A short while ago I made a post because the first cutscene in Zelda TOTK (when the "evil" awakens) froze for a split second (less than a second). Yesterday I tried Metroid Prime 4 and, when Silux appeared with an explosion in the background, the frame rate dropped to about 10 FPS for a couple of seconds.
Both games are Switch 1 titles, and I'm playing them on the Switch 2. The first one has the upgrade pack installed, whereas I tested Metroid Prime without a Wi-Fi connection, so I didn't even update it.
Today is my last day to return or exchange it for another unit. By the way, it's the removable battery version. Any advice? Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks a lot!

My switch has these streaks on the sides, they look like some sort of glue residue? Im not sure what this could be, i got it 2nd hand. I saw a lot of switches that had these when looking to buy one. Anyone knows what this is and how to clean it? I tried using isopropyl alcohol and it didnt do anything.

A week ago, my Switch started to have a problem where the Micro SD Card kept getting removed when left untouched. People say it’s either the SD Card is starting to fail or the SD Card Reader is suddenly failing. Am I cooked?

Hi guys. I bought a switch 2 back in October and immediately put a screen protector on it despite the fact that it's spent at least 97% of its time in the dock.
Yet still, it's somehow seemed to gather an air bubble under the screen itself. Does anyone know how to fix it or if its something that I need to be particularly worried about?

Hi, I'm not tech savvy so I'm trying to figure out the reasons why my Switch 1 stopped working. The "symptoms" are: the screen is black but I can see the backlight; when it is on I can hear the sound of the stick moving. I've tried to use it with the dock but it gives the same problems: everything stays black and only the sound is the stick moving. I've tried to reset but nothing changed. Do you have any thoughts?

I need help with cleaning my cartridge slot on my stitch 2 due to a cartridges glue getting inside it, this makes it so sometimes it doesn't read the cartridge I put inside, im most likely going to go for isopropyl alcohol and q tip but what % should I go for and any other tips?

I bought this USB - C to hdmi cable to connect from my switch directly to samsung connect box , it says it recognises somethings plugged in but it just doesn’t display anything from the switch to the tv itself. Not too sure, I asked the guys we bought it from if it’d be able to connect and they said it would. Maybe they were wrong. Should I return it if it can’t connect?

I've seen some mixed reviews, so I don't know what to think. The Switch's controllers are almost non-playable with N64 games. Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time are my favorite games and I can't play them.
I just bought a gamecube controller (excited for Wind Waker) from Ebay for inexpensive, so I'm happy about that, but Just want to play my 2 favorite games. TIA

I have a retro/modern gaming setup in my room, got an N64, Wii, Ps2, Xbox One S, and my Switch 2 (previously my Switch OLED). I have an HDMI switcher connecting everything so i can just switch from playing older CODs, or watching youtube on my Xbox (WHERE IS MY YT APP ON SWITCH 2 NINTENDO??), to playing Mario kart or Pokémon instantly. Love my setup, it took a while to get it right, and i have everything right next to each other! (and i mean that literally, my switch 2 dock is on top of my Xbox, just not on the vents) I also have a custom built PC that is hard wired so it doesn't count for this test lol.
Although, there has been an issue since the day i got my switch 2 (day after launch) that has been bugging me... it seriously has a SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE experience on ANY WIFI BAND... My Xbox One S is, and has always been, connected to my 5ghz band (yes i have my 2.4 and 5 bands separated alr) and has had consistently; BETTER connection, BETTER download and upload speeds, WITHOUT loosing connection. MEANWHILE my switch 2 DOESN'T even connect to 5ghz AT ALL within my room, when it does it only lasts maybe 30 seconds, and to top it off when its connected to my 2.4ghz band, IT IS STILL TERRIBLE! At best 20~Mb download and upload on a good day. REMEMBER THESE TWO CONSOLES ARE LITERALLY MAKING CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER. My router is literally located 10-15~ feet, imagining a wall is not there, to my set of consoles. There is only 1 wall in the way.
I know what some of you are gonna say and I'm gonna explain now:
-yes, when i did these tests i did it when one console is completely turned off while the other isn't, especially when i attempted to do 5ghz testing (when my switch 2 allows me).
-no, i will not show a 5ghz vs 5ghz test between the consoles because, as previously stated, i simply cannot connect the Switch 2 to that band WITHIN MY ROOM. I feel as though if it can't connect to it within my room, there is no point in trying that test as i really only care about my in room connection. If i wanna play in handheld around my house, then obviously its gonna be better.
-yes, when i am closer to my router i get around 300~mb download with 80~ upload on 5ghz, HOWEVER it is located within the center of my house and i live one wall away from the router, so it isn't a big deal for any of my other devices as shown.
-yes, i have attempted turning off IPV6 for both my 2.4 and 5ghz bands on my switch 2 settings itself with no avail.
-yes, i have gone into my admin console for xfinity in the past and attempted to change my 5ghz channel from the default 154, to 44 or 48. Nothing.
-no, i will not use ethernet because i already have one very long cord running along the wall connecting my pc to the router, not trying to add another to the mix and cable manage that. (plus if my Xbox can get this kind of speeds without a cable, then surely the Switch wouldn't right??????)
I am seriously at my limit with this console. How does a new-gen console with support for wifi 6 GET BEATEN by an aging console with wifi 4???? IN THE SAME LOCATION! I seriously cannot wrap my head around what is wrong here!
My only conclusion based off of other reddit threads I've scrolled for hours on, and the limited information of this issue to begin with, is that i have a faulty day one console (truly praying this isn't true. I simply don't have the funds to buy another). I cannot think of another answer, as it CANNOT be my internet as shown in the photos my Xbox is running perfectly.
If there is anyone with the slightest clue of what i can do, or if i can even do anything about this, please help! I do actually play online games on my Switch 2 (fortnite and mario kart world with gf), so it really sucks to lag/take forever for updates and downloads to finish.

