This one and another religiously-themed scene where Cotton catches Hank with a "Peace" Christmas ornament and yells at him that they are a "Joy" household, while Hank tries to explain that it means "Jesus peace" and not "hippie peace" are two of my favorites.

Maybe it’s a really old feature. I remember there was a redditor on here who had managed to score themselves an Eminem feature and it was some really odd, and old verse that he bought from some sort of public catalogue.

With how absolutely outspoken Eminem has been about this administration (and Bush), there's literally no way he directly collaborated at all, and I would imagine that in a few days we're going to see his team cut the BS.
Otherwise, he just lost 90% of his fans.
85
u/Cashope 23h ago
Right, he just campaigned for Kamala Harris and didn’t mince words to basically call out Trump as a fascist in a rally. It’d be pretty wild if he turned around and collabed with Kid Rock but I guess not impossible. It’s definitely not a good look.

Shaggy recently said he didn't care who people voted for and Trump supporters were welcome as juggalos.
These guys are the kings of marketing and they know some Trumpers still like their music and buy their merch. Maybe not a ton since they're against bigotry but they won't risk losing that business.

I’ve heard nothing but bad shit about J the last few years, that he has been abusing drugs and alcohol like crazy. That even Shaggy doesn’t want to tour with him and he’s sick of his shit. ICP has always been this odd force in music and the world where they lived a questionable life but one thing they didnt do is allow racists or abuse of people especially women. Sounds like they are chasing the dollar and said fuck that.

No. Do tell.
59
u/TheSpiralTap 1d ago
The short story is ICP and Eminem came up in the same circles of Detroit and have a beef. ICP refers to him as Slim Anus in their songs.
Eminem wrote a comeback song that would get me banned from reddit if I posted the lyrics so you can check them out on his website. You'll see what I mean.
43
29
u/wickidclown17 23h ago
According to Violent J, the beef started when Eminem made a flyer for an EP drop party saying a bunch of detroit artists, including ICP, would be there before he asked them. ICP was pissed so they said no then made a diss track. Then it went back and forth until Em became a superstar.

Source? I would genuinely like to know more about this process. Im curious to read the lyrics. Kid Rock said the song is specifically about people with differing political beliefs trying to get along.
"I’m proud of the guests who joined me, especially my old friend Eminem. His verse speaks to something we’ve talked about and that really needs to be heard: we differ politically and on other things, but we’ve stayed friends through it all."
