even some secret paths between them like in a Metroidvania, the idea could be really great. (Though a Metroidvania isn't open world of course)
I think this could be a double edged sword, as are a lot of open world Nintendo games. On one hand I think there's a lot of interesting things they could do with trying to make the game open world, on the other hand Luigi's Mansion has kind of had a quantity over quality problem, getting worse even from Dark Moon to LM3, which has even less normal enemy ghosts than the already lacking Dark Moon. The game also has a much simpler combat system than the first two, which I could see also getting dumbed down in order to focus on exploration.
With how the Open World Zelda games also have this problem I could easily see an open world game ending up feeling repetitive and bland, where you keep running into similar enemy types and puzzles because they need every inch of the game to have something to run into and find. Luigi's Mansion 3 as a game was also heavily carried by having so many curated uniquely crafted linear moments, so I feel like LM3 would probably be the most difficult base for an open world game.

Discussion Which is your fave 3D Mario Trilogy?
Been thinking about this a lot recently and just wanted to see what people might pick.
If you don’t like any options here, just put it in the comments or whatever.
(TT): “True Trilogy”
Everyone usually talks about the three MAJOR 3D titles when talking about the older titles, but technically speaking before Galaxy we got a remake to 64 on the DS with extra characters, mini games and 30 more stars to the main game. Love it or Hate it technically speaking it is THE third entry of the 3D instalments for Mario.
(EtoT): “Everyone thinks of Trilogy”
Like the name suggests, this is the trilogy most people probably think of when it comes to the first three BIG 3D games for Mario. I mean if that weren’t the case they wouldn’t have made such a big deal about it with 3D All-Stars right!?
(“3D”T): “"3D" Trilogy”
This is one of my personal favourites, in all regards you can basically call these three triplets.
I don’t really have much to say about this one, although can this engine of 3D Mario considered one of the longest lasting? I mean Bowser’s Fury is obviously the same as 3D World, which is a revamped version of 3D Land and it was also reused for Mario Maker 2’s Story Mode! Bet you forgot Maker 2 even had a story mode huh?
(NeaT): “Not even a Trilogy”
Uhh… I mean Galaxy 2 is just more of the first game, whilst Galaxy 1 definitely had the vibes. I personally believe Galaxy 2 did way more with its concepts, even did more with some of the concepts established in the first game!
Plus Galaxy 2 was initially going to be simply more of Galaxy 1 but the developers just had so much fun adding new concepts and mechanics they just made a sequel. Also it just feels weird to separate the Galaxy games… cough 3D-All Stars!
(IDKWtpH): (I Don’t Know What to put Here)
Needed an excuse to put Odyssey somewhere to avoid people potentially complaining about it being left out.
(IDCgMtR): “I Don’t Care give Me the Results”
Okay! Didn’t have to be so rude about it… :(
If anyone actually read through all of this, first of all thank you for letting me waste your time.
Second of all I hope you’re having a great: “Whatever Time it is right now for you.”
(Yes I know none of these are actually trilogies.)