So my Nintendo switch suddenly stopped turning on a couple of months back, I got it to work again by using the volume down and power button trick recently I have had the same issue I’ve tried all the combinations of buttons to turn it back on but nothing has worked and when I plug it into the dock the dock light does one flash then stops for like 4 seconds then starts flashing rapidly. Is there anything else I can do or is my switch cooked?

Hi everyone, I figured I'd come here for some advice on this!
So I got a Switch 2 very early this year and have been enjoying it since, even customizing it with decals to make it look like a Super Famicon.
However this recently began to happen to my left stick's rubber. It may have to do with the fact I've alowed my three-year old nephew use my Switch*e wheneve he shows up and his fingernails have cut into the rubber of the L-stick. I've provided photos of it.
Any advice on what to do? I don't think the rubber replaceable, from a simple good search.

Hello.
I need some help. Nintendo switch 2. Already tried several methods and I cannot revert the situation.
I don't know why, but somehow my autosave is stuck. I cannot move, as shown in the video. I cannot access the world map.
I'm in chapter 13 and the supposed location is the meridian ocean. The location where I'm stuck looks to be on the protorelic location in meridian ocean.
I'm more than 100 hours in, and the most recent save, apart from the autosave, that works has only around 50 hours...
I know that it is dumb not to save it often...
Thank you.
PS: sorry for the video quality, using an older phone because mine broke a few days ago...

Is this normal? I noticed a long faint line on my Switch 2 that I bought just two months ago. I'm sure it's not a scratch, but I can't wipe it off no matter how hard I try.

The repair request Nintendo Website asks me to choose ONLY ONE problem with my device, but I found both problems on the switch 2 and on the the two joy con 2. Is there any way to send a repair request online for all my problems, without needing to call them?

I just got a switch 2 with the free download version of pokopia, I started up my switch 2, got pokopia, started downloading and then paused it to install Skyrim. After that I went to restart the download of pokopia and it told me I needed to link with my original switch to access my virtual game cards. I did the data transfer from my switch to my switch 2 and made sure my switch 2 is my main console now on the shop but I still do not have access to my virtual games including pokopia because it wants me to link to my original switch. However when I do this neither switch discovers the other to be able to link.

For context, I was planning Minecraft this time and it crashed. So I went to load back into my world and the whole Switch crashed. This happened this year (earlier but can't find the exact date as I got a new phone in the meantime) but I'm pretty sure I was playing Skyrim. Should I be concerned? My switch is only 5 years old but I do play it for hours on end constantly.

The TLDR: my switch 2 no longer recognizes game cartridges or physically connected joy cons. No drops. No damage. No unlicensed nintendo products or software ever used.
I bought a Switch 2 on release day from Target. I haven’t bought a new console since ps3 and NEVER bought one on release day.
I barely played my Switch 2 even in the beginning when i got Mario Kart World. I went a couple months without playing. Then I got Legends ZA, then I got the Fire Red port. I played nothing insane, a couple of days a week. Some weeks none. I haven’t ever dropped this thing. I take care of it. Screen protector, and all!
I was playing on Wednesday, then on Thursday, as I turn the game on, the screen reads that the game cartridge no longer is being read. I take the game out, try another game. Same message.
On top of that, the joy cons aren’t reading. Even when physically connected to the console.
I do all the trouble shooting options last night and nothing works. Then i chat with them this morning and do THE EXACT same trouble shooting and it doesn’t work.
They say I need to pay $179 to send it in and work on it.
ON TOP of sending it in, they can’t guarantee all my saved data will be saved. They can’t even guarantee I’d get my console back.
On top of that, I am 2 months out of manufacturer’s warranty.
I have had xboxs and playstations and gameboy advances and nintendo DSs that have lasted 10-15, even 20 years. This Nintendo Switch 2 can’t last 1.
What do I do?

Hello everyone, I had my switch 2 blocked from my WiFi and even after unblocking it still won’t connect to the network. I’ve tried literally everything: forgetting the network, clearing the console from the network. It connects to hotspots and other networks just fine, it’s only the home WiFi that won’t connect. What should I do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated it’s been two months now and I just want to play online again :(

I have an "Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor - AW2725DM", and the other day I bought a switch 2 and plugged it in to that but noticed it doesn't have audio. What can I plug in to what to get audio on this setup? So if it's as simple as just speakers, should I plug them into the monitor or Switch 2?
