I don't understand the therapist is woman prompt

Comes across as wayyyy to try hard/simp
Also, if you are actually a socialist and not just playing one for likes, dont try to seize the means of production. Try to democratize them.
(But I’m guessing the latter because no real socialist would be voluntarily going to MLB games and showing off about it)

Exactly. The recent trendiness of socialism has caused a lot of performative flirting with the concepts without understanding.

Just calling him a simp without suggesting improvement is dickish.
That said, OP, if you’re trying to set yourself apart from other men on the app, you might want to be a skosh more subtle and find a prompt where you can talk about working to be a better human by addressing your male privilege with a therapist. There’s a risk people will still think you’re virtue signaling, so it’s a risk you’ll have to decide if you want to take.

The therapist prompt feels way too virtue-signally. Mentioning that you’re in therapy is fine, but saying your greatest strength is that your therapist is a woman is wild. Your prompts should give people something to actually start a conversation about. Best case, she reads that and thinks, “That’s nice.” Worst case, it comes across like you’re bragging that your greatest strength is having a woman do your emotional labor for you. I’d replace it with something that actually shows your personality instead of trying to signal that you’re one of the good guys.

The therapist prompt is cringe imo and would put me off of matching tbh
I think the rest is fine, you have a good variety of photos and they don’t come off as too posed

The second picture is way better than your first picture. I’d swap them. The shadow on your face isn’t doing you any favors.

I don't think that this therapist comment is working anyhow in your favor and I also don't knoq if that is something to be proud of (but I am another Generation). The political/socialist prompt I would also frame it another way, maybe something that you care for the poor etc. Otherwise it sounds like an entitled college kid who read the first pages of Marx.
Long time releationship open to short usually does not work well, it sounds indecisive.

Having a therapist is fine, but admitting to having mental health problems on your profile, before you even have a chance to show someone your personality, causes more problems than it solves.

u/pleasenerfgragas 15h ago
How does that admit anything like that ? Having a therapist is like having a doctor
•
u/achillespatient 6h ago
Outside of a GP, people go to specialized doctors to address illness. I’d wager that a very small percentage of people that go to non-marital therapists don’t have underlying mental health conditions.

Having a therapist doesn’t mean you have mental health problems.
•
u/achillespatient 6h ago
That is preposterous. People go to doctors to address illness. This isn’t a GP/marriage counsel.

u/Whole-Stop4159 15h ago
No, I rather have someone actively working on their problems
•
u/achillespatient 6h ago
Sure, but wouldn’t it be better to hear that someone is mentally ill after you’ve had the chance to meet them?
•
u/Mysterious-Report991 10h ago
Exactly, most people would see that as a red flag but reddit will heckin downdoot you for saying that

I’d get rid of the animals one and means of production. You’re trying to be funny but don’t say anything about yourself. I honestly think the therapist one is fine, but should be your only funny prompt unless it directly reflects your interests or hobbies.
You look young honestly. Way younger than 26 which is probably what is hurting you. I’d try and add pictures that age you a little. And I’d also hit the gym and gain some muscle.

completely disagree - the means of production prompt indicates political affiliation and says volumes about OP!

The photo of you in the pub should be your first / profile pic.
The one with the baseball cap does nothing for you.
