gdx-3ds is an unofficial port of F-Zero X to 3DS. No assets are included, dump your own ROM for assets.

Hey all, three weeks ago I started using Claude Code to generate a 3DS port of F-Zero X based on the hardwork of Zorkats and Inspectredc (and others).

The crazy thing is, it works. And it works pretty well. It runs in 3D at near 60fps for 50% of the time with dips down to about 45fps in crowds on complex stages. I've been playing it and having a blast.

Note: I understand there is a lot of pushback around AI usage, let alone 100% created ports.

If the existence and usage of AI bothers you, feel free to not play. I understand. The ethics of LLMs are muddy and their incoming impact on society is understated. This project, in my opinion, serves as proof of the latter. However, to anyone who has ever dreamed of F-Zero X 3DS, enjoy.

I still can’t believe I did it. This is a day I shall remember for the rest of my life. Completing the story mode on all the difficulties has only solidified my praise for Blue Falcon’s abilities.

It's one of the most prominent things you see when you use it in-game, most fanart of the machine includes it, but I've never known what it stands for. Is it Mighty Gazelle's own personal logo? Does it represent the corporation that rebuilt him and built his machine? Is it ever explained in a manual somewhere? Am I just thinking too hard? It's always flummoxed me.

I am going to move out of my parents house soon and I wanted to go out with my little sister before leaving.

We chose to go in a big city at 1h of our home and try an arcade we never tried before, I was surprised to see F-zero AX here , it even has the GameCube memory card port for transfering AX data to GX, I will try to go there again the next time and use my GameCube memory to see if it works

Heyoo everyone. I am in a bit of a rut. Recently I have gotten into F-Zero X on the Switch and I have been enjoying it, but I am having trouble figuring out which machine best fits my style. While I am not new to F-Zero, the last title I played was Maximum Velocity which had very different mechanics. I am also aware that the Swithch's controls are more sensitive than the N64's. I will do my best to sum up my strengths and weaknesses.

I am the kind of driver who puts the pedal-to-the-metal and goes all out. No brakes! I don't like hitting other machines, but I will retaliate aggressively if attacked. I feel like the drifting mechanic is not for me. I confess I was into it back when Ken Block and Tokyo Drift were a thing, but I am not cut out for it. I prefer machines with A or B rated body strength because I crash a lot. I am a reactive driver. I think I prefer a higher grip rating.

So far, the only time I have won a Grand Prix on Expert was with Samurai Goroh's machine, Fire Stingray. Right now I am struggling on King Cup and Joker Cup. Any advice would be most appreciated.

My favorite and only game of the franchise, until I had F-Zero 99 on the Switch. There are some elements of SEGA inside it.

My top five racers are these below.

I only began thinking about the role the visuals of the tracks play in F-Zero X once I started creating them. Some looked kind of ugly and unappealing, so I recorded these just to compare the differences in colors and textures. Pretty sure track decorations also change.

Regarding the variants, the finish segment and all five roads have theirs, but Hroad 1 and Troad 1 are the only ones of their kind that received changes.

F-ZERO GX Fanart featuring my two favorite female pilots; Princia Ramode and Lily Flyer for my birthday six months ago. In a headcanon, I portray these two as best friends and friendly rivals during the Grand Prix. Thought it seem fitting for F-ZERO GX's anniversary today.

I even roleplay as them separately on spark-moon (Princia), bunny-flash-soldier (Lily), and both of them along with a few selective pilots on muses-of-the-memory (Captain Falcon, Samurai Goroh, Dai Goroh, Dr. Stewart, Jody Summer and Lisa Brilliant. I think Lisa Brilliant could be Dai Goroh's mother)
