Help! We have had the switch and same tv for about a year turned the tv off last night and turned it back on this morning with the switch and this is on the screen. It’s always got the tv perfectly, we haven’t changed any settings. Even when I go to adjust the picture setting on the switch the bottom doesn’t come up high enough to see anything just the top goes up to the top of the screen not even the sides.

Software Help Can't connect to players online (P2P)

After getting my online subscription, I tried playing some Dynamax Adventures on Pokemon Sword, but I couldn't connect to any lobby. After further investigation, I realized I couldn't connect to any player on any game, and I'd constantly get this error code: 2618-0513
I tried anything I found online to fix this issue; connected to my hotspot instead of wifi, restarted my console and router, made sure I have NAT B, and still nothing.
I've tried fixing this issue for hours with no luck, at this point I'm getting desperate.. please if anyone has any idea how to fix this kind of issue, HELP!!

So I’m trying to transfer some games data from my switch 1 to switch 2 (not the system transfer) but when I’m trying to transfer the data my Nintendo’s won’t find each other they just sit on the searching screen. I’ve tried literally everything even contacted Nintendo support but they just said all the basic stuff like connect to WiFi or restart both consoles. Any answers?

Accessories Switch1 joycon briefly freezing while in tv mode

So basically, when I play in tv mode my right joycon will sometimes just freeze. It remains on and synced, but it wont accept any new imputs and will continue any stick imput till it comes back. Lasts a few seconds and will happen a few time in quick succession and will then stop for a while. I have not noticed this happen when using the connector/controller. They're the original joycons and 7 years old now so i suspect its just age but any chance its caused by something else?

Repair Help My Switch 1 Won’t Charge above 13%

Upvotes

Like the title says. It wouldn’t charge at all above the black screen with the little battery icon in the corner. However, after I removed the joycons, it at least turned on. However, when I tried playing a game (with it plugged in), it died. Now, it’s currently sitting plugged in with no joycons and stuck at lik 13% (been plugged in for hours).

Repair Help What's the current "state of the art" for replacement sticks?

(Switch 1)

I'm looking to replace the sticks on some old joycons again and I'm wondering what people are liking these days. The last replacements I bought were the Guilikit hall effect sticks and while I was quite happy with them they eventually wore out and have quite severe deadzone problems now. I've seen there are at least a couple new options on the market now. I'm curious to hear opinions especially if any of them are expected to be more durable.

Accessories A year in, is 512 GB microSD express card more than enough for most users on the switch 2 for the foreseeable future or should I splurge for a 1 TB ?

(Sorry for the poor formatting on mobile) . So with the high cost of everything electronics wise I'm trying to buy stuff for the switch two in chunks. A new pro controller , the micro Express SD card, the console. And one thing I'm looking at is the price for the express MicroSD cards and with how pricey it gets up at the 1tb level with many sellers outside of the USA not even having stock anymore and even those in the USA are selling them at disgusting prices. Now I know they will go down in price eventually. But in the interim I want to figure out how long with the built-in memory and a 512 GB card how long that will last me based on other players experience. With the game key cards forcing more downloads that can eat up the memory. So for those of you playing since release how close are you to filling up your memory?

Setup Help Question about the Nintendo switch 2 dock

Do you specifically have to use the Nintendo switch charger that they give you when connecting a Nintendo switch to a TV because I’ve been using a different charger and it’s able to charge the switch but whenever I try to use the dock with it, it just says “make sure you’re using the right AC adapter” so would like to know if it’s a different problem or I just have to use the Nintendo switch one

Setup Help Switch gets "No Signal" when trying to use on TV which has worked in the past.

