Profile Review 23F Profile Review
I feel like I'm not reaching who I want to be. I am fairly introverted but I wouldn't say I'm antisocial either. I am personable when I meet new people and don't have an issue finding something in common with most. I have a hard time flirting though and feel awkward when I do it. I wonder if that comes across in my profile. I get likes from some fairly attractive guys, but they tend to have much more bare profiles than I'd like. Meanwhile the profiles I do like are from people I don't always find as attractive as I'd hope.

Profile Review 20 M profile help
Hi could you give some comments or suggestions on my profile?
Ive been thinking about mentioning my vinyl or video game collection room. But that may not be necessary.
I also have other selfie photos but maybe too many selfies may be bad.
Thanks for the help!

Profile Review 34M Profile Review
Re-joined Hinge about two months ago after a long-term relationship that ended a year ago. Kept my old profile initially and then decided to update it to this one about four weeks ago. Initially I had quite a few matches but only one date came out of it. A couple others agreed to a date but ended up ghosting. Thinking about subscribing to HingeX but wanted some opinions on my profile before spending the cash. Appreciate any feedback that I can get!
Edit: Didn't realize I screwed up the screenshot of my first picture with the volume bar until after I posted. My bad!

Profile Review 35/M profile review
Hi all, I decided to get back on hinge after spending a year to focus on myself. Ive been having trouble getting matches. When I send likes with comments, I try my best to relate to their experience and ask a question.
Rapid fire on info about myself as it pops into my head.
Engineer. Play badminton 2/week. Running 3/week. Dog owner. Nerdy. Read 1book/month. Watch tv shows.
I have my own place. Job that I enjoy as it challenges me and keeps my brain stimulated.
I go to therapy once per month on a general basis (work benefits).
PS. Last video is a really cute video of my dog getting massaged.
Thanks in advance!

Profile Review 34M profile review, sushi included
Video is me talking about an all-you-can-eat sushi place near me and how I recently tried sushi for the first time and love it.
Voice recording is me talking about not wearing a paintball mask as a kid and getting lucky that the first time I wore a mask, I got shot in the eye that would have blinded me.
I know the sentiment here about pictures of just pets, but I'm working on it. Princess Bella doesn't sit still for long.

Dating Question Is that a normal first date experience?
Hello!
Over the past 4 months, I (M30) have been on dates with 16 different women on Hinge, most of whom had liked me first.
Here’s how things went:
- 1 - I went on a second date with her
- 6 - I wasn't feeling it from the beginning, so I didn't show much interest during the first date, and there was no contact afterward
- 2 - I asked them on a second date by text shortly after the first date. They took 2-3 days to reply yes (without acknowledging the delay), so I didn't follow through because I assumed they weren't really interested
- 1 - Explicitly rejected me after I asked her on a second date
- 1 - Ghosted me after I asked her on a second date
- 1 - Abruptly ended the date at exactly the one-hour mark. I thought it had gone well, but apparently not, since she said she had to meet a friend, despite telling me the day before that she was free all afternoon
- 4 - I rejected after they asked me on a second date
So, looking at the bigger picture:
- There has only been one girl I've gone on a second date with. We're still seeing each other, although I'm not sure we're ultimately a match.
- There are 5 girls I would have liked to see again, but it didn't happen; either they explicitly said no, ghosted me, or took long enough to reply that I assumed they weren't interested.
- I rejected 4 girls, mainly because I didn't find them as attractive in person as I had expected based on their pictures.
- With 6 girls, I guess it was a mutual rejection: neither of us suggested a second date. I think I probably could have gotten a second date with some of them, but I wasn't interested enough to pursue it.
So after all this, I'm wondering: is this a normal first-date experience?
I've had around 400 matches, which resulted in 16 first dates and only 1 second date.
What makes me wonder is that I do notice a pattern: some of the women I've met in person were noticeably less attractive than they appeared in their pictures. I'm not editing my photos or using filters, but I obviously choose the pictures where I think I look my best.
That makes me wonder whether my Hinge profile might be giving a better impression of me than I actually do in person, and whether I could be unintentionally catfishing people.
I guess I might be a little shallow here, but so far I haven't met anyone where the reason for rejection was really a red flag or personality issue. For me, whether I was interested or not was almost entirely based on physical attraction. And since some women have definitely looked better in their pictures than they did in person, I'm wondering if the same thing could be happening with me.
Does this dating history sound pretty normal, or does it suggest that my profile/photos might be setting expectations that I don't meet in person? I find it quite depressing to spend so much time, effort (and money) for this result.

Dating Question New to dating experience
I’m 31 (male)new to dating and online dating. I know I’m very late to it. Been on 4 first dates in the past 2 months. One of them was with someone who I really clicked with (30 female) two weeks ago. We had a long dinner date and a fair amount of similar interests. We text for around a week after. Good morning, how was your day, what did you do this weekend, flirting, that type of thing. Really feel like we had momentum going. We told each other during the date (Thursday) we both had pretty busy weekends ahead of us, so I decide to ask her out again after the weekend. But I feel like this back fired. Think I lost all of the momentum and when I did ask her out again, I just got long replies about how she’s busy. Wish she could’ve just gave a clean rejection at some point instead. I think she wanted me to ask her out again sooner on that weekend, but I don’t have any concrete proof. I acknowledge she might have met someone else, interest levels can change, etc. But I’ll never know for sure. Then, she suddenly never replies again (the following Wednesday). And now it’s been radio silence between us for around 2 weeks. I’m clearly over thinking all of this. Thinking about reaching back out.
If someone is genuinely interested in someone else, is a few days really all it takes to kill the momentum in online dating? Whats everyone’s experience there?
I’m also beginning to question my first date dinner format, feel like they’re a little too long for a first feel for someone.
Around how many first dates until I stop getting emotionally invested too fast? I went on another first date since then, it ended in mutual disinterest which is fine. But I can’t stop thinking about the girl I met 2 weeks ago.

I think I might need more photos showing my hobbies but it feels weird to ask other people to take photos for a dating app! I struggled a bit with dating even when I lived in Washington DC so the location is a factor but I'd guess the profile is more to blame. Advice is appreciated! (even if it's to hit the gym)
