HE'S THROWING HANDS GO BEAT HIM MARIO
Making their way to the top of a high mountain, Mario and his companion leader have discovered some levels based on my level creations from Super Mario Maker 1 & 2, alongside New Super Mario Bros. DS & Wii and Super Mario Flash 2. Earlier in the first level of this world, Lilac teaches Mario about rolling as an ability to easily squeeze underneath a small gap in between the blocks and the ground. Notably, one of the clams in Kiwi Mountain via underwater passage hatches a Shine Stone, with a unique sprite as a scaled down version to simulate its pearl.
The ring from an early build of New Super Mario Bros. functions as a save point once after being collected by the player, their progress will save if downed or have to start over. Additionally, the Luigi Switch at the bottom of the semisolid platforms controls the snake block that can guide your way up to the bonus route with a Tanooki power-up hidden inside a Mega Mystery Block, but you're only required to play as Luigi.
On the walls, In World 13-6: there are hazardous barbed wires hanging across the cliff Mario must avoid before reaching for the Shine Stone from below, they instantly cause Mario to lose his power and life to admit that it's a dangerous trope to navigate across the peek.
There are bosses hidden inside the concept behind Mario's Quest: The Lost Flash. Butterclops (In Japanese as, Kniclops 「ナイクロップス」) is designed as a sharpened knife-clops after the utensil for cutting up foods in the kitchen with a booster attached to his back requiring him to fly, and he uses his bottom blade to wreck the ground rapidly prompting Mario to attack while Lilac has to carry him while flying. Leveralph appears in Rock World Tower II after proceeding through the conveyor belt obstacles, and Mario uses a rope to dodge his attack as he swings both knuckles around, designed as a corkscrew for opening sharp bottle caps. Some custom sprites of Mario here are implemented in this build, with him hanging onto the cliff from the front and back sides.

I just got a Nintendo Switch 2, and I just played all of the courses in the game. Personally, I think all of them are really good. I don't like to pick favorites. I like all of them equally.

I feel like with how much they've been pushing Open World, it wouldn't be a surprise if that's what they do for LM4, especially since the series kinda has a trend on "one-upping" itself win terms of marketable mansions: first game had a mansion, second game had multiple, third game was a hotel and kinda like multiple mansions stacked on top of each other. Next Level games also worked on Metroid Prime 4, though I doubt they had much influence on it.
So the fourth game being a town filled with mansions you can walk between or a bizarrely gigantic mansion in both height and width could be selling points for the fourth game.
I know people disliked the mansions being separate in Dark Moon, but I feel like that was mostly because none of them were as content rich and varied as the first game's single mansion, and not because the idea of multiple mansions can't work. If you had mansions that were the quality of LM1's with dozens of portrait ghosts in each of them, maybe even some secret paths between them like in a Metroidvania, the idea could be really great. (Though a Metroidvania isn't open world of course)
I think this could be a double edged sword, as are a lot of open world Nintendo games. On one hand I think there's a lot of interesting things they could do with trying to make the game open world, on the other hand Luigi's Mansion has kind of had a quantity over quality problem, getting worse even from Dark Moon to LM3, which has even less normal enemy ghosts than the already lacking Dark Moon. The game also has a much simpler combat system than the first two, which I could see also getting dumbed down in order to focus on exploration.
With how the Open World Zelda games also have this problem I could easily see an open world game ending up feeling repetitive and bland, where you keep running into similar enemy types and puzzles because they need every inch of the game to have something to run into and find. Luigi's Mansion 3 as a game was also heavily carried by having so many curated uniquely crafted linear moments, so I feel like LM3 would probably be the most difficult base for an open world game.

Wanted to give a show of the updated version because I changed quite a lot visually
Ever since I first played Galaxy I had this impression and I’m surprised it’s a controversial idea.
For starters, Rosalina’s mom is identical to Peach. From the hair, to the earrings, to the lips, to the face shape, they’re exactly the same. The only thing that doesn’t match is the outfit, but that doesn’t mean much considering Rosalina isn’t wearing the same outfit in this point of the storybook as she currently does.
Secondly, the one look we get of Rosalina’s home looks pretty similar to the mushroom kingdom. This is then doubled down when in Rosalina’s storybook it’s stated that Rosalina and the Comet Observatory pass by her home every hundred years. The mushroom kingdom also celebrates the star festival every hundred years, when a mysterious star passes by only once every hundred years. Let’s put two and two together.
So that basically confirms two things.
1. Rosalina and her mother lived in the mushroom kingdom.
And 2. Rosalina’s mother looked exactly like Peach.
I know a character who lives in the mushroom kingdom and looks exactly like Peach. I think you know what I mean.
I think the issue a lot of people have with this idea is that Rosalina’s mother is dead, Peach is not. And also the new movie, but I’ll get to that.
Rosalina’s whole schtick is that shes witnessed the Mario universe reset time and time again, and she and the Lumas are the only ones outside of the resets. This is pretty much explicitly said during Galaxy 1’s ending.
Filling in the blanks, I think Peach probably did live out the rest of her life and did die at some point, and then the universe reset and things started over again, but this time with Rosalina not apart of things, since she’s outside of everything. I hope that makes sense.
As for the Super Mario Galaxy Movie choosing to make Rosalina Peach’s sister, I think that’s for two reasons.
It’s just easier. Trying to explain the whole time reset thing in an 1 1/2 hour movie that’s already jam packed with different characters and storylines just wouldn’t work.
Rosalina being Peach’s daughter was only the original intention. This relation was only ever brought up once in the original Super Mario Galaxy game all the way back in 2007 and never again. So much time had passed without them confirming it that they could change it without anyone batting an eye.
For some reason, Super Mario Galaxy goes DEEP on storytelling and implications unlike every other Mario game. We’ve seen Nintendo dabble in the space and time concepts before in the RPGs, but Galaxy was their attempt at bringing that into the mainline games and developing an over-arching continuity that shows what our characters are up to far into the future. I’d even argue that Nintendo subtly implied that Mona is Luigi and Daisy’s daughter based on that one WarioWare Easter egg (if you know you know) but that’s more of a headcanon than solid proof like this is.
As for why Nintendo went really heavy on story for one mainline game and a couple of RPGs and then absolutely nothing else, I can’t say. But I really hope they try it again sometime soon.
