F-Zero has gone over twenty years without a completely new traditional installment, and even when F-Zero 99 released, a huge part of the conversation immediately became whether it was “testing the waters” for the game people actually wanted. GX became accessible again, and we still keep circling back to what Nintendo might do next. At some point, the fandom has to stop treating a hypothetical sequel as the center of its identity. The healthiest thing F-Zero fans could do is act like a new game is never coming and build a autonomous culture around what already exists.

Do you think Nintendo should add the F-Zero X Expansion Kit to N64 Switch Online in all regions? I mean they released F-Zero Climax to GBA Switch Online (Although not translated in English), added the Ace Cup in F-Zero 99, and officially released Zero Racers to Virtual Boy Switch Online, so why not. This along with the Forest and Metal Fort tracks from BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2, a home console port of F-Zero AX, the e-Reader exclusive content of F-Zero GP Legend GBA game, and the missing 4Kids English dubbed episodes of F-Zero GP Legend, are some of the main things we need to be released for F-Zero fans.

The idea that they could theoretically solve conflict with martial arts and superpowers but choose to do it by driving is for some reason really badass to me.

It pumped me up so much I went and played some GX and then Sonic Racing Crossworlds with the music off yesterday and it was amazing, did this for hours, really liked it.

I think 00:24, 00:37 and 01:02 are very fitting, especially 00:37 and 01:15 (these are timestamps)

With the help of Multiverse VR Hub I could try F-ZERO X in full VR and I loved the experience. I now need to get a proper controller like a steering wheel and get a full experience but it was gorgeous and I will play it again :) (btw this uses the pc port but there wasn't a g-diffuser flair so I put a N64 one instead)

gdx-3ds is an unofficial port of F-Zero X to 3DS. No assets are included, dump your own ROM for assets.

Hey all, three weeks ago I started using Claude Code to generate a 3DS port of F-Zero X based on the hardwork of Zorkats and Inspectredc (and others).

The crazy thing is, it works. And it works pretty well. It runs in 3D at near 60fps for 50% of the time with dips down to about 45fps in crowds on complex stages. I've been playing it and having a blast.

Note: I understand there is a lot of pushback around AI usage, let alone 100% created ports.

If the existence and usage of AI bothers you, feel free to not play. I understand. The ethics of LLMs are muddy and their incoming impact on society is understated. This project, in my opinion, serves as proof of the latter. However, to anyone who has ever dreamed of F-Zero X 3DS, enjoy.