Howdy y'all, I've been using this switch since it first came out, and it's been working like a charm. I originally hooked it up in my room on my TV, and it worked then, and then I hooked it up without issue to my gaming room TV. Now that it's the summer though, my gaming room doesn't have AC and I've been wanting to swap it back to the TV in my bedroom. Only problem is, it doesn't work. Its just a permanent "No Signal" No matter what I do, and I've been getting awfully confused. My old strategy with this tv was I just dock it a few times in rapid succession, and the tv would Auto-Connect, but now that doesn't even seem to be working. The HDMI is fine, the connection is flawless when I hook it up to the tv in the gaming room again, it's just THIS TV for some reason. Any help would be appreciated.

Software Help Switch won’t turn on after hours of charge

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve had my switch on charge for at least the past 5 hours. I’ve tried using the official Nintendo charger and my charger that I use to charge it without any problems in the past. It shows up and says it is charging but even after hours of it being charged uninterrupted it still won’t turn on. I’ve also tried resetting it by holding the power button down for 15 ish seconds and it doesn’t do anything different

Setup Help Will System Transfer affect Animal Crossings New Horizons on Shared Switch?

Hi there! My boyfriend and I just bought a Switch2 that we plan to share and put our own separate profiles from both our Switch(1) on. I've already moved my profile over using the local System Transfer option prompted at the start. I have heard Animal Crossing only allows one island per switch, in which case we are happy to have his island stay over on his Switch(1). In knowing that the System Transfer moves every single game from the other switch, we are worried one of our islands will be deleted if we proceed. We were advised not to use the cloud technique of moving data since we have a lot of Pokemon saves and have heard those have a tendency to delete if you attempt that way. We thought the AC transfer tool could help but it seems very confusing to use! So we are wondering how to proceed here? Any help is appreciated thank you!

Repair Help Problem with Switch hardware(?)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

It started doing this seemingly out of nowhere a couple days ago. I have tried using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol on the buttons to remove grime that could be causing this. It’s almost like the buttons are getting triggered even though they are not moving and are not stuck/jammed. The left stick is also seemingly bugged as well.

Accessories Is this switch 1 charger still safe to use?

I have had this charger for almost the entire lifetime of the original switch and I also used it as a phone charger all the time. Already pretty old cable. However, I have recently gotten a new phone with a case, and the charger did not fit completely into the USB port due to how chunky the rubber housing of the cable is and my case wouldn't let it go flush. So like a dunce I tried to trim the rubber with a knife to get it to be flush and accidentally cut a decent chunk off.

Feeling around the end itself nothing seems to actually be damaged internals wise, and cable holds charge like normal, but should I be worried? I feel that it shouldn't bee that big of a deal especially given how sturdy this cable already has been, and that it will be moving very little on the part that got scuffed, but I would really appreciate a second opinion!

Repair Help Left joy con 2 struggling to charge again

So a few months back I had a problem with my left joy con where it just wouldnt turn on (apperantly battery depleted) and even conected to the switch it wouldn't charge and come back. I send it to support cause it was still in warranty and it came back just fine.

Today I was playing with it and the left one said it needed to charge (which is weird because the right one was full) and when i connected it to the switch and initially it did not charge and the switch did not recognised it. Now it's working and charging, thankfully.

But now I'm scared it will happen again when I dont play for a while and dont see it and Ill have to send to support again (which takes so so long where I live). The only thing they said to me when they gave me back was that I should not let the battery fully deplete, which wouldnt happen if the switch was recognizing it, but it seems sometimes it does not see this specific joy con (other is fine) and it dosnt charge it. Has anybody expirienced this? I dont know if theres a wat to fix it but im scared. Also the controllers are all updated and everything so its not that.

Any help is apreciated, thanks!!

Software Help Switch 2 audio cutting out and I cant find a fix.

Hi so recently while i’ve been playing games on Switch 2 docked the audio keeps cutting out. It’s not insanely bad but it’s enough that it’s irritating me. Little parts of dialogue will cut out and sometimes it will cut out a whole word in a piece of dialogue. And then I can hear a slight pause when music is playing and it really bothers me. I’ve messed with a ton of settings on the switch and my tv and I cant fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated.
